Hello, I am trying to control a servo drive and dynamically set its position. I control the drive via EtherCAT with a cycle time of 500us. I use the MC_MoveAbsolute block for this. The problem is that when using a PID controller, I generate the positions I want the drive to move to on an ongoing basis, and I would like the position to be set immediately. The MC_MoveAbsolute block must receive a rising edge to execute, and I would like the movement to be performed without waiting for this edge. I have created a function that generates a rising edge every 1 ms, but I am unable to change this time to 500 µs because the TON function does not support times shorter than 1 ms. Hello everyone, I am running into a highly frustrating issue in the FBD editor regarding a Function Block with generic constants (VAR_GENERIC CONSTANT). I created a FB using ST, with a generic var, useful for having a variable sized array, as follows: FUNCTION_BLOCK Coil VAR_GENERIC CONSTANT maxEvents: USINT := 5; END_VAR VAR events: ARRAY[0..maxEvents-1] OF IEvent; END_VAR These FBs have also several methods. I declare them as follows in code: VAR coil1: CDL.Coil<(maxEvents:=1)>; END_VAR and when using them in ST, I have no problems. However, when trying to use them in FDB, I do not know how to do that, as some strange misalignment happens. Here's what happens: When I add the block to my FBD canvas and assign coil1 as the instance name, the compiler throws this error: 'coil1' is not an instance of 'CDL.Coil<(maxEvents:=1)>'. Same occurs when I try to instantiate blocks such as 'coil1.turnOn' or similar. Here is what I have already tried, none of which worked: - Deleting the <(maxEvents:=1)> parameter from the text inside the FBD box. - Deleting the block entirely, dropping an "Empty Box", and typing coil1 above it to let the IDE auto-complete and format the block. - Running a full "Clean All" and rebuilding the code. I am aware that I could bypass the graphical editor by calling it in Structured Text. However, I need to keep this logic compatible to FBD. Hi, I wanted to use the Adafruit Hat for the Raspberry and get acquainted with Softmotion using servos for RC models. This did work great with Codesys 3.5.19 Patch 1, but with Patch 4 and 5 i get errors. I suspect changes in the SoftMotion library have broken dependencies in the legacy drivers, might that be true? Hi, We are working to provide our customers with CODESYS operation on our hardware product ( https://elprotech.com/product/el-qe-e-quantum-edge-series/ ). I'm trying to enable a CODESYS license (Soft container) on our product running ARM64 linux. This problem am having looks similar to here: https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Runtime/thread/6d29b6b4de/ and here: https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Runtime/thread/a2d0c63375/; but I am not running docker, and I am not re-installing a license. This is first time install. I have CODESYS Control SL running on my device, as well as CodeMeter. I purchased a license, and installed it to the CODESYS Development system, (Tools >> License Repository) then tried to install to the device (Tools >> License Manager >> o Device >> o Soft container >> Remote [0001] >> OK. This gives me the "License Manager - Overview" dialog, and the message "Licensing info not available. There is no dongle attached to the device." Hi everybody, I've been facing problems with the PDF visualization in Web Browser. I am trying to open a pdf file called 'sample.pdf' which I manually saved inside PlcLogic/visu folder. I am setting the web browser URL as: 'http://127.0.0.1:8080/sample.pdf' but I get 'refused connection'. I got a similar error trying to open https sites and I discovered that I can only open http websites. Opening 'http://de.wikipedia.org' everything works fine. I also tried to check using code whether the sample.pdf is present in the directory. Unfortunately, when I try to read directories of 'PlcLogic' I get file FILE_OPERATION_DENIED (I am using File.DirList). I would like to be able to open PDF files in web browser. Possibly to move new PDF files in the folder as my customer wants to display different pdf manuals on the hmi. Here you find some screenshots and my .project. I am using Codesys 3.5.19.70. Hi, I have been trying to use CryptoGenerateHash from the CmpCrypto Implementation library. My code is taken almost directly from the CryptoDemo.project example provided on Codesys Forge, yet the CryptoGenerateHash function does not write to the address listed in pHash. Hey NicolaG_89, thanks for the tip. But I have seen in the developer tools of the Webclient that a multiple fetching of the image and script data occurs when changing frames (HTTP code 304 NOT Modified), although these are already in the clients cache, which leads to unnecessary loading of resources from the web server. This behavior can also be found if the option “Support client animations and overlay of native elements” is deactivated, but this does not lead to such long delays. I had already tested loading all Visu elements so that everything was fetched once before they could be used. But that didn't help either. To prevent this behavior (permanent fetching), I have used a different way of switching the Visu elements in the VisuDemo Project, which also uses HTML5 control elements. I implemented this with the visibility of entire Visu elements. As a result, it only has to be fetched once and does not have to be fetched again when reloading. But I am still unsure about this implementation if the scope of the visualization becomes larger, as the Codesys visualization documentation advises against using many invisible elements. Hi everyone, is there a way to programmatically clear the cache of the Data Source Manager in CODESYS so that variable values are re-synchronized from the OPC UA server (Symbol Configuration with OPCUA features)? Alternatively, is it possible to trigger a manual synchronization of data source variables from within the application code at runtime? Here’s the situation: A variable is first written by the OPC UA client to the server in one state of a state machine and changes to another state – so the initial communication works. Later, the server changes the variable value, but the client does not receive or reflect the updated value, unless the variable is actively written again. I’m looking for a way to force the client (data source manager) to re-read or refresh the variable state from the server, possibly by clearing the internal cache or triggering a sync. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi, I am trying to create a project using a raspberry pi, I have added the modules for the Pi and MCP3008. I have encountered som errors that I don't know how to track down. 1. The GPIOs give preprocessor errors, but I read that this does not prevent compiling. This seems to be true. I can build the empty project with no errors. 2. After adding a SPI master and MCP3008, the preprocessor errors double, but seem similar and the project again builds with no errors. 3. Hey, I'm pretty new to CoDeSys so I don't know a lot of things yet. I have to create a connection between two devices (CANbus - J1939 connection). The idea for now is to send a message from one to another (one operates on 3.5 SP11 the other one on 2.3) I watched a few videos, worked with the documentation and worked with chatGPT 4o and was able to build the attached file. This part is about the device on 3.5.11: I'm using the J1939LocalECUDiag, TransmitParameterGroup, TransmissionTrigger Function blocks to send the message but my TransmitPG.xBusy / .xDone never turns to True and therefore my message is not sent while TransmitPG.xExcecute is True. I added the two devices in the CANbus in the J1939Manager and addapted the options like I've seen in the documentation. Can anyone explain what's wrong with my code in this casse or give me advices how to properly create a connection between my two devices? Thanks in advance!

Hello, I have written a function block that uses a generic constant for the upper bound of an array. I wanted to have this array in the persistent memory area, thus I constructed my FB as follows: FUNCTION_BLOCK FbWithGenericArrayLength VAR_GENERIC CONSTANT uiArrayLength : UINT := 10; END_VAR VAR PERSISTENT arr : ARRAY[1..uiArrayLength] OF INT; END_VAR In my PLC_PRG I declare an instance of said FB PROGRAM PLC_PRG VAR myFb : FbWithGenericArrayLength<10>; END_VAR This compiles just fine. When I let CODESYS fill my persistent list, it adds duplicate entries {attribute 'qualified_only'} VAR_GLOBAL PERSISTENT RETAIN // Generated instance path of persistent variable PLC_PRG.myFb.arr: ARRAY [1..uiArrayLength] OF INT; // Generated instance path of persistent variable PLC_PRG.myFb.arr: ARRAY [1..uiArrayLength] OF INT; END_VAR so I manually delete the duplicate. When i now compile, I get errors ------ Build started: Application: Device.Sim.Device.Application ------- Typify code... Thanks in advance. Edit: It seems I can manually replace the uiArrayLength in the persisten list by the value 10 I used as the generic constant for this particular instance.
