I detect a Bug of Codesys....NO WORK AUTOMATICALLY RESTARSLAVES. I explain the secuence: I have click in my project the option AUTOMATICALLY RESTARSLAVES In the moment start my Ipc, the network ethercat start correctly I disconnect the wire of my first slave and later connect again the wire..(see the screen Bug Codesys restart slave1) NO work the restart automatic slaves...and is not possible execute of FB MC_REset beacuause appear this error (see the screen Bug Codesys restart slave2) The only way for resolver this problem is execute the FB SMC3ReinitDrive I replay the same with PLC BECKHOFF in Twincat3 and I havent this problem...In the moment connect the wire again in the slave the comunication of ehterCat restart and the slave comunication again with out problem

Dear All, I am using CODESYS 3.5.19 SP4 with a PLC device. When I try to download my program to the device, I get the error: "The application 'Application' does not exist on the device". Additionally, after restarting the device, the program does not run automatically. When I connect to the device using WinSCP, I can see that the application.app file is uploaded to the root directory, but the device does not automatically start the application. I tried using the Create Boot Application option, but it does not resolve the issue. Is there another configuration step I am missing? How can I fix this problem? Thank you, Best regards,

Hi, When trying to activate a control Basic L license on a Wago PFC200 750-8203 the error The selected container ... does not fit your ticket comes up and won't allow licensing. I have deleted the /var/opt/codesys/cmact_license/ content 3 times and the container number changed each time after a reboot, but the problem persists. Not a happy first time experience with those weird application based licenses. IDE is 19.20. This was a e!Cockpit FW22 PLC and I used Deploy Control SL to make the green web interface red. WBM shows Codesys 2 and e!Runtime active which is a bit weird. What do I do now? Regards Heinz

Problem Solved The Problem was within the Usermanagment. There should be 6 files for the Usermanagment in /var/opt/codesys/ .UserMgmtDB.csv .UserMgmRightstDB.csv .GroupDatabase.csv .UserDatabase.csv_ .GroupDatabase.csv_ .UserDatabase.csv The file .UserMgmtDB.csv was missing. I moved the other files in a savefolder. Full Step by step instructions stop the runtime with sudo /etc/init.d/codesyscontrol stop rename the following files on the PI: (or save them and then delete them) in this directory: /var/opt/codesys/ .UserMgmtDB.csv .UserMgmRightstDB.csv .GroupDatabase.csv .UserDatabase.csv_ .GroupDatabase.csv_ .UserDatabase.csv then restart the Runtime: sudo /etc/init.d/codesyscontrol start now reconnect the PLC via the Automation Server - here you will be asked to create a new CODESYS user password, The user management files deleted above are then created again (in /var/opt/codesys/ on the PI).

Hello, I have developed a Python script that I run to import XML files into my project. For this, I use the Python function import_xml(). Everything was working fine when I was using Codesys platform plugins version 2.6.1.2320, but since I upgraded to versions 2.7 and even 2.8, some files are no longer imported correctly. After some research, I identified that all the files containing variables of the type "POINTER TO" are affected. I have attached a screenshot of the error I am encountering. Do you know about this bug? Do you plan to fix it?

Just downloaded stand alone setup, deleted old installer and installed new. Looked up at the installation log - MSI (c) (48:E0) [19:33:49:483]: Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: CODESYS Installer. Product Version: 2.4.0.3545. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: CODESYS GmbH. Installation success or error status: 0. Installer still not running EDIT: It's working. Somehow my Windows Event Log service was disabled. I restarted the service and everything is working fine right now. Click the Start Menu or (Windows key + R) Type services.msc into the search field (Enter) Open the Services app Find a service you want to disable/enable (Windows Event Log), and double click Click Start

Hello all, I would like to create a simple which runs directly on Control WinV3 x64 3.5.21.0 For this purpose I created a simple dll myAdder.dll in Cpp // MyAdder.cpp // cl /LD /EHsc MyAdder.cpp /Fe:MyAdder.dll #include <windows.h> extern "C" __declspec(dllexport) int __cdecl CmpMyAdder_Add(int a, int b) { return a + b; } I added the dll in the respective folder. Furthermore I "registred" the dll in the CODESYSControl.cfg. However, when I want to use the library I get the error message: Uresolved reference: *'CMPMYADDERADD' * Can you give me a hint what step I missed or where I need to declare the dll, such that the dll resp. the reference can be resolved. Hello everyone, I'm currently using CODESYS v3.5 SP10 on Windows 11, and I've noticed that syntax errors are not automatically underlined in red as they normally should be. Is there a specific setting that needs to be enabled for this feature to work? If so, could you please let me know where to find it? I’ve already tried uninstalling and reinstalling CODESYS, but that didn’t resolve the issue. Also, i have a teammate who have exactly the same computer as me and he didnt encounter any issue. I don't seem to be able to use an axis, which is part of an Axis Group in torque control mode. I call the SMC_SetControllerMode FB to switch from position to torque control mode, followed by the SMC_SetTorque FB to set the desired torque. This works flawlessly for most axes, however if an axis is part of an axis group, switching the controller mode seems to work without any issues, but the desired torque is never set. SMC_SetTorque does not return an error, but fSetTorque of the axis is never changed. Disabling the axis group before does not change anything, but if I use MC_UngroupAllAxes before changing the controller mode, it all works as it should. Is there no way to control a single axis in torque control, if it is part of an axis group?

I have a test application and use Codesys Control for Rasp Pi SL. I made a mistake and updated device from MSL to MC SL, and now if I try to go online with archived version of the project I gett error message that IDs are different between project device and target device. Of course, I can go online if I changed device in the project from SL to MC SL, but I'm not sure that is correct. So I have two questions: 1. What is the actual difference between MC SL device and standard SL device when it comes to raspberry pi 4? 2. What change I need to do on raspberry pi4 side to change device back from MC SL to SL? I'm beta-testing a new EtherCAT drive for a rotary (modulo) axis in a system where the encoder resolution is 81920000 counts per rotation. If I enter this in the SoftMotion Scaling/Mapping tab for "increments <=> motor turns", I get the error below on the Commissioning tab. Is SM unable to handle a high-resolution encoder? The bus cycle is currently set to the default of 4 msec (Control Win V3 x64), although I plan to reduce that to reduce latency, possibly by switching to the realtime (RT) master. Is SoftMotion incompatible with high-resolution encoders? SMC_CGR_INVALID_POSPERIOD Invalid modulo period (<= 0 or greater than half the bus bandwidth)

Follow up question: in the Project Settings, under Library Development, there is an option related to this: Check all Pool Objects -> Pointer size to use Options are: * 32 Bit * 64 Bit * 32 and 64 Bit The descriptions and online help suggest to me this is only relevant for checking and showing any incorrect pointer types as an error in the IDE. E.g. using a DWORD to store a pointer value on a 64-bit controller. It would not control the creation of either 32-bit or 64-bit compiled libraries. Is that correct?

If I logout and repeat login a new entry is set. My system is a "Control for linux SL" running on a debian linux host. Im running it on my desk without any IO attached so message might be caused from that, but I doubt i have seen it before. Rebooting makes no difference. Anyone that have a clue of how I should interpret this error message?

I have default arguments specified for function block methods but when calling a method, an error is produced requiring me to supply all the arguments despite there being default values. According to the online documentation, under section "Calling a Method" and subsection "argument passing" of the following link: https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Development%20System/_cds_obj_method.html "Passing an argument for an input ... can be omitted ... for which a default or initial value was specified in the declaration..." I have found this to be the case for all Codesys IDEs I've used, 3.5.11, 3.5.16, 3.5.17, 3.5.19. Am I missing something?

We have several old project written with 3.5.17 and 3.5.18 and also some older Until now when a customer ordered a product from us. We just installed (we have a tested image) and added a license Now the license policy has changed and we have to buy a License Control Basic S or M However it only works with CODESYS Development System Version 3.5.19.10 or higher Does that mean we have to upgrade all our old products? That is not a simple task as a previous post has explained with weird error messages from CODESYS V3.5. Next we have to do rigorous testing of our applications afterwards. It is very expensive

i have a problem with Profinet on my project. I'm using Codesys RTE 3.5.19.50. When i download program to controller the ethernet is ok, PN_Controller is ok but every device i'm trying to connect is red with error "DCP no RealStationName". When i'm trying to Scan for Devices on PN_Controller there are no devices found. I have installed Codesys driver CmpEt1000Drv to my network adapter (i'm sure it is right intel pro 1000 model). I have noticed that when i installed codesys driver i'm no longer able to ping this network adapter (i can ping it when intel driver is installed). On my previous projects with runetimes i can ping it even with codesys driver installed. I have also tried to do downgrade of everything to version 3.5.19.20 and it not helped.

Hello. In Codesys version 3.5.19.50 when comparing two projects that have an "Alarm Configuration" obj from the Alarm Manager library vers. 4.5.0.0 the attached error pops up. This originally happened with two projects that I converted from vers. 3.5.17.30 so, thinking it was some conversion issue, I created two clean projects directly in 3.5.19.50 using the Standard Project template and only added the Alarm Configuration objects in them. The result is the same and the only way I found that allowed me to compare them is by deleting the incriminated object in one of the two projects. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Best regards

Hi It looks like in the new ladder there is no way to remove unused FB call parameters or update the function block? It's quite often where you have a function block with multiple uses and not all the parameters are required. Need the ability to leave an input/output blank without getting an compile error Expression expected instead of '' Also double clicking on the FB no longer opens the underlying FB code and view what it was doing online. Dragging and dropping a variable does not work, only using the selection works. Will these be available in the V1.0 release or just best to stick to the old ladder until it's available? Thanks

Try using an Ethernet/IP scanner instead of an adapter, I'm guessing the 2 devices you're trying to communicate with are adapters, you have to have a scanner somewhere and Codesys should be a scanner. I don't know why you're getting the error, you should be able to use your Ethernet port as an EthernetIP adapter (although I've never had a reason to try,) but it's probably not what you wanted to do, unless you're connecting to another PLC that is a scanner. Good luck configuring the devices you're trying to connect to, it will be a lot easier if you have an .EDS file instead of starting with a generic module, even with an .EDS it can be tricky getting the communication working.
