I know this post is a bit old, but i'm having this same issue: At noon, %t[hh:mm:ss tt] is displaying 00:00:00 PM There is no text variable, just using the default functionality of the visualization for the time display. This is running on an IFM CR1102 display. has anyone solved this?

Hello, we have aproblen to connect our CODESYS OPC Client to the OPC Server. We installed the client according the CODESYS manual. We can browse the server and variables can be linked to the PLC. I created a self signed certificate for the CmpOPCUAClent as described. The server has a cerificate also. I copied the certificates to the trusted zone of server and client. But when it comes to data exchange we get an error message. "Communication error in data source OPC UA Library. Error ID : 7001 German : "Kommunikatinsfehler inder Datenquelle OPC UA -Bibiothek. Es wurde kein genauer Fehler angegeben. Fehler ID : 7001" It semms that there is no cerificate exchange. We are working with CODESYS 3.5 SP19 Patch 5. Can anyone here say something about this error or has an idea for a solution? Thanks.

Hello, I am trying to implement a FB to make JSON formatted WSTRING type message using JSON Utilities 1.9.0.0 included in the IIoT library. In my case, I want to set some objects or arrays and set values to them later. I still have the same problem with Codesys 3.5 SP18. Initially, my project is ~5 Mo. I work on it for like 3-4 days and it goes up to ~10Mo. If I make an export of the project and import it in a new empty project, it goes back to approximately 5 Mo. Why is it doing this ?

If my application does some kind of violation which makes it cast an exception it will trigger my real watchdog which results in a reboot. Unfortunately the log it seems only shows the boot sequence. Is it possible to see what happen before reboot?

Hello, Has anyone tried running CODESYS Linux on Ubuntu Core? I'm having problems installing the runtime. The connection to UC cannot be established. I used the instruction: https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Control/_rtsl_linux_public_key_authentification.html I can connect to UC using SSH (putty, shell). Codesys can't. Do any of you have an idea?

I have now conducted some tests. The problem occurs when the Python script establishes an OPCUA connection, even if I only establish the connection without reading or writing any data. Is there another way to exchange data between Python and CODESYS without having to put in a lot of effort?

Hi All, for my robotics application we are building a 2-axis parallel scara using the kin_bipod_rotary kinematics. Codesys implemented limits of [-90°, 90°] according to the documentation: https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/SM3_Transformation/Current/SM3_Transformation/Function-Blocks/Positioning-Kinematics/Parallel-Systems/Kin_Bipod_Rotary.html Would it be possible to overrule these limits somehow, our mechanical limits are more in the range of [-110°, 135°] In this range we also don't encounter point where singularity is an issue. I'm looking for a smart and short way to implement initialization of visualization variables depending on the visualization input. For an easy example consider a rectangle which rests at XPos := 0 when the input state is false and at XPos := 50 when the input state is true. My visualization variables look like this: VAR_IN_OUT State : BOOL; END_VAR VAR XPos : INT; END_VAR I put this rectangle via a visualization frame element into another visualization and link a frame reference variable with the state to it. If the variable is true, the rectangle should rest at XPos := 50 and false at XPos := 0 at visualization init but how should I assign the 50 or 0 to the internal visualization variable XPos? I would need some init-methode for the visualization but I dont want a global init-method for such tasks. I want to do it inside of the visualization element but I can't see any solution for this? It would be good to be able to define ST-code within the visualization element which runs cyclic at each VISU_TASK task-cycle then I could just check the input state and change the XPos accordingly. Does someone have a solution?

Hi, Is there a process to restore Persistence Manager files? I have backups of persistence variables used in a machine that is currently operating and tuned and all set points adjusted. There are about 500 persistence variables, they are building another identical machine. I would like to use Persistence Manager files from the first machine in the second also. I have tried copying the files and replacing them on the new RPI but then the Persistence Manager gets errors and then they are all reset to 0 etc I have tried adjusting the times to match. Instead of replacing whole file, I tried just changing the contents inside the file, but still does not work. I may be missing something here, but surely there must be a way to load a backup. Thanks!

Hello, I have a robot configured as a Generic Ethernet Module under Ethernet/IP Scanner. I can not see the change of state of the outputs coming from the robot on the codesys side in real-time. (The robot has it's own internal program that would changes the values of remote outputs 0-3 off and on). Also when I send data down to the inputs of the robot it doesn't transfer over as expected. As an example I'll send to the robot's input bit 0 a value of 1. It doesn't see that value change. However, when I write that input bit 0 back to a value of 0, the robot changes state and shows a value of 1. And if I change the state of a different bit, the other bits update properly, except for the bit that I changed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and if anything else is needed let me know.
