Thanks for your reply. I belive it is contiguous, I'm writing to adress 0 to 4. Or, do you mean something else? Well, something is happening. If I on the client set adress 1,2,3 to true, only 1 is set to true on the server side. On the client side, the data is array of word. But on the server side, the coils are array of bool. Holding register is array of word on server side. Can this be a problem? Attached screenshot of how it looks at the server side.

Hello I've made an FB which is a TCP server. It uses the excellent CAA NetServices library. If I have the FB in a task <4ms, then the RT crashes immediately at boot up. If the task >=4ms, it starts and runs perfectly. This is even if the block is not doing anything; just instantiated. Am I missing something silly? Why would a low task time cause this? 4ms is perfectly adequate, but I'm just interested why... thanks PH

No errors in any condition. The function terminate correctly with the 'done' bit. Now I leave the machine and I don't know when I will be there again. The assumption you made I had considered. The operational limits of the axis are all fit for purpose, and this function should operate virtually without even noticing the motion limits. In fact in practice with the axis at low speed the function corrects any numerical value of the position in the range 0 ... 360° without any problem whatsoever in a single PLC scan cycle.

This has been moved because of security reasons. But it depends on how you start CODESYS where the project files are located (at least for Control Win from SP20). 1) If you start it through the sys tray icon, you start it as a service and the files will be located in: C:\Windows*System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\CODESYS... (or C:\Windows*SysWOW64**\config...) 2) If you start it as a user, e.g. with a shortcut to the runtime, you can find it in: C:\Users\<your user="" name="">\AppData\Roaming\CODESYS...</your>

gatto, That works. Thanks. Typically I use my mouse more than my keyboard. That's why I was looking for a delete option from the right-click context menu or a delete button on a toolbar at the top. It never occured to me to use the keyboard. It might be a little more user friendly if they allowed a mouse wise ability to remove a line from the grid as well as the DEL key. Just a suggestion. Hello, At work, I use Codesys V3.5 SP10. I wanted to run some tests with the SVN module, which I kept installed (without actually using it in the end). However, when I tried to launch Codesys today, I was informed that a license was missing. I suspect that this is due to the SVN module. Could you tell me how to uninstall it without launching Codesys? (as i cant proprerly start Codesys without the license) Thank you in advance.

I'm having a serious issue with codesys-pro/git, because everytime I load my project I get around 40 unstaged changes with equal objects. If I only commit everything along with my real changes I strugle to locate them later. I've tried creating a new git repository, it didn't work. I've commited everything, it kept appearing. I've tried rolling back everything but it also didn't work. Does anyone know why this happens and how to manage it?

Update: I still have no idea what was causing my issues, but it went away as soon as I identified that another device on the CAN was generating a Sync message at 16#7F. Changing this to be on 16#80 made the problem go away. I have no idea why this solves the problem and would love to hear from anyone who knows why these two things might be related.

Thank you for the suggestion. There is a certificate created in the quarantine directory relating to the URL used for the webclient FB. This certificate should have been valid as it was created only the week before this problem was encountered. I investigated a separate location using the same https URL and it has 2 certificates in the same quarantine directory, 1 is created almost 200 days ago, the other over 100 days ago. There have been no similar problems encountered with these certs or https at all.

To better track project changes in git I created a script that exports the project structure as text files. Textual POUs are stored as text, everything else as XML (with timestamps removed). The file structure is stored under path/to/your.project.txt Git merge will not work, but at least tracking changes is much easier. Hello, Please give any tips regarding stopping Mc_GearInPos block. Please look at attached drawings. When fb MC_GearInPos is started, output "busy" is true - it is ok. But when i want to stop this funkction blok i deactive execute input and i use Mc_stop. Unfortunelly Mc_gearInPos is still busy. It lasts till to synchronize phase. Then i can stop it by Mc_stop. So I cannot stop fb before synchrnization. Can you give any tips how solve this problem. Sometimes I must to switch off before synchro. Best regards Lukasz

I would definitely try using the "Reconfigure" function block from "CAA Device Diagnosis@ library. https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/CAA%20Device%20Diagnosis/3.5.17.0/CAA-Device-Diagnosis/Function-Blocks/Reconfigure/Reconfigure.html#:~:text=This%20function%20block%20reads%20and,take%20effect. Although I have not tried it with Modbus, I had great success with EtherNet/IP, Profinet and EtherCAT. You can also have a look at the other functions in this library. There are useful functions to help iterate through all the nodes under a master node.

Maybe you have the "Devices" tab open(?), but the "templates" are in the POU pool. You can open it from the menu: View - POUs, or if it is already open, select the POUs tab which is normally next to the Devices tab. All objects which are part of a library are in the POU pool, because they should be device independent (at least most of them).

My code uses “$DB,” which in ASCII should render as a solid block. The code works, but to display it in Visualization I had to create multiple rectangles with visibility bound to a BOOL array. That works, but since each BOOL must be exposed as a separate variable, it consumes most of the available monitoring resources. See Attached image.

Device: RPI 3b or 3B+ System: Wheezy Codesys: 3.5.16.2 I got the Log: 2023-12-13T00:38:43Z, 0x00000054, 2,6,11, !!!! Warning: Eventbuffer full for app=<app>Application</app>; an inputevent with the tag <tag>128</tag> has been dropped This log happens aroud 10 times a second. Sometimes the controller stopped working any more. What is the reason for this? I will update this controller soon (I hope so, but in the meantime I should at least know hoe to prevent this issue) Mario

I have a case statement running a process. during one of the steps it has started calling a bool var that is 2 steps further on in the case? i have even tried //commenting it out but it still turns on at the same point in the case. i have also run a trace but cant see anything that would trigger it. Please check the attached snapshot. I am converting an int to real and storing in rVlv01_SV and then scaling the value using LIN_TRAFO. In the bottom Status Bar of Codesys, both RUN and SIMULATION are visible. When I enter value 100 as input to INT_TO_REAL instruction and press Ctrl-F7, the value can be seen at the input but the logic seems not to work. I searched for help but could not find anything relevant. What could be the reason. Codesys ver3.5.11 svn

I found a way to do it: You can use, for example, the text variable property of any visualization element and call a function in it. Example: Write a test POU as a function (FUN), like MyTestFun which need a boolean Variable as an input value. Now write into the text variable property: MyTestFun(bBooleanValue) Thats it. The function is called at each visu_task cycle.

Hey all CODESYS-experts. I'm at a customer site, and we hade a power-failure and one of the devices apparently runs codesys and has crashed. It's an old device (out of warranty) that is bought many years ago. Now this device doesn't seem to boot. Any idea what to do in this case? We have access to the drive so we have access to the files. See screenshots.
