The individual structures were declared in a separate global variable list on a trial basis. But even this did not change the behavior. A total of 1667 variables are processed in a recipe. A reduction (e.g. saving only the first three drive parameter sets) also brought no change.

Verbindung erfolgt über einen Raspberry mit Modbus RS485 Adapter, welcher erfolgreich verbunden ist. Mit einem IOBroker kann ich die Daten erfolgreich auslesen. In der Modbus_COM_Port => Modbus_Serial_Device habe ich Input Register 4000 %QW und Startadressen auf Input Register 3000, als Variable ein Array[0..2999] of Word, kann aber keine Werte auslesen.

have a look at UNIONs. With a union you are able to write single bytes to the same adress area which belongs to a float variable at the same time. I like to do a lot of convertions belonging to interfaces and fieldbus in this way, f.eg. word / byte swapping etc.

Hello everyone, I'm using the IoT Library to implement the MQTT communication with my local broker server in order to publish and subscribe at specifics topics to share and consume information about my application. But, it seems that are occurring some memory leak problem in a "high" frequency (more than 10 Hz) subscribe process. I follow the same method as in IoT Lib exemples, and at first looks perfect but my PLC was rebooting frequently and when I check its memory usage that was increasing as fast as the subscribe massage was sent. I'm using a WEG PLC410 and a WEG PLC500, and this error occurred in both of them (including in CODESYS Control Win x64). The application sends to the system a message JSON with the float payload Ex. {"data" : 0.8500}, but this happens with a INT, or BOL as well. I'm using the JSON Utilities SL library to write configurations in my program to a file. I'm generating the JSON data using the builder function block and all appears to work correctly. When I write the jsondata to file, I'm finding that some of the JSON elements are not being written in the right location in the file. Rather than writing they keys under the parent object, they get written outside the root JSON object at the end of the file. If I then try to read the file back into the program, I get an invalid_structure error. I don't get any errors when populating the JSON data or when writing the file. I attached an example of the JSON writer output. The problems begin with key P200. Each P200 should go under MBR1 through MBR3. Among the rest of the keys, they are supposed to be under different parent objects. I am using default values for wsLineBreak and encoding.

Hey guys, I'm very much a noob with networking, it's my achillies heel, and this is my first networking project using Ethernet/IP. Any help offered is GREATLY appreciated. I'm trying to network a Codesys Project with an Omron NX1P2 PLC. I'm using EIP due to hardware restrains. I've added the fieldbus, EIP scanner (as the master), and made a Network Variable List. On the Sysmac Studio end, I've made the variables and set them to network inputs/outputs, registered them in EIP settings, but when I try to set the target device (the Codesys project), I suspect I need to import an EDS file for the EIP mapping. Back in the Codesys project, I'm not sure how to: - Make an EDS file to share with Sysmac Studio - How to link the target device (Omron PLC) to the EIP fieldbus - How to map the inputs from the Omron PLC. Im sorry for my very open request for help, i'm kind of lost looking through the various forums/video/tutorials as many of them dont match what im trying to do. Hi I am trying to use STRUCT to parse commands from Modbus/TCP, Modbus client will fill the bytes related to a specific command (type, parameters), then PLC (Codesys) will access the command parameters. A STRUCT will simplify a lot the process of parsing the data, so I don't need to parse byte per byte, address will be mapped to a struct and I can use it for parsing the data. From what I understood, the compiler does not allow me to specify the location of the struct for a %MW register. VAR_COMMAND AT %MW1002: structGenericModbusCommand; This will throw: Bad declaration, use '%ML' for 'structGenericModbusCommand' variable But If I change it to %ML, when you go online you see that it is actually allocating the struct in another memory address. When we go online, on GVL we can see: VAR_COMMAND. structGenericModbusCommand %ML1002 commandType COMMANDTYPE %MB8016 ... %MB8020 I am not specifying a pointer or a reference it is a struct type, why is it mapping to a %MW location (random one). How can I control where it is mapping to? I need a consistent way to map STRUCT to specific modbus address. Is it possible? Hi mate, With this snippet i was able to see the lastusage variable count, but it would not iterate between clients? i was only able to access the data of the target visu. it threw an error with the array of pointers stating it was not able to convert etc. also when i tried it with the while loop it created an endless loop and crashed the program. any ideas? You have declared the function block in a function and call the instance also from a function. This is not correct, because a function is initialised with every call. The http client function block should be declared as Global Variable if you want to cal it from a Function, but probably it is better to declare it in a Program and also call the instance of the http function block from the same Program.... The variables of a Program are not initialised with each call.

Hi, Learning Codesys CNC, and I am confused by the dwIpoTime parameter. I have a basic demo application, using SMC_Interpolator feeding into SMC_TRAFO_Gantry2Tool2, which then sets the position of the x/y SM_Drive_Virtual axis. I also have a C axis which revolves the tool, which is controlled using a simple tangential angle calculation SMC_CalcDirectionFromVector. The GCode I'm using has feed/accel set at 500. The axis configuration limits are well above that (2000). What's strange is that, when I run the simulation, the feed speed changes drastically when I update the variable dwIpoTime. The larger the number, the faster it moves. What's going on here? The documentation only says "This variable has to be set for each call. It represents the cycle time in μsec." Why does it change the feed speed I'm seeing the in simulation? What is a good number to use? The example I was looking at set it at 5000. Screenshot attached.

I have a J1939 network (ISOBUS) connected to my PLC. I can receive various PGNs such as 65256 (Vehicle Direction/Speed) and 65254 (Time/Date). However, I cannot receive 65267 (Vehicle Position). PGN 65267 (VP) contains SPN 584 (Latitude) and SPN 585 (Longitude). On the network both SPNs return a value of -210 (meaning the CAN message payload is zero in both cases). The conversion settings are the default values and appear to be correct (see attached screenshot). Using a CAN analyser I can see that PGN 65267 (Vehicle Position) is being transmitted over the network with valid (non-zero) data that matches the latitude and longitude coordinates I would expect. I've created a program to read the raw J1939 data and this also returns valid data. It seems that the Codesys J1939 database has a problem with reading PGN 65267 messages. Can anybody else confirm this? I'm using Codesys Version 3.5 SP16 Patch 5.
