I have been trying out Unconnected_Send Explicit Message with route path.(The Unconnected_Send service shall use the Connection Manager object in each router to forward the message and to remember the return path. Vol 1.3 / 3-5.6.7) However, I could not see the correct path on Wireshark. I want to see the Unconnected_Send Message Service Code as 0x52 and also the last of the message should have the route path. I want to ask some questions about this topic. The IIoDrvEIPAcylicServices Interface has the IoDrvSendUnconnectedMessage Method. And there is a struct (EIP_SendUnconnectedMessage) for this service. But there is no information about how to implement to project, and if it is successful, does it send a message with 0x52 Unconnected_Send Service Code or not? If that is not a solution, how can I set the Unconnected_Send Explicit Message struct on Codesys? Also how can I send explicit message with route path?

Busy testing a solution to use Canbus Slave to replace a physical device and convert to Ethercat device but keep the Canbus Master in place. Master needs to Read SDO object 5FA2. In the Master PLC if i send the SDO with 8 bytes in message IE: 60B 40 A2 5F 00 00 00 00 00 i get my expected 58B 43 A2 5F 00 00 68 36 02 containing data back. Problem is if we issue a 4 byte command can send 60B 40 A2 5F. Surely the canbus slave should respond with a 58B 43 A2 5F 00 00 68 36 02 but it comes back as 80 A2 5F 00 00 00 00 08 - meaning this OBJECT does not exist. Is there a setting in the canbus slave driver for Canbus to allow the 4 byte command to read the SDO OBJECTS ?

The hole setup is made by 3s. So its a comination of one not two. If Epis decide not to support extra licence whats then the funtion of providing an option with a single license ?? So the idee by 3s has a flod. Epis change the system to add the Stick. I send controller inc stick to Epis. On my software i can see the stick. An then you tel me i need a other license to use an license ?? Makes completly no sense. Codesys should be flexible but is not. I tried Delta. But has no HMI and has its own Codesys ?? Why ?? Then i tried Crist. The block there own system by a password. But dont know the password and cant switch it off. At the end the want me to pay for support to solve ther own made problem. So i send it al back. The extra license is adviced by 3s . Now a few month later still no working solution.

Hello, I have a project using some EPEC PLC's. Some of them are programmable using Ethernet and some use CAN. We currently have a Raspberry Pi that is acting as a gateway to the Codesys Automation Server and is successfully working for the PLC's communicating over ethernet. I am trying to achieve a similar result for the PLC's that have only CAN access. I have PEAKCan drivers on the Pi, and can successfully send/receive messages. But the Gateway does not recognise the PLC when scanned from the Automation server online. Is there a library or service that exists to translate the CAN messaging, to the Edge Gateway, and be able to achieve remote access with the Automation Server? Or is this not possible without creating something custom? Cheers, Daniel

Hi, sorry for the late reply. After some investigation, the read-only error was being triggered by a FAT-fs filesystem panic on the kernel end, probably caused by unfinished write/reads causing corruption. I found this thread https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Engineering/thread/e637d252b7/ which seems to give a solution of using SysProcess to send the 'sync' command to the console immediately following a write to prevent issues if power is lost or, in my case, if the unit is harshly power cycled. Indeed this seems to resolve the issue bar the worst possible edge cases.

Does anybody know how to get a specific text from a text list within a program. Obviously it works in a visualization, but because I will have an HMI that has it's own system and I will have to send variables to this HMI via an OPC UA connection, I need to be able to get a text into a string. I tried using the VisuElems like this, but it only returns an empty "" and nothing else. Ah - forgot another question as it may be related to the PLL problem: I am executing a 4ms cycle. I do not call (from what I know) the Ethercat_MAster periodically in my program. The bus cycle task is set to the Ethercat task. I would assume that the master should send 250 frames per second. Yet, the status of the master says it transmits 500 frames per second which would indicate that the master is called twice. Any ideas there?

I succeed to change the device to PI_SL but still the same problem of the I2C device switching between running and not running. the only difference with your project is that yo use I2C_master device version 4.7.0 and i 4.7.13, for GPIO i also use the 4.7.13 version and you the 4.7.0. Can you send me the older version of the Raspberry PI pheripals library, because i cannot choose lower version then 4.7.10 for the GPIO and I2C_master device

Thanks! As far as I can see, the client can only send words. And on the server side there are an array for each of the functions: bool for coil and discrete, word for holding and input registers. I assume I can use holding register, then use bit mapping on the words instead of coils. But I really want to use the FC15/coils.

Hi imdatatas, sorry to hear this issue caused so much overhead for you. Frankly, I'd expect a project created with an older version to compile without errors after opening > it with the latest Codesys version and updating all libraries. Yes, that is a reasonable expectation. I tried a few times but could not reproduce the problem. In case you run into the problem again, we can investigate the issue if you send a project archive. Dear All, Dear CODESYS, I'm curiously following CODESYS transitioning away from the CAA libraries, and I'm mostly in favor of these major changes. Naturally, I'd like to align my current (not end-user) developments accordingly. I'm tracking , reading release notes, ... And want to figure out the future :) Is it possible to hear / read more about the reasons, objectives and scope of these changes? One important element is CAA Types - CAA Types Extern. What is the plan with that? What's the future of CAA.SEMA, CAA.BOLT ? I have never used them (always relied on SysLib*), but they are tempting... Would be useful to have a platform independent "Macro" for this functionality... Is there something in existing or planned ? Are they suitable to be used in low level libraries... For Example IO-Drivers, Components, "to-become system libraries"? CAA.TaskLock, CAA.TaskUnlock ? Well, they don't claim platform independency, so I can't rely on those.... Any up-to-date advise, standard, pattern to follow in new libraries for task and resource locking? Practical set of conditional defines to be used? If this information is not publicly available, can you please send a private message about the proper way to achieve this? I have support agreement, just couldn't get trough with these questions... P.
