After the update I have an error with the TextFieldInmputHandler.VariableWritten which is implemented if de visualisation part of my software. The interface seems to have changed. I cannot find the new implementation. Does anyone know how to solve this issue.

Hello together I'm currently investing in possibilities to have a central engineering software / system for Codesys based controllers. Something like a DCS / SCADA depending on where you see the functionality. We plan to use more or less vanilla codesys. The tool should support the following: - Connect to multiple PLC's in a project to see its variables and debug it. - Central Engineering capabilities (for example shared libraries in a project). - Download the new code / binaries to the plc. - Maybe have functionality to combine visualization elements and logic together. - See the live status variables on all the systems (crosscommunication). I see that codesys theoretically supports engineering of multiple PLC's, but I couldnt find to much functionality for a DCS type of operation, but that could be lack of knowledge. Any tips from you? Is Codesys good enough for this and maybe there are some manufacturers which build around it? Or are there good tools on the market with Codesys support (and the engineering is separate, but download to codesys possible). The use case is distributed energy installations like Heating pumps, Photovoltaics, etc. All these installations should have a PLC with codesys installed and run in one larger network, the PLC's are connected via VPN. I am trying to install the MQTT Client SL in an existing project I have been working on for years. After adding the library to the project, and without adding any other code, upon building I get a C0180: Ambiguous namespace 'MBM' error between the memory block manager (MBM) in the NetBaseSrv dependency of the MQTT Client SL library and the memory block manager (MBM) in the CAA CanL2 dependency of the 3S CANopen stack library. I have tried: * setting "Only allow qualified access to all identifiers." in the properties for both the parent libraries. * deleting the 3S CANopen stack library. Upon (re)building the error simply points to another conflicting library - there are many. * deleting the Library Manager and rebuilding it. * adding the memory block manager library (used in the NetBaseSrv) manually and changing its namespace to MBM3S. None of the above allow me to access the MQTT library through its namespace (MQTT). Adding the memory block manager manually removes the C0180 error, but the MQTT library is not accessible - i.e. mqttClient : MQTT.MQTTClient; highlights the mqttClient as "Identifier 'MQTT.MQTTClient' not defined". Is there anything else I can try?

Hi, I am trying to get a basic safety application to download but I keep getting an "Invalid ERR Ack input" and "The Standard Inputs Size of zero is not allowed". I am simply using 2 safety inputs through an "AND" block to 2 safety outputs. Any help would be appreciated. Regards Trevor.

Ok, I got UTF-8 encoding working by encoding the full block character using [16#E2, 16#96, 16#88], which corresponds to U+2588 "█". Moving forward, I’ll use this for creating a QR code with Version 10-M (byte mode). This version allows up to 213 characters to be encoded.

Anyone else using the SEND_RECV_MSG function block for RS-485 communication on Schneider Machine Expert? I have had ongoing issues with it for several years, which Schneider tech support is aware of, but hasn't been able to fix. The latest version of Machine Expert (v2.2) appears to have broken some of the functionality altogether. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone else using this platform for serial communication.

I got the shared memory example. I'm pretty sure I'm successfully created a memory space, CreateResult returns 18. szName:='CodesysDataShare'; hShm := SysSharedMemoryCreate(szName, 0, ADR(uxiSize), ADR(CreateResult)); I'm trying to access this memory with a C# application, but I get "Unable to Find Specified File". I suspect that Codesys and/or Visual Studio code alters the name I choose? Hello, currently im working with a RevPi connect 5 on a codesys project. Up until now I was having a blast because things were going really smooth but for like almost a day im kind of stuck on the integration of multiple profinet sensors into my project. This is kind of a bummer because that should be an easy thing to do. What I tried so far was to create and additional ethernet adapter where I then tried to connect my devices. in the beginning I tried to connect the devices directly which was not working because I could assign the IP-adress only to the ethernet adapter and not to the devices but the device was found in the device repository (this gets important in the second part) So what I tried next was to setup a PN-Controller and connect my devices subsequently to the Controller. Sadly now the devices wont show up in the device repository anymore. To me its not clear why this is happening. And the worst thing is: I went ahead and setup a device completely like I would want to have it in the project and when I then click on scan devices I can even find the device. But it can not be added to project for whatever reason eventhough im 100% certain that the gsdml file is the correct one. Can anyone help me with this. Like I said this seems like an easy thing to do and its taking me way longer than expected already. The only thing that came to my mind why this might not work is because I have codesys license which only allows one profinet instance. Could that be the case? The error message seems then pretty unfit but ok. I will be grateful for every advice. Thanks in advance! Best regards!
