Greetings to all, I'm working on a webvisu project on control win V3 x64 runtime, and have purchased 3 licenses for my application. -Codesys Control Standard M -Codesys Visualization L -Codesys Communication M I have them installed on a Codesys usb dongle When I try to download the program, a login error window appears with the message "No valid license found for the webvisualization". The control win v3 communicates with 3 plc, and have enabled communication over codesys V3 communication by adding one datasource for every plc in the datamanager. If I remove the data manager from the project, the rest of the visualisation can be downloaded normally. Do I need to purchase another License and which one? Please find attached the software metrics and the error screen.

Hallo zusammen, ich habe nach einem PC-tausch Probleme mit dem Versenden von Mails. Ich Nutze dazu die die Bibliothek Mail_Service_SL 1.12.0.0. Codesys ist die Version 3.5 SP21 Patch 2. Als Mailserver benutze ich Gmail. Als SMTP habe ich smtp.gmail.com eingetragen und Port 25 oder 465 oder 587 getestet. Connection Typ ist TLS und StartTLS ist true. Wenn ich eine Mail senden will, bekomme ich ein Timeout Fehler. In der Firewall habe ich die Ports alle Freigegeben. Unter Windows 10 hat das auch noch so funktioniert. Mit Windows 11 klappt es nicht mehr. Hat jemand eine Idee, woran das liegen kann?

would be great to have such fucntionality. Sometimes it is not clear for user which elemetns are blocked and which are not - the greyed out eleemtns are not so different for low resolution / low quality screeens. What I have in my mind as well is to have a possibility to detect the visu Element clicked on and get its Access Rights. If it is blocked/deactivated, the dialog can be rised with INFO 'please login first with proper rights'. It is possible now to have a Mose event Handler ( Examples -> EventHandler) and rise the dialog out of ST (Exapmpals -> ST Dialogs). I am struggling still with getting the separate Visu Element under the mouse and its structure info

Trying the web-version of trend-data. This seems to be a impressive tool, but I lack/cant find a number of what I would think are important parts. There does not seem to be a way to get away from the dot.notated variable naming in the legend.. A developer might want the dot-notation but an end-customer will surely not. For instance I want to display 12 temperatures, instead of t1, t2 etc.. they will be named. gvl_io.unit[1].trend.temps.t1_a gvl_io.unit[1].trend.temps.t1_b gvl_io.unit[1].trend.temps.t1_c gvl_io.unit[1].trend.temps.t2_a .. gvl_io.unit[1].trend.temps.t4_b.. gvl_io.unit[1].trend.temps.t4_c.. Quite a lot of unnecessary text/data taking space from the actual trend => Is there a way to access/interface the legend-data programmatically so I can change the presentation/naming?

There seems to have been included an updated in the last release 4.9.0.0 or am I wrong (I think I tried out these settings previously without giving the result I wanted contrary to what I see today)? Now an empty check box for "display variable name" is effective, and will present the Variable with the "Description" instead. Perfect! Seems to be some minor formatting still that needs adjustment. See attached screenshot. The apostrophe "'" between "description" I suppose should not be there? Also I guess the same apostrophe (although not visibly shown) gives an extra space between the variable-description and the ":"?? Thanks!

Hello Alex, the message is generated by the CODESYS code generator based on the DevDesc settings of the memory areas available for the target. The problem arises when after too many online changes the area is full. Therefore no more boot project can be generated. Short-term remedy as described in the dialog: Clean and fresh download. This way the initial memory size will be "used" again After how many online changes did this error occur? There is no set limit on the number of online changes, but making too many changes could be a risk. br Simon

Still looking for a solution. I have gathered more information that might help: Device: ABB AC500 PM556-TP-ETH Firmware version: 2.4.2.14993 (dated 2014) Open ports confirmed: 502 (Modbus TCP), 1200 and 1201 (CODESYS runtime). SSH (22) and HTTP (80) are not reachable. No SD card in the PLC. I can connect via Automation Builder using the current IP and Online Login works, but I have no original source project available. Automation Builder requires a full PLC download to apply IP changes, which we want to avoid as it would overwrite the running program. Any guidance on how to change the IP without a full download would be greatly appreciated. I am also open to solutions using third party tools, DCP protocol, or scripts. Thank you

I think I understand my problem. They are most probably related to configuration of the network. When I use DHCP for the unit to my router it all works. However when using static IP I have not managed to reach functioning state. Trying to replicate the situation on my desk. Having a static IP on the "debian host" and a connection to my computer which then routes traffic on to internet. I have entered settings for gateway and netmask. I can ping from my "debian plc host" to internet and also do "curl google.com" so traffic seems to find its way through and back, still "Automation server" will not find the gateway. Any hints how a manual configuration should be done? Is it possibly a "firewall" issue of my "normal router"? Thanks for any help! Per

Sorry, I've never used Raspy. Maybe someone else can help. From personal experience, I've had license activation issues, but it was caused by my company firewall, which was blocking traffic from the Codesys license server. So I found that the license was listed as activated on the server (and therefore used and no longer activable), but it wasn't present in the PLC. I solved the problem by using an unblocked internet connection when I needed to activate the purchased license ticket. Since then, the activation process has always worked, and I've never lost any licenses.

I'm trying to work with Codesys Control for Linux ARM64 SL 4.18.0.0 on a Toradex Verdin NXP iMX8MP. I have the runtime installed and operational as well as Codemeter lite 8.40.7141.503 (arm64). I'm running 3.5.20.60 and when "Scan Network" I see the Verdin popup. When I try to connect to it, the "mandatory use of the user management" popup shows...which makes sense. I click YES and enter user information and click OK. It immediately displays a "No device is responding to the scan request" popup. The IDE can see the Verdin in the scan...so this popup does not make sense to me. I thought maybe it was a read only issue but I've made all partitions and paths RW. Has anyone experienced this? Can anyone tell me where it is trying to write user data?

But this is my take on your question: When the STO of the slave is triggered, store the current master position (e.g. 225 units) After the reset of the slave error, call MC_SetPosition on the virtual master and reset it to the stored position (225 units) Optionally, before MC_CamIn is restartet, move the slave back to the slave position corresponding to the stored master position. (If you do this, no ramping in will be necessary) Restart MC_CamIn, with absolute master position and absolute slave position. Choose the StartMode that is appropriate for your machine. Hello, I made this configuration, I'm moving the encoder value to SM_Driver_PosControl.in.wActPosition. When I make the absolute movement of my PosControl axis, my physical drive axis rotates perfectly, but I noticed that the movement is not followed by the encoder. That is, if I hold the encoder and keep it in position 0, the PosControl axis makes the absolute movement of 314 mm and stops, which is strange because the encoder is at 0. Theoretically, the PosControl axis should accelerate to try to compensate for the movement error. I haven't yet achieved perfect functionality.

I want to programmatically write the alias address to a new EtherCAT slave when I plug it into my IPC EtherCAT network. I am looking at the ReadWriteEEprom FB and see that one of the elements is "pbyData". which is the pointer to byte that is usually set to 2048 bytes. Since I am setting the alias address to the EEprom only (EEprom address 16#0012), I would assume that what I am writing is 2 bytes only. Does the pbyData have to be specified as ADR(myArray) where "myArray" is the 2 bytes of the alias address? How is the best way to set this element of the function block? Thanks in advance

Ich bin mir vollkommen im Unklaren: muss da was auf dem Raspberry Pi im Hintergrund laufen , z.B. raspivid . Welcher Programmteil bedient die Cam ? Ich erkenne auch nicht, wo ein einzelnes picture entstehen soll. Wäre dankbar, wenn ich hier etwas Hilfe bekommen könnte. Evtl. gibt es Probleme mit der von mir verwendeten Codesys-Version 3.5.20.1 ? Hello, i am trying to read multiple lines from csv file with caa file library and oscat. I have wrote 7 lines in the csv with separation '$R$L'. In my "extracting values" part I check line feeds and chars. After that I convert my buffer to string with oscat but I'm only able to read the first line from the csv. No matter if I even change start position where I start converting the buffer, I only get the first line. You are right, that you can use the GetState method, but it is not that simple. You first have to get a list of (filtered) alarms from the AlarmManager. You can find an example in Forge how to do this. You can, if you don´t want to store at PlcLogic, add the following line in the CODESYSControl.cfg under [SysFile]: ForceIecFilePath=0 The CodesysControl.cfg is at C:\ProgramData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3x64\xxPROJECT_NUMBERxx\ Here the email they sent me: "with the 3.5.19 Version we changed how files are handled. Hi, We are working to provide our customers with CODESYS operation on our hardware product ( https://elprotech.com/product/el-qe-e-quantum-edge-series/ ). I'm trying to enable a CODESYS license (Soft container) on our product running ARM64 linux. This problem am having looks similar to here: https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Runtime/thread/6d29b6b4de/ and here: https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Runtime/thread/a2d0c63375/; but I am not running docker, and I am not re-installing a license. This is first time install. I have CODESYS Control SL running on my device, as well as CodeMeter. I purchased a license, and installed it to the CODESYS Development system, (Tools >> License Repository) then tried to install to the device (Tools >> License Manager >> o Device >> o Soft container >> Remote [0001] >> OK. This gives me the "License Manager - Overview" dialog, and the message "Licensing info not available. There is no dongle attached to the device." Hallo Edwin, ich bräuchte mal eine schnelle Hilfe. ich testete einen zweiten Raspberry Pi 4 mit meinem Lizenzdongle eines laufenden Raspberry. Der 2. Raspberry ist als Redundanzlösung bei einem Crash gedacht. DIe Schwierigkeiten begannen, als ich mit dem Raspberry 4 V1.5 nicht mehr mit SP16 weiterarbeiten konnte. Ich updatede auf SP20.1. und die Schwerstarbeit begann. Das Image wurde rübergeschoben und alles auf dem zweiten Rechner soweit zum Laufen gebracht. Der Dongle wurde ebenfalls am 2. Rechner eingesteckt. Ob er überhaupt wirkte, kann ich nicht sagen, da für diesen Testfall Codesys so oft rauf und runter gefahren wurde, das die 2h-Grenze kaum erreicht wurde. Problem: Beim Zurückstecken des Dongles in den ursprücnglichen Rechner ist alles an Lizenzen weg. Der Lizenzmanager hat keinen Container mehr und der Befehl "lsusb" bringt nichts zurück. ich war der Meinung, das der Dongle genau für diesen Zweck gedacht war - die Lizenz von einem Rechner zum anderen mitzunehmen. Liege ich da falsch ? Wie komme ich nun wieder zu einem funktionfähigen Dongle ?? Weitere Versuche unternahm ich mit dem Wiederherstellen des Dongels. Dabei steckte ich ihn in meinen PC (Workstation) und siehe da, es werden noch 3 von ehemals (2020) 6 Lizenzzeilen angezeigt: (siehe Bild Problem_Lizenzen_Raspberry.jpg) Dann versuchte ich das Wiederherstellen über eine Lizenzaktualisierungsdatei vom Lizenzserver. Da kommt aber eine Datei mit anderem Dateityp (..WibuCmRaC) als im Lizenzmanager gesucht (WibuCmRaU). Die Datei ist dem Lizenzmanager auch nicht genehm (Bild Problem_Lizenzen_Raspberry_2.jpg). Nun steht Codesys auf besagtem Raspberry alle 2h still. Das soll die Lizenz doch verhindern. Angeblich soll seit SP13 auch kein eigenes Backup mehr nötig sein. Bis zum Erhalt des nicht brauchbaren Linzenzfiles hat da sja geklappt. Ich kann auch im Lizenzmanager keinen Punkt "Lizenz wiederherstellen" finden. Hat sich da mit SP20 etwas geändert? Wenn ich mir eine neue Lizenz hole - wie bringe ich sie auf den Dongle (der ja jetzt nicht "nagelneu" ist). Ich fürchte, das geht auch bloß schief. Im Voraus vielen Dank Thomas

Dear forum, I currently have a big question mark above my head, and maybe this forum can shine some light on the situation. I recently updated to Codesys 3.15 SP19 Patch 6. And now I’m trying to setup the OPC-UA server, besides that I’m trying to connect to the controller with the Codesys V3 (Ethernet) protocol. OPC-UA I have installed the correct licenses on my controller (Runtime and communication). I’m able to connect to the controller with an OPC-UA client, and I’m able to browse the tags, so far so good. Therefore I’m assuming that the OPC-UA server is running on the controller. But now the strange part, in the device security settings I have set the communication Policy to BASCI256SHA256 ( I also have tried the other ones) and the communication mode is set to secure if possible (I also have tried all the other ones) (see picture). With these settings I would assume that I would only be able to login with a Basic256SHA256 policy with a client. But the opposite is true, I am able to login using the no policy mode and when I set it to Basic256SHA256 the client (UA-Expert) notes that this policy is not available on the server. I then check the certificates and I noted that there is no certificate for the OPC-UA server, I tried to generate one but it gave the error that the certificate has not been created by the device (See picture). To summarize I have no clue what is going on, and the controller does the opposite of what I would expect. Codesys Ethernet V3 driver I have a HMI connected to the same controller using the Ethernet V3 driver. But this will not connect. I tried all the Protocols (see picture), with and without the username and password enabled. But it will not connect, when I scan the available servers I can see the controller with the port number that I am expecting, so I’m assuming that the Codesys V3 ethernet driver is up on the controller. Does anyone can give me some direction, because the stuff that I tried doesn’t make sense to me. Thank you in advance
