Hi dgrard, I had the same issue for a long time, but on a WAGO webvisu. Now I'm glad that I can share my solution. I don't know if you are trying to use the webvisu or the target visu, but this works on webvisu: Get "go2rtc" and set it up according to the documentation. I'm running the Windows binary. On a PC with the Control Win, this is probably related to the fact that the CAN drivers are not loaded. Go to the folder where your Control Win Configuration file is: - E.g. C:\ProgramData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3x64\E1FA7ABE - Open the CODESYSControl.cfg - Remove the semi-colon in front of the CAN driver you want to use (section ComponentManager). - Set the component ID to the next number in the list (e.g. Component.8) - Save this file and restart the Control Win.

I got the shared memory example. I'm pretty sure I'm successfully created a memory space, CreateResult returns 18. szName:='CodesysDataShare'; hShm := SysSharedMemoryCreate(szName, 0, ADR(uxiSize), ADR(CreateResult)); I'm trying to access this memory with a C# application, but I get "Unable to Find Specified File". I suspect that Codesys and/or Visual Studio code alters the name I choose? However, I still cannot install Virtual PLC. I'm currently getting a missing path message: "C:\Program Files\CODESYS 3.5.19.60\CODESYS\CODESYS Virtual Control for Linux SL\Delivery\virtuallinux\VirtualControlAPI.py." It looks as the package: "CODESYS Virtual Control for Linux SL" was not installed. But, there isn't one in CODESYS Store or I'm doing something incorrectly.

Recipe Manager will load windows explorer view and allow file name to be typed in or existing file selected but will not create a new file or overwrite an existing. Will not create a file in the default folder or even a defined folder like "c:\recipes\" although it does properly navigate to that folder location. I made sure the folder is not read-only. Can't figure out what is missing...

A got a larger project but this very small example makes it clear. I have a button, and after it's clicked a lamp should flip on and stays on, and when the mouse-button is released it should stay on. When I try that in the PLC_PRG it works, but when I change it to a function block (seet attched demo proj) it isn't. I'm fairly new to PLC programming but are very experienced C# engineer, but this goes above my head...

Hey Everyone, I'm having a bit of a struggle finding settings that will reliably maintain a connection between the webvisu and a touchscreen client. Every so often the HMI disconnects and will perpetually display the red spinning arrow with the "Error Happened, Will resume automatically" text. Power cycling the HMI to force a reconnect will re-establish comms. It seems to happen during periods of inactivity if that's a clue. From what I've gathered so far this seems to have something to do with the webvisu update rate, buffer size as well as the visu task scan rate. We first tried the default settings as follows: Webvisu Update Rate: 200 ms Webvisu Buffer Size: 50,000 Visu Task Scan Rate: 100 ms Priority 31 Other Tasks for Reference: Main Task Scan Rate: 100 ms Priority 1 Alarm Manager Scan Rate: 50 ms Priority 31 Ethercat Task: 4 ms Priority 1 This would disconnect some what regularly. We then made the following changes to try and stabilize: Webvisu Update Rate: 150 ms Webvisu Buffer Size: 75,000 Visu Task Scan Rate: 75 ms Kept other tasks the same. This seems to disconnect even more frequently. Also for reference the network is very small and only consists of the PLC, a small switch and the HMI. We're also not controlling frames from outside the visu program itself. The frame changes are all done natively. Any suggestions to get this to stop disconnecting? Oh and whatever the issue is the log does not record it. Figured I would ask here before opening a ticket. Thanks in advance for your help!

My controller, which is a Linux PC, has got two network cards eth0 and eth1 I whant to use the card with name "eth0" as a server for OPCUA and keep the "eth1" free for other stuffs. Is it possible ? Hi, Is there a process to restore Persistence Manager files? I have backups of persistence variables used in a machine that is currently operating and tuned and all set points adjusted. There are about 500 persistence variables, they are building another identical machine. I would like to use Persistence Manager files from the first machine in the second also. I have tried copying the files and replacing them on the new RPI but then the Persistence Manager gets errors and then they are all reset to 0 etc I have tried adjusting the times to match. Instead of replacing whole file, I tried just changing the contents inside the file, but still does not work. I may be missing something here, but surely there must be a way to load a backup. Thanks!

Hallo, I have a strange problem with the recipe manager. ISSUE: When using RecipeManCommands not all values are loaded correctly. Saving a recipe with CreateRecipe(), ReadAndSaveRecipe() or ReadAndSaveRecipeAs() works without any problems. BUT: LoadRecipe(), WriteRecipe() or LoadFromAndWriteRecipe() do not load the data correctly. It is Interesting that we have a different error pattern with LoadRecipe() than with WriteRecipe() or LoadFromAndWriteRecipe(). LoadRecipe() does not load all data and WriteRecipe() or LoadFromAndWriteRecipe() overwrites some data or assigns it incorrectly. And it is also strange that LoadRecipe() writes the values to the PLC. Normally it doesn’t do it. It makes no difference whether the memory type is textual or binary. I have an object consisting of STRUCTs which is inserted in the recipe definition. Environment: Codesys V3.5 SP19 Patch 4 (64Bit), Recipe Management 4.2.0.0 *Add a project (reduced to the problem)

Hi, Our program incorporates various function blocks and programs written in different languages such as St and SFC. They implement numerous actions and methods using different languages from their function blocks. My question is whether the execution order of function blocks is associated with the programming languages used. I understand that cycle time can be configured in the task configuration, but I'm curious if there is a specific sequence order of execution for function blocks written in different languages. For example, all function blocks in (ST) are executed first, followed by the execution of (SFC). Specifically, when the function is written in (ST) and the action is implemented in (SFC). I modified all function blocks in the main PLC program and configured a task configuration for the main program.

I have default arguments specified for function block methods but when calling a method, an error is produced requiring me to supply all the arguments despite there being default values. According to the online documentation, under section "Calling a Method" and subsection "argument passing" of the following link: https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Development%20System/_cds_obj_method.html "Passing an argument for an input ... can be omitted ... for which a default or initial value was specified in the declaration..." I have found this to be the case for all Codesys IDEs I've used, 3.5.11, 3.5.16, 3.5.17, 3.5.19. Am I missing something?

Hello all, I am working in a project in which there are multiple Modbus TCP slaves. I need to be able to change the IP addresses of those devices from the HMI and I was planning to use the process depicted here: https://faq.codesys.com/display/CDSFAQ/Modbus+TCP+Slave%3A+Dynamic+Setting+of+the+IP+Address I can see the port number is what is used to specify which slave device we want to modify the IP address of. This said, can I freely set arbitrary port numbers to each device? I mean, can I set the first device to be at port 502, the second one at port 503... Any drawback or restriction? Is there any other way to reference to the device without having to change the port numbers? Thank you all in advance.

We establish the connection with OpenVPN Connect and can ping both controllers. We have a laptop that, most of the time, will allow Codesys connection to the controllers, but we have several other computers that are unable to connect, although all of them can ping successfully. We cannot find any difference in the configuration or software installed from one PC to another. If we connect to the router by WIFI, instead of VPN, all the computers work fine. We know that scanning the network will not work over a remote connection, so we input the controller IP directly. Has anyone had a simlar problem and can offer any hint on what to check to meke the connection run?

Hi, I am running my application on device based on Compute Module 4S (Cortex-A72 (ARMv8) 64-bit ). On this device I installed RPi Runtime in 4.11.0.0 version. In my project I use device: Codesys Control for Raspberry Pi 64SL and my project works, but I actually do not have acces to all GPIO's , because GPIOs Compute Module is available only in 3.5.16.0 version and it doesn't work. Properly work GPIOs B+/Pi2 but using this device I do not have acces to all GPIO's in CM4S. Anyone of can tell me how add GPIOs Compute Module 4.11.0.0 to my project ?

Hello, I got a bit of a weird issue going on which is kind of annoying. So recently we switched a lot of Modbus IO to EtherCAT, as we were having issues with stability. All works fine, which is great. But sometimes when I change the program I get errors claiming that identifiers are not defined. Meaning I can't go online. See the picture below. I believe this is because some of these identifiers were used with Modbus, and they weren't properly removed/deleted? A clean all temporary fixes the issue, but it comes back again after a while of changing the code, and building. Any way to fix these non-existing required identifiers, or even find out where they are required? Thanks for the help in advance. Jasper.

Is there anybody can help me with the same problem? I have to migrate created project in ver.3.5.17.0 32BIT with runtime 4.7.0 to ver.3.5.20.0 64BIT with runtime 4.7.11.0 due to the new license. All the libraries and dependencies are updaded and there are no any errors. The first compilation and loading to the controller is being compleated well. After this being done and if I am forced to change any values or change any code in the current project, another compilation will be freezed. This problem can be solved if pressed Build/cleen or cleen all. There is another method to solve this; if project is loaded with excluded object (Alarm Configuration), repeated compilations will be done well.

Hi all, I am attempting to use the Control Win V3 soft PLC to control a WAGO 750-315 remote I/O system via modbus RTU communication. I am struggling to connect to the device. I have been following this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlRfkESaNds I have setup my devices as shown in the images below. I have verified that my com port settings are correct as I am able to connect/control using modbus simulator software with these settings. I have also connected to a modbus master simulator program as instructed in the video, but the orange triangles will not go away. Additionally, I have updated my settings to 485 using the PLC shell. I have also set "always update variables" to enabled (1). Serial port, PCI-Bus, and modbus serial device status all show as "Not Running."
