16.4 Epis What has it to do with the manufacture? It just a licence more not. So basicly the idee of codesys sucks. 3s acts like its posible to add a license. And then it depence on the manufacturer. Why ?? Its a computer !! has nothing to do with the manufacturer. Most dont what a basic licence because they have to pay for that. 3s is the problem not the manufacture of the hardware. Its like the licence of the raspberry pi. HMI is not working. Sorry you get a refund. Why suggest that its possible wen its not !!. It cost me a lot of time. Who pays my time. Why do i have to pay for somting thats not working.

I have a project with hundreds of OPC-UA variables available on the network. A lot of these variables are used actively in various scripts that run in background in the OS (Linux). I'm experimenting with Automation Server and I have a hard time understanding how the web interface populates its parameters list for a given PLC (<plc details="" parameters="" for="" plc="" 'xyz'="">).</plc> In this page, it looks like the only variables available are the ones that are of a "base" type : bool, TIME, String, INT, etc. All the variables that are nested into function blocks or structures are not available in the web interface, even if they are available to any OPC-UA client. Is this a limitation of the Automation Server or is there something that can be done in Codesys?

Hi erveyone, Rau here, first time asking on CODESYS Forge: When working with my servodrives, a special behaviour is required on dsp402 0x60B8 object, a control that is not supported by MC_TouchProbe. For this reason, I'd like to ask: Anyone knows if there is any way to bypass or change the softmotion axis writting into 0x60B8 object? My main problem is that MC_TouchProbe.TriggerInput.iTriggerNumber only allows to choose between TP 1 and TP 2 (not both at the same time). iTriggerNumber only allows values [0, 1, 2, 3], other values triggers an error in the FB, wether SMC_TP_COMM_ERROR for values [4, 5, 6, 7] and SMC_TRIGGER_OUT_OF_RANGE with any other value. An other approach is to split the application into a hard real-time part running in CODESYS and the business logic running in Python asyncio. The business logic part is usually bigger and changes more often. As Python code is pure text, vscode and git are your friends. Hi, I had a question about alarm management in the CODESYS visualization. I am currently investigating to what extent the alarm visualization can be built dynamically. In my program, I have developed a motor block that is used for multiple motors. When the emergency stop of one or more motors is activated, the corresponding motors are displayed in the alarm list (see image). This works quite well. I achieved this by linking variables to a latch, after which a piece of code displays the motors that are in emergency stop. My question is: do I need to create a separate latch for each motor or can I use a single latch to display multiple alarms of a motor underneath each other? This would then look like this: Time…: M1 Emergency Stop Active Time…: M4 Emergency Stop Active

I am currently developing a library that contains real‑time data. To handle this real‑time data, I am using additional libraries called SysTime and SysTypes Interfaces. When I compile my library on its own, no errors occur. However, when I use this library in a project and compile the project, I get an error indicating that the SysTime data type is not recognized. This happens even though the SysTime library is visible as a dependency under my library. Does anyone know how to correctly include a library within another library so that the project recognizes the sub‑library without causing compilation errors?

Hi, sorry I was not there for a long time. The TCA9548 needs terminating resistors, do you have them in? That's why I went to QWIIC, the muxboard already has them built in. If it still does not work, try it first without the muxboard. PS: Note the channel assignment. Muxboard 0 = I2C_Master 1,0,0,0,0,0,0,0 Muxboard 1 = I2C_Master 2,0,0,0,0,0,0,0 etc.

OK, that makes sense. Because the FB is provided a specific interval period, it would change the target position accordingly based on the time it "thought" elapsed. If it has the wrong interval provided, it updates the target positions every cycle incorrectly so the axes will end up moving faster or slower. Thanks!

have a look at UNIONs. With a union you are able to write single bytes to the same adress area which belongs to a float variable at the same time. I like to do a lot of convertions belonging to interfaces and fieldbus in this way, f.eg. word / byte swapping etc.

We are having issues right now, and I just stumbled on that post. It seems to me you are saying your Linux ARM control is RPi 5-compatible, but the one you sell specifically for RPi is not. The fix you are proposing requires customers to re-purchase a CODESYS licence. Is there a time frame for that to be fixed?

Hi, I have the same problem. Some of the libraries I created over time depend on writing files to a folders like c:\Temp. I can confirm that proposed solution is not working with 3.5.20 Patch 2. Can you please specify wich exactly .cfg file needs to be modified and in what way, in order to include c:\Temp in the SysFile path? Thank you!

Hi, I got good results with SMC_NCDecoder, SMC_CheckVelocities, etc. in a freewheeling task with lower priority (higher number). Still takes some time but I'm using many variables and loops in my g-code and more preprocessing like SMC_SmoothPath, SMC_LimitDynamics, SMC_CheckForLimits. PS: your buffer size seems a bit high for 34 lines of g-code

It seems to only log the last usage at initialisation and that is it? how do i gain ongoing access to the time variable as the code is running? Thankyou.

I installed patch 3 now and i get a new message, although i located and modified the files in system32 and sysWOW64 still doesn't work. One thing i noticed is thta in system32 folder CODESYSGatewayV3 now i have two different XXXXXXXX files with the latest being created today at the time of installation

Hello, I have the same problem now with 3.5.20 Patch 3. Normally it works if I ad in CODESYSControl.cfg: [SysFile] ForceIecFilePath=0 (This told me codesys last time) I try to use the placeholders but without success. Something special is that the Files are not in C:. The Plc Configuration Path is not as usual C:\ProgrammData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlRTEV3\, it's E:\Control.
