Hello, I used to connect into my gateway using control SL tool 4.13, (it was called Update Linux.) I formated my computer, so today I install the new version of codesys and all package. Now I am not able to connect to my PLC using control SL. It says, check the status. Normally it used to worked perfectly before that.

Probably the enum from the library doesn't have text support. In that case you need to add your own TextList to the application. In the rectangle you should use the property "dynamic text" to link this object to the textlist which you have created yourself and then link the text index to your enum variable.

Not knowing exactly what you want to accomplish, you can try to use VAR_INPUT MyVar: POINTER TO BOOL; END_VAR MyVar contains the address of your referenced variable, and MyVar^ dereferences it allowing you to access the value. If this doesn't meet your needs, could you add more detail on what you are trying to accomplish?

I am using Codesys SP20 patch 5 and in a visualization element, the "Color variables" section does not have a section to set up dynamic color values linked to variables. In a previous version (SP18), I get the option to add variables for Normal & Alarm state colors. Does anyone know how to get the dynamic color variables to work?

make sure the PLC and the programming PC have IP addresses that are on the same subnet, you'll have to know the default address of the PLC or you may need to connect to it with a special cable and use a software tool to set the IP address.

Hello, I think you can try to change the Connection from Multicast to Point to Point. Please also make sure your windows firewall is allowing the correct UDP ports inbound for ethernet IP. You might also need to increase the RPI, so it times out slower.

you need to set the increments to 10 (the screenshot shows 10000 hex = 65536). all the turn settings to 1. and the application units to 366. But usually you use the resolver resolution per motor turn. Insert the gear ratios (1:1 for no gear) and the last field you put the circumference of your drive wheel.

Hi All, I finally figured out how to solve it. The only away that I got it to work was to define parity to None on modbus configuration, and now works like a charm. Just for the record I'm using the GPIO port pins (8,10) and a RS485 to ttl shield that you can find online. Thanks all for the support! Regards Ricardo

Hi, On CODESYS V3.5.19.50 I am using the latest 3S File Access library (CAA File & CAA Types) to save and retrieve configuration data from the User Data section of an SD card, via file called config.txt. The application reads the file to memory once upon initialisation, and then the only other operation is overwriting the file with the updated configuration whenever the user changes the settings. An issue is ocurring, seemingly randomly, where the config.txt file, and all surrounding directories, cannot be written to by the unit, returning a READ_ONLY_CAA error upon file open. This sometimes does not clear even after power-cycling the PLC several times, yet checking the file permissions with ls -l shows normal read, write, and execute access. I am wondering if this is caused by the PLC itself or by an issue in my application. Hello, I'm encountering an issue with the Sysprocess library while attempting to execute commands to transfer a file from a NAS to my PLC. Currently, I'm trying to test a simple "reboot" command, but it doesn't work as demonstrated in this video: https://youtu.be/77c7Af5xRhE?si=uFZdB6fTNQitzWMQ. I'm using CODESYS V3.5 SP18 Patch 4 (3.5.18.40). From other sources, I've learned that to enable the PLC to execute commands, I need to add the following line to the file CODESYSControl_User.txt: [SysProcess] Command=AllowAll However, the issue I'm facing is that this file doesn't exist on my CPU. I have full SSH access and can see all files, but only CODESYSControl.txt is present. Adding the command to CODESYSControl.txt hasn't resolved the problem.

Old thread, I know - but it still has good answers. I would like to add a bit of info to it, as I was having a problem that lead me to this thread, but didn't give an exact answer. I am porting a project to a different PLC architecture. (Wago PFC300) A GVL named 'GVL' in the POUs section of my project was shadowed by a PLC-specific library in the Application->Library Manager. So all the existing references in the device specific code to 'GVL.something' would not resolve. Right-clicking the GVL in the code and 'Go to definition' would point me to the library in the Application Library Manager. All I had to do from there, was right-click the library, and set the property 'Only allow qualified access to all identifiers' in the library.
