Hi, My problem was related to the behavior of the modulo axis, but maybe you will find something useful from what I write. The solution lies in path processing. Codesys offers a G-code analysis tool. Insert a CNC object into the project. The CNC settings object will be added automatically. By inserting appropriate processing modules into the CNC settings object and parameterizing them, you can test the behavior of the axis. When the effect is satisfactory, remember to add the module from CNC settings in the correct order in the processing path. Each CNC machine case is different. You need to spend some time to get your design tailored like an Armani suit. Good luck.

I bought and installed SoftMotion Light now. When I try to add a SoftMotion Light Axis to my stepper drive and I go online it shows: "The license is missing or invalid". See picture What am I doing wrong? This is the right way right? First add your EtherCat XML-File from your stepper driver and then add the SoftMotion Light axis right? Thanks for your help esave

Hello forum Does anyone have experience with optimally adjusting the position and size of the visualization elements? For us, the adjustment on the x-axis works in Codesys 3.5 SP20 with (Container.Width - Visu.Width). However, the y-axis is not affected with (Container.Height - Visu.Height). We implemented this according to the example from Codesys "Optimally adjust position and size" and had no success. Thank you very much for your help.

What do you mean by continuous movement? You want to continuously follow a dynamic target position? SMC_ControlAxisByPos, which is typically used with CNC Interpolators, could work for that. Instead of feeding the target position in from the Interpolator, feed in the target position from your server instead. In general, drives have parameter sets to adjust behaviour in such cases: position recovery, adaptation with resistant torque, out-of-position window failure, etc. (Much depends on the type of configuration set for the axis: positioner, speed controller, torque controller, etc.). I have used that type of drive very little, in only two cases and a long time ago. To tell you what is normal is impossible. I know by reputation they are very simple objects, without too many pretensions and adjustments possible. Try running traces by monitoring actual position, motor current, torque and following error. These are the most sensible curves to understand what is going on. Maybe by fine tuning the motor tuning, the current controller or the speed controller you will get something closer to what you want. For example, from DS, the motor has a standstill torque of 3 Nm. Observe with traces whether this is effective: motor current trend. And afterwards, when you have your own accurate picture of the situation, you can also hear from the product's local support to see if you can steal a few more things from it performance-wise.

With that I could make an array of varying size, but would still have to define the array type in the function's declaration VAR_IN_OUT stArray: array [*..*] of <pre-defined data type> END_VAR I wanted a function that could take an array of any type (e.g., a structured VAR) as an input. That way I could call it in multiple POUs to handle different arrays structures.

In your project you selected the "CODESYS Control Win V3" as device, but the device you want to connect to is a "CODESYS Control Win V3 x64". Those are not the same. If you double click on the device during the network scan, you will get information that these are not the same, but that you can change the type in your project to the x64 bit type. Another option is to "right-click" on the device in the device tree of your project and select "update device" then select the x64 type.

Hello, i need to create an application that uses 2 masters, with 2 different ratios, and it outputs in one single slave. I explain better: Imagine axis A, B and C. -Axis A is the slave. -Axis B is master of A, with a specific ratio. -Axis C is master of A, with a specific ratio. the result motion from B and C should be executed by A, proportionally in position and ratios from B and C. With standard softmotion libraries (MC_...) it is not possible (i couldn't) because it is allowed only one master with its ratio. I have made a similiar application in past, using MoveOverGear in order to synch gears before engage. Instead this time, i need to do a gear over gear application, using 2 different masters. The position have to be the sum of both masters (considering their ratios). Any clue about how to do it? Or were to find some FB that can do it?

I have noticed on the standard numpad dialog, if a user enters a purely decimal number (ie '.6'), the numpad will not accept the value but gives no indication. One must type a leading zero (ie '0.6') in order for it to work. Is there a way to correct this so that a user can just type the decimal value?
