Hallo! Have some any idea to transfer whole GVL to Shared Memory? I also shared REATIN memory to shraed meory for making a Retain Backup System without USP in Linux on a FRAM. For an other Application we want to shared the whole GVL off obne part (e.g. GVL_Test). How cvan I get easy the Size and the Address for meory copy?

Sometimes you just need to pose a question on a forum and re-read it to get clarity. pGeoInfo := SMC_GetObj(poq:=ADR(fbCncInterpreter.poqDataOut), n:=1); This won't work, I'm providing a pointer to a pointer, as poqDataOut is already a pointer! I just need to remove the ADR() and it works. pGeoInfo := SMC_GetObj(poq:=fbCncInterpreter.poqDataOut, n:=1);

I am using Codesys SP20 patch 5 and in a visualization element, the "Color variables" section does not have a section to set up dynamic color values linked to variables. In a previous version (SP18), I get the option to add variables for Normal & Alarm state colors. Does anyone know how to get the dynamic color variables to work?

you need to set the increments to 10 (the screenshot shows 10000 hex = 65536). all the turn settings to 1. and the application units to 366. But usually you use the resolver resolution per motor turn. Insert the gear ratios (1:1 for no gear) and the last field you put the circumference of your drive wheel.

Hi All, I finally figured out how to solve it. The only away that I got it to work was to define parity to None on modbus configuration, and now works like a charm. Just for the record I'm using the GPIO port pins (8,10) and a RS485 to ttl shield that you can find online. Thanks all for the support! Regards Ricardo

I am trying to create an icon on an overview screen that depicts if an alarm group has active alarms, active acknowledged alarms, or inactive unacknowledged alarms (waiting for confirmation). I've attempted to set up Notification Actions in the Alarm Class to set variables based on state changes but have been unable to find a clean and effective way to do this. Because an action on any alarm will trigger the variable to be set as instructed, I'm struggling to find a way to configure it for what I need (ie if two alarms activate, then one deactivates, the variable for indicating an alarm is active would be cleared after the single deactivation). I've been pointed toward the Alarm Manager example project but I'm finding it too complicated to understand how to implement it in my own project. Has anyone come up with another good way to indicate the states of alarms or a simpler usage of the Alarm Manager functions?

Yeah that is odd - sometimes you have to do what you have to do unfortunately. Have you tried sending consecutive bits in the word instead - ie. instead of [0].0. [1].0, [2].0 etc, send [0].0,[0].1, [0].2 etc. ?

Hi, unfortunately, in Softmotion you have only access to the combined fraction - the scaling factor from user units to motor increments. It can be accessed using MC_ReadParameter with parameter number 1054. increments = user_unit_position * fScaleFactor

sorry I missed to say how to do this just update the runtime. (extract latest debian package out of the CODESYS package) but 8n this case an update all to the latest version including CODESYS is probably the easiest option now.

SP16 Path9 ...I want open with my version 3.5 SP19 Patch 4...I can´t update the my last version of master ethercat(4.4.0.0) and is not possible. My situation is not the comment tell you ...my situation is impossible upadte new version of master ehtercat if you create the project with older version. Have you got a idea? Can you help me please?

To do this, the device must be updated accordingly and the copilers and library versions must be adapted. Verify that the OPC UA server is running and accessible. -You can try to connect to the OPC UA server using a separate client, such as UAExpert, to ensure that the issue is not related to the OPC UA server itself. Test the security settings in the OPC UA connection function block to ensure that the correct security policy and certificate are selected. If you are using a dynamic connection to the OPC UA server, probe that the connection settings are correctly configured and that the OPC UA client is able to establish a connection to the OPC UA server. Also, please loock into the log files for any errors related to the OPC UA connection function block, these should be listet there. The log files may also provide additional information about the issue and help you to further troubleshoot the problem.
