I want to extract each element of an Array. Can someone help me with this. When I use JSONElementToString (part of JSON Utilities SL), I am seeing output as "ARRAY" instead of actual data. I want to read and write parameters of an IO-Link device using acyclic messages. I have a Cube67+ in Ethernet/IP, connected to an IO-Link master. In the datasheet, I can find the parameters required for the message (Service, Class, Instance, etc.). I see the function block "Set_attribute_single" in the "EthernetIP Services" library, but I'm not sure how to correctly send the index and sub-index for the IO-Link device. The class in the datasheet is 0x80 for the IO-Link Parameter Object, but it’s not present in the CPIClass enum. Is there another function block more suitable for configuring IO-Link devices? (similar to "iol_call" in PROFINET or what’s used in EtherCAT).

Hello everyone, I am using an IFM CR0303 model PLC, which has a tilt sensor and a pressure sensor connected via CANopen. Both sensors are from the same brand (ATEK). I can read data from the tilt sensor without any issues, but I am unable to read data from the pressure sensor. I have added the EDS file in the PLC configuration and adjusted the node-ID settings. When I check with the PCAN-View application, I can see that the selected PDOs are coming through, but the data is not reaching the Codesys side. What could be the issue, and what can I try to resolve it? Can anyone help me?

Hi! I want to read the codesys version into the project, so I can highlight it in the SCADA system. VAR dwVersion : DWORD; END_VAR SysTarget.SysTargetGetVersion(pulVersion := ADR(dwVersion)); This gives me the value 100859909. I tried to search ths up and found som older post (https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Runtime/thread/a55981ff4d/) that said each 4 bytes reads a number in the version. Example is 50662666 = 16#03050D0A which reads to V3.5.13.10 When I run this code I get the value 100859909, which I cant translate to anything meaningful. I am running it on Codesys V3.5.19.70. Help appreciated!

Dear people, I would like to create a TCP server in my PLC program. The TCP server needs to communicate with an external device. I have been searching the internet and found that the libraries Syssocket or CAA NetBaseSrv are two possible solutions to create a TCP server. From what I have read, CAA NetBaseSrv is more user-friendly to implement than the Syssocket variant. However, I am still struggling to actually implement this library. Foremost is my little knowledge about creating a TCP server and how to read/understand each function block, especially the outputs of some blocks and the types, e.g. server has an output CAA.Handle, but I cannot find the explanation of CAA.Handle. I tried to find a good document that can help me understand how to implement a TCP server, but I could not find it. Thank you in advance, George

But at boot up transmits the Multiturn data position and the Position within one rotation (pulse train) on two different wires. Once the drives are enabled it just uses incremental pulses. Does any one have experience with what IEC blocks to use to read this information in. I attached the Yaskawa Manual section that talks about the format.

According to the documentation: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT956_Modbus You need to create a Channel to read 2 registers from address 143 to get the lattitude. It doesn't specify if you need to read it as a Holding Register or as an Input Register. You could try both. So in the Teltonika router, you need to enable it as being a Modbus Server. Then in CODESYS add an Ethernet Adapter, then a Modbus Client (Master) and to the Client (Master) add the Modbus Server (Slave). Set the IP address and add the Channel. The please consider that CODESYS doesn't update any variables when they are not used in the application. In the I/O mapping tab of your I/O configuration, you can set the "Always update" to enabled.

I swear I tested this like 20 times yesterday without success. Repeated it today and it works. Maybe the system needed a "real" power reboot? To note. To make a manual edit of a variable I tried some different approaches this is what worked for me. "system/online edited" gvl_var.example_variable REAL:F16#2FFB334H-4 767.7 "manually edited" (with runtime stopped followed by a "cold start" to read from file) gvl_var.example_variable REAL:790.1 (the system will use the manual value but will not set an equivalent "hex" value until next online edit/write cycle)

Hallo, ich weiß nicht ob ich hier richtig bin und ob es überhaupt möglich ist ... Ich suche eine Möglichkeit ein Profinet Device mit Record Read und Write anzusprechen. Eigentlich brauche ich nur sehr wenige Kommandos um unser Device zu konfigurieren. Das bedeutet setzen der MAC Adresse und einer Seriennummer. Das würden wir gern aus einem C# Programm herus machen. Nun sind wir auf der Suche nach einer Bibliothek o.ä. . Da man es ja auch aus Codesys heraus machen, dachte ich mir, gibt es eventuell eine DLL o.ä. die man dafür nutzen könnte. Wie gesagt wir wollen keine Realtime Abfragen der zyklischen Daten sondern lediglich Record read/write. Hat da jemand einen helfenden Hinweis ? Schon mal vielen Dank im Voraus

Hi, I don't know if I'm in the right place or if it's even possible... I'm looking for a way to address a Profinet device with Record Read and Write from my own PC. I actually only need very few commands to configure our device. This means setting the MAC address and a serial number. We would like to do this from a C# program. Now we are looking for a library or something similar. Since you can do it from Codesys, I thought there might be a DLL or something similar that you could use for this. As I said, we don't want real-time queries of the cyclic data but only record read/write. Does anyone have any helpful hint? Thanks in advance

Help wanted This is the first time i'm doing a Modbus Tcp project. I have some VLT with a extension module MCA-122. i'm currently unable to write to the VLT slave, but i can read from status word parameter=1603 and address := 16029 where the address is calculated from parameter is ((id x 10)-1). in the manual the functions that are supported are 3 hex, 6 hex, 10 hex, b hex and 11 hex. read holdin registers, write single register, write multiple registers, get comm. event counter, report slave id. i'm only using the Modbus Slave Channel is this wrong when trying to write to the vlt ?

Thank you very much for the quick answer! The RPi hw were delivered last week so it's probably a resent version. I found an old scrapped board (2 years or so) with a broken GPIO that I tested with the same SD card image and with that board Codeys can run for the full 2h demo period without issues. Then I went back the the new board to test the 4.17.0.0 release but the installation fails... Hi all, I'm looking for help with an issue I've come across while trying to facilitate Modbus communication between a WAGO PFC200 PLC using a 750-652 communication module and an iEM2050 Series Single Phase Energy Meter. I believe to have everything wired and setup correcty, but I keep running into a "Error time out" message, and by now I don't really know what else to try. My setup is as follows: A PFC200 Wago PLC, which has 2 750-652 Serial Interfaces extension modules connected to its field bus. I'm using one of these to talk to a Schneider iEM2050 - kWh-meter over modbus. I have connected terminal 23 (A) of the iEM2050 to connector 6 (A) on the 750-652. I have connected terminal 24 (B) of the iEM2050 to connector 2 (B) of the 750-652. I'm using 200mm of twisted together wires to connected them both, and I have placed a 120 ohm resistor between A and B at both ends. I've attached relevant pinout images to this post. I then wrote a simple program that configures the Mobus port, as per the datasheet of the iEM2050. You can find an image of the relavent page attached to this post too. This seems to be a bug, as described here. However, the TON solved that particular issue. I tried reading multiple registers, but like I said, I still always end up with the "Error time out". Get a different sensor that is 0-10V and 0-350 Bar. There is nothing you can reasonably do to boost the range of the sensor, and the PLC will only ever be 0-10V. Take away is to always be careful to match the sensor and PLC input ranges in the future.

I know this post is a bit old, but i'm having this same issue: At noon, %t[hh:mm:ss tt] is displaying 00:00:00 PM There is no text variable, just using the default functionality of the visualization for the time display. This is running on an IFM CR1102 display. has anyone solved this?

Hi, I realized that if I replug the power supply the persistent variables lost their value with the new software too. Cold reset do not affect the variables value but hardware reboot still reset the values. Application Composer can't be activated. What is the solution?

Sorry, wrong expression. You have a 64bit system, so do I. You can also use the 64bit runtime, but most bib and commands are 32bit and are not properly supported. I had read somewhere that there are problems with I2C. That's why I recommend switching to PI_SL and using the correct gpio.
