Next I added SMS_Service_SL 1.0.0.8 version library and I have problem with compile my project because I get error: [ERROR] PiXtend_DemoProject_q: Library Manager [Device: PLC Logic: Application]: Could not open library '#CAADTUtil'. (Reason: The placeholder library 'CAADTUtil' could not be resolved.) Any have idea what can I do to properly add SMS library to my project?

I'm getting closer to the error. The combination of STRUCT and ARRAY probably causes the strange behavior. As soon as the ARRAY is followed by a variable, the problem arises. Examples: X: ARRAY[1..2] OF INT; // okay Y: ARRAY[1..2] OF STRUCT; // problem Z: STRUCT; Z.ArrayOfInt[1]; // okay Z.ArrayOfStruct[1].Variable // problem // *update - array of array also causes the error A: ARRAY[1..2] OF ARRAY[1..4] OF BOOL; // problem I can't be the only one who has this problem. Hallo, bedingt durch einen Rechnerwechsel musste ich verschiedene Codesys-Versionen wieder neu installieren, bzw. habe mit dem Codesys-Installer beim Setup einer neuen Version Add-ons einer bestehenden Installation importiert. Nun möchte ich ein bestehendes Projekt, welches auf einem Zielgerät mit recht alter Runtime läuft öffnen, dabei kommt der error "C0510: The configured compilerversion '3.5.8.0' is not available in your installation". Auf dem alten Rechner wurde mit CODESYS V3.5 SP18 Patch 4 eben mit der Compilerversion 3.5.8.0 übersetzt, beim Erstellen des Projektarchives geht jedoch der Compiler nicht mit und so kommt es auf dem neuen Rechner mit der Installation V3.5 SP18 Patch 4 zu diesem error. Übersetze ich das Projekt mit dem aktuellen Compiler, kommt eine ganze Latte an Fehlermeldungen. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit die Compilerversion 3.5.8.0 in die Installation 3.5.18.4 zu bekommen? Hi, I tried posting in the discussion for the HTTP Client example but perhaps that is not monitored? I have been using http client successfully for approximately 12 months, however in recent weeks I have begun to get TCP_INIT_ERROR when attempting to communicate. The only resolution seems to be power cycling and then the connection begins to work again for a time. I am not aware of any changes to code or libraries between working ok and now. Cold reset does not resolve, only power cycle. It seems the error from NBS.TCP_Client is 6002 which I think is invalid_addr However the address is the same when working and not working?

I have a project in which there is a Safety device in CANopen, and the PLC interfaces with it as Master. I would like to understand if it is possible to set the behavior in case one of the SRDOs that I receive from the slave is no longer received. From what I have seen, if the SRDOs are not received, the CANopen safety status becomes "Not in progress" and the mapped variables freeze at the last value detected. I want to understand if it was possible to set the variables connected to the SRDOs to take a default value (e.g. zero) in the event of a CANOpen error during reception.

Raspberry Pi CM4 after some 1 week of work was hard reset mannualy several times and after these hard resets User Management file was missed (when click login button, enter login/password, error: User Management File missed). Also programm can not open file via SysFile library, but this file exists and size of him is 0 bytes, but must be more any way (I keep some kind of archive via this lib). What happens, how files corrupted? Where do I need try to find this error of the codesys or system whole? In the log files of codesys nothing interesting about this happens. Thanks for reading Is this enough hold PlcLogic and SysFileMap.cfg as reserve copy in another place for restoring the programm? And how automate restoring actions if programm files corrupted?

I am trying to add a Softmotion license to my Weintek HMI. The HMI is already licensed for Codesys and I have already purchased a Softmotion license as well. When using the License Manager I get an error saying the licensing info is not available. I am fairly new to working with Codesys so I am at a bit of a loss and there seems very little information online about troubleshooting this specific issue. I have attached the error message below. If there are any ideas of how to troubleshoot this better I would be happy to hear them.

I'm trying to export my whole project through the option ExportPLCopenXML. It seems working, but when I'm trying to import the xml I have the following error during the importation process: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. It seems a usual issue with this process that affects to the pointer to user classes inside a procedure. I receive this error for two general functions that have this pointer declarations in the VAR_INPUT section. It seems a bug into the export/import process of CodeSYS and I couldn't skip it so far. Hello, I am having trouble figuring out the proper location for my virtual runtime to create a .CSV file. No matter the file location I set, I get error 14 (CANNOT_OPEN_DIRECTORY). I have tried multiple different file paths ('/', '/var/opt/codesysvcontrol/PlcLogic', '/var/opt/codesys/'). I understand that there is only certain places that Codesys can read/write. I am also running this virtual runtime in a Podman container. Does anyone know what the location should be? I attached the archive I was using, a project that tests CSV capability that I borrowed from someone else. Thanks!

Hello, I'm trying to use the Web Client SL library, I installed it in the IDE (did not purchase a license yet, as this is still a proof of concept so demo mode is good enough) and added it to the library manager. However, when trying to define a FB of the type WebClient I get a "Identifier 'WebClient' not defined" error message, setting the type to Web_Client_SL.WebClient did not work as well. Opening the example project the FBs defined there give the same error message. From the problem in the example project I deduce this is not a syntax problem, so maybe a license problem, but there should be a working demo mode, so what am I missing? When I created a new project in CODESYS using the "Standard Project" template and then added a Visualization, I was receiving the C0138 error during compilation. This issue persisted even with a new, completely empty project. A Quick and Effective Solution (My Method): After many attempts, I solved the problem as follows: From the File -> New Project menu, I selected the "HMI Project" template directly, instead of the "Standard Project" template. After creating the project with this template, I added my POUs, Tasks, and programs (e.g., Ladder, ST). Using this method, the project compiled successfully without any errors. So, my question is: are there any other solutions besides this method?

In the past, we have routinely used the "add all instance paths" function to automatically add variables to VAR_CONFIG lists. My recollection is that compiling a project did not require VAR_CONFIG to be fully populated, and, once successfully compiled, instance paths could be added. Errors related to missing declarations, if I recall correctly, were thrown when downloading to the PLC, they did not prevent a successful compile. At some point, it stopped working. Missing declarations in a VAR_CONFIG now cause a compile error, so the application is never "current", the only reason I can see being the missing VAR_CONFIG declarations themselves (no other error). We observe the same behavior across all our projects. This is really aggravating, and I must be missing something simple. We use 3.5 SP17p3, 64 bits. Can anyone help?

you need to get the addons that the person that programmed it used. I always store an .installation-config file alongside the project. If you have lost that, then it gets a bit of a headache: I think even with SP18 you can hit yes to open it anyway, and it will suggest which addons it thinks are missing, if you double click the yellow "missing-addons" in the status bar. If you know you have the right addons, you can do a "Save As.." and it will write your current addon list to the file, and you wont get the error next time.

I am also having this issue. It was working fine for the first 2ish months and is now throwing this error. I can just try and go online again a second time and it works. I'm wondering if there is an environmental variable or something that isn't set that is causing it to use an empty path as a temp directory. The empty path will be the location the app is running from which is that path C:\Program Files\CODESYS 3.5.19.50\CODESYS\Common. The permissions don't allow a normal user to write to that directory which causes the error. It also only seems to happen when there are changes or the build has been cleaned.
