Hi, I have an issue with a function which sends a message through API Rest. I'm using a function from httpCLient library. I have tested this function inside a program and it works fine. But when I want to use it inside a function (so I can call it simultaneously from 2 different points on the main program) it gives a stack overflow error. In detail it says: "C0297 Stack Overflow on Main Task. Stack sizes... Call hierarchy:" I have simplified as much as I can the function, but I'm hitting a wall with this. Anybody has an idea of what's wrong? Thanks!

Hello, I am trying to get TargetVisu for Linux working but i am having some troubles. The problem is that after installation it is not starting automatically on boot and i cannot start it from the update Targetvisu tool. When i try i get the following error (see attached screenshot) The file /opt/codesysvisualization/scripts/codesysvisualization_start.sh is missing... Steps performed: - installed fresh Debian 12.7 on virtual machine - installed all required libraries as described here: https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Control/_rtsl_target_visu_for_linux.html - then installed the TargetVisu for Linux SL 4.13.0.0 using the Codesys IDE Does someone know how i can fix this? Dear All, I am using CODESYS 3.5.19 SP4 with a PLC device. When I try to download my program to the device, I get the error: "The application 'Application' does not exist on the device". Additionally, after restarting the device, the program does not run automatically. When I connect to the device using WinSCP, I can see that the application.app file is uploaded to the root directory, but the device does not automatically start the application. I tried using the Create Boot Application option, but it does not resolve the issue. Is there another configuration step I am missing? How can I fix this problem? Thank you, Best regards,

Problem Solved The Problem was within the Usermanagment. There should be 6 files for the Usermanagment in /var/opt/codesys/ .UserMgmtDB.csv .UserMgmRightstDB.csv .GroupDatabase.csv .UserDatabase.csv_ .GroupDatabase.csv_ .UserDatabase.csv The file .UserMgmtDB.csv was missing. I moved the other files in a savefolder. Full Step by step instructions stop the runtime with sudo /etc/init.d/codesyscontrol stop rename the following files on the PI: (or save them and then delete them) in this directory: /var/opt/codesys/ .UserMgmtDB.csv .UserMgmRightstDB.csv .GroupDatabase.csv .UserDatabase.csv_ .GroupDatabase.csv_ .UserDatabase.csv then restart the Runtime: sudo /etc/init.d/codesyscontrol start now reconnect the PLC via the Automation Server - here you will be asked to create a new CODESYS user password, The user management files deleted above are then created again (in /var/opt/codesys/ on the PI).

Hello everyone, I'm currently using CODESYS v3.5 SP10 on Windows 11, and I've noticed that syntax errors are not automatically underlined in red as they normally should be. Is there a specific setting that needs to be enabled for this feature to work? If so, could you please let me know where to find it? I’ve already tried uninstalling and reinstalling CODESYS, but that didn’t resolve the issue. Also, i have a teammate who have exactly the same computer as me and he didnt encounter any issue. Thank you in advance for your help!

*** The system may be in an inconsistent state, please reboot *** *Exception* Async service: ServiceGroup=17, IP=0x5fa45617, Component=CmpSrv Every time at the instant that I Login to the system a message that the "system may be in an inconsistent state, please reboot" is written in the log. If I logout and repeat login a new entry is set. My system is a "Control for linux SL" running on a debian linux host. Im running it on my desk without any IO attached so message might be caused from that, but I doubt i have seen it before. Rebooting makes no difference. Anyone that have a clue of how I should interpret this error message?

Version 8.30a of 2025-May-06 (Build 6885) for Linux/ARMHF 64-Bit Copyright (C) 2007-2025 by WIBU-SYSTEMS AG. All rights reserved. List all locally connected CmContainers: - CmContainer with Serial Number 130-XXXXXXXX and version 3.00 (empty) - CmContainer with Serial Number 130-XXXXXXXX and version 3.00 (locked) Result: 2 CmContainer(s) listed. The licence has been activated with a computer Name, but the guy who did it make a mistake in the name, so he changed it after to have activate the licence. I think this has created a second container. The licence is actived on the other container.

Hi all, in Alarm management you can latch some variable to show value within the alarm msg. It´s very useful sometime. But I´m wondering whether there is any possibility to represent that value as Text list. It´s quite common in other HMI tools and this is very useful in case of using some ErrorID for detail specification of error. Unfortunately I could not find any way how to do it but I believe that exists :) Thanks a lot. M.

I can't recall how I solved it and whether it was a problem with my codesys installation or the project itself. If it is the codesys installation, make sure all your required libraries and plugins are installed and available. compare with a colleagues installation if possible. I vaguely recall saving a copy of my project and deleting things one by one until the error went away...

I'm having trouble with the initial loading of recipes. I can create them and load one or the other, but when the program restarts the recipes are not listed. I'm calling: RecipeManCommands.ReloadRecipes and then RecipeManCommands.GetRecipeCount which returns 0 recipes. None of the methods returns error and if i call them again after RecipeManCommands.CreateRecipe RecipeManCommands.ReadAndSaveRecipe getRecipeCount returns the number of recipes created. When i restart the system, once again they are not listed even though the recipe files are there. Any ideas? Martin Btw, Codesys 3.5 SP 16 Path 9

I have developped a function block 'Axis' the inherits from 'AXIS_REF_SM3' -> FUNCTION_BLOCK Axis EXTENDS AXIS_REF_SM3 In my global variable list I define a variable MasterDrive of type Axis and assign Axis1. Axis1 is a virtual drive (AXIS_REF_VIRTUAL_SM3). This type should inherit from AXIS_REF_VIRTUAL. VAR_GLOBAL MasterDrive : Axis := Axis1; However I get the error 'Cannot convert type'. What is the way to obtain what I want : function block inheriting AXIS_REF_SM3 and initialising this function block with a Softmotion virtual or real axis?

Yes, this point is part of my misunderstanding. Why, after the execution ot the motion FBs is set to FALSE and exsecuted at lest one time, it must be continuosly called, even if the motion control it's take from another subsequent instruction. This is what I really don't undertand, but what in fact it's happening. For example, in case of stopping a MoveVelocity FB, then Halting the motion by the related FB, the axis at spot goes into error. If there was bad trigger management, the various instructions would NEVER work.

Consuming assembly O->T will be the hex of the assembly you want to reference for output data - I want 102 (DO Data Only) shown in the Wago web page 102 = 16#66. Producing assembly (T->O) is the assembly you require for input data - again shown in the Wago web page - I want 108 (DI Data Only) or 16#6C Then set the number of bytes as per the data in the Wago web page too (both 2 in my case)

Hello, if I try to use ERR_Ok in my code to check whether the file is open correctly or not, I get an error "Identifier ERR_OK not recognized", I can use plain 0 (zero) instead. Hello, I use the Library NBS from "caa net base services". After opening the Project i get 19 errors from the message window "Precompilation", most of them because it doesn't recognise a component of the FB "NBS.UD_Peer". (see photo) After compiling the Project at least 2 times, there are no errors. Is there a reason and solution for this behavior? Is there a problem with resolving the library? Thanks for any clue

Hi mate, With this snippet i was able to see the lastusage variable count, but it would not iterate between clients? i was only able to access the data of the target visu. it threw an error with the array of pointers stating it was not able to convert etc. also when i tried it with the while loop it created an endless loop and crashed the program. any ideas? hello. After installing the latest version of codesys (3.5.20) from codesys installer, I had a problem. All my devices disappeared. Both PLCs and IO modules and network devices disappeared from my list. I browsed through the Windows files and I can find them in the programdata/codesys/devices folder. The files remain there, but they are not available within codesys (same error in all installed versions) which in this case are 3.5.16 and 3.5.19. Does anyone know how I can reimport or resynchronize my devices folder again? Thanks

I ended up figuring it out It wasn't in my code. It kept taking me to 2 of my visualizations but it wasn't going to anything specific. Figured out it was some arrows that I had made to buttons for a mouse click to go to the other visualizations. I removed the text in the assign box but didn't remove the action "change shown Visualization from the list. If I deleted the images all together, the error went away. That's how I thought to go look at that.

When you say it does not work, does nothing happen or do you get an error? I have not used this function in codesys but from my past experience with Modbus I believe the coils need to be contiguous, which may be why yours is failing? Have you tried using Write Registers (16) to do the job? Or is their data in-between you do not want to edit in the transaction?

Update, installed 3.5.19.70 with the same result. The error message is as useful as a chocolate fire guard. The container SN is in the 130-xxx range which should work. The Version, Chip, Rev number don't mean anything to me. There is no SD Card installed. I've also reinstalled a fresh Wago FW22 image, Deployed PFC200 SL and Edge for Linux, still the same result.
