Update: I still have no idea what was causing my issues, but it went away as soon as I identified that another device on the CAN was generating a Sync message at 16#7F. Changing this to be on 16#80 made the problem go away. I have no idea why this solves the problem and would love to hear from anyone who knows why these two things might be related.

Hi, I try to install the Codesys realtime in a Raspberry PI 3B+. When I click on the installation button I get always the message No connection to device: An established connection was aborted by the server. Raspberry 3B+ with newest raspberry PI OS. Codesys 3.5.15 Patch 1 Codesys Runtime Package 3.5.16.20 SSH is activated. I can login with Putty Ping is possible IP address search is possible Just the installation is not started.

Hello, I have an EtherNet IP adapter (GoPxL) running with a virtual PLC. I have successfully connected the adapter with green icons next to it. On WireShark I can see the data coming from GoPxL but on CODESYS it shows up as all 0. My firewall is turned off and I have enabled the device to always update variables. I tested my set up with Profinet and I can receive the data. Please let me know if you have any suggestions!

Maybe you have the "Devices" tab open(?), but the "templates" are in the POU pool. You can open it from the menu: View - POUs, or if it is already open, select the POUs tab which is normally next to the Devices tab. All objects which are part of a library are in the POU pool, because they should be device independent (at least most of them).

yes and no ... if you run the license server on the host (to serve licenses to the docker instances / vplcs then there is no runtime which could check the licenses on the host. Therefore you need the CODESYS WBM to activate or check the licenes or you could use in CODESYS IDE the licensemanager ( not the one for the device licenses) but you have the the IP of the license server that he know where to search for the licenses ..tool options i guess to add it, will add a screenshot later.

Warning: Eventbuffer full for app=<app>Application</app>; an inputevent with the tag <tag>128</tag> has been dropped This log happens aroud 10 times a second. Sometimes the controller stopped working any more. What is the reason for this? I will update this controller soon (I hope so, but in the meantime I should at least know hoe to prevent this issue) Mario

Good morning, mecke96. Exactly the same thing happens to me, although I have not done the part of executing a .py file. It only reads the temperature and the counter, but the other values are zero as in your image "no readings". I have tested the MPU6050 device on an Arduino and it works. Could you tell me if you solved it?

Do you think it is something in this library, that makes it possible to do the configuration in a PRG? https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/IODrvEtherCATDriver/Current/IoDrvEtherCAT.html#id1 I think the codesys modbus libraries support configuration and connection to modbus slaves without having to add the slave devices in the device tree. Just do it from function blocks inside the program. I was hoping for something similar with EtherCAT.

I am not sure if IAlarm.GetState (METH) can be used for this purpose. Hello, I'm asking for help with installing the license server for Linux SL 4.18.0.0. When I try to install it, I get a message that the WIBUCodeMeter package is missing. I checked the package manager tab to see if the package is installed, and it is - Codemeter 8.40.7120.501. I've checked the CodeMeter Runtime on the target machine, and everything seems to be working fine. One thing caught my eye: the Device Architecture tab says "None" Please help me solve this problem.

Didn't help. I'm just trying to understand why the errors occur. Are they from the poor driver or from the Linux network stack. That's why I wanted to know how the rxerros and lostframes are counted. Because in other places (like ethtool info) there are no any issues. And the Ethercat device works fine. And it also strange that on the second ethernet port with a different HW and driver Ethercat works better, but still time to time gets such errors.

Have the same issue: I'm making a test setup for modbus devices testing and calibration. One is run for every possible address, and it starts with minimal request: if the device is found, it continue to work with it, otherwise it's set to Disabled temporary. Those state machines are running under FOR cycle, and disabled are just skipped. Every instance have its own timer for not running too frequently and a start delay, so the actual requests are separate in time. I also check not for a single error, but have some timer to allow one-two timeouts. The small program disables and re-enables devices temporary (manually, since i could not iterate over MB devices). This is a consequence of how computers store floating point numbers. 0.1 cannot be exactly represented in a computer. This is not a CoDeSys thing. Here is a link to a converter to show you the exact value that is represented when you use a REAL data type (which is a 32 bit float). https://baseconvert.com/ieee-754-floating-point If you really need to keep track of 0.1 increments. use INT OR DINT and then add 1 each time and assume that there is one decimal place.

Externally (outside the Codesys environment), the hotkey call for the context menu (Shift+F10) from the keyboard works in various environments, but at the same time, in Codesys it does not (it doesn't work). I have already tried various options on my own to achieve this (but unsuccessfully): Tools\Customize\Keyboard\Objects (the set combination does not give the desired result) Tools\Customize\Keyboard\Objects... (the set combination is extremely useful as it provides access to adding objects directly to Devices but does not provide the ability to add an internal object (Method/Property) to a Function Block). Additional note: When doing all additions to a JSON array one after another without additions outside the array inbetween (and no more additions to the array after an item outside the array has been added) - which is not a viable solution for us as we might add items to any of the arrays at any time, but we tested regardless to be thorough - we get the following result: { "id": "machine_1", "readings": [ { "temp_mid": 153.8 }, { "temp_mid": 98.3 } ], "status": "RUNNING" } This mostly matches our expected outcome, aside from the JSONByteArrayWriter not adding indenting before closing square brackets ("]") at all. That doesn't matter for JSON of course, as it's not sensitive to indenting, but it's still a bug regardless. Also, it adds an unnecessary newline between items in the array (at least when having an array of objects, we haven't tested with arrays of primitives). I also want to reiterate that this is not a viable workaround for the issue for us - we have to be able to add to any array at any time, which should be possible according to the docs, and we are 100% sure indexes are correctly being managed and built up by the JSONBuilder and our wrapper (to track the index of each array & the latest item added to each exactly to make use of the documented possibility to add anything anywhere in the JSON at any time as long as you keep track of the returned indexes) around it.

Yep sure, though now that i think of it, its a pi 4. My bad. The whole ordeal was necessary to use the VGA666 adapter. That needs the old graphical system and GPIO directly on the CPU. Edit: Putty on the virtual development machine connects fine. But i did change the login/pw. The account is still a sudo'er so that should be all right. Edit2: Sorry i get a "Comment rate limit exceeded" from the forum. Then i'll add it as edit here. So i have tried the stock raspberry pi image on a different pi5 (truly 5 this time). Packages updated. Standard password. Same symptoms, no runtime deployed and long hang time. It seems that running CODESYS virtualized somehow messes with the deployment?

The individual structures were declared in a separate global variable list on a trial basis. But even this did not change the behavior. A total of 1667 variables are processed in a recipe. A reduction (e.g. saving only the first three drive parameter sets) also brought no change.

I want to pass the FB for an AXIS_REF_ETC_SoE_Standard to the visualization and display live axis data in the visualization.
