Hallo, Ich bastele gerade an einer möglichst einfachen Möglichkeit mit der ich prüfen kann ob ein String Sonderzeichen enthält. Mein Ansatz ist ein ST FB mit einer Case Schrittkette. Ich vergleiche jedes Zeichen des Strings mit allen Zeichen eines vorher definierten Strings erlaubter Zeichen, der A-Z, a-z und 0-9 enthält und ggf angepasst werden kann, wenn ich weitere Zeichen erlaube. Leider wird meine j Zählervariable nicht richtig ausgeführt. Hat da jemand eine Idee? Oder gibt es eine einfachere Lösung/einen fertigen FB den ich mir anschauen kann? Yep sure, though now that i think of it, its a pi 4. My bad. The whole ordeal was necessary to use the VGA666 adapter. That needs the old graphical system and GPIO directly on the CPU. Edit: Putty on the virtual development machine connects fine. But i did change the login/pw. The account is still a sudo'er so that should be all right. Edit2: Sorry i get a "Comment rate limit exceeded" from the forum. Then i'll add it as edit here. So i have tried the stock raspberry pi image on a different pi5 (truly 5 this time). Packages updated. Standard password. Same symptoms, no runtime deployed and long hang time. It seems that running CODESYS virtualized somehow messes with the deployment?

I don't have time to go through the whole manual but as I said earlier, the servo drive does not support any of the modes needed for SoftMotion Light to work. If you want to use the full SoftMotion, you could use SMC_Homing function block to do the homing. This function block does not use the Homing Mode. It still uses the CSP mode and does the logic in Codesys runtime instead of in the servo drive. Read the documentation about it to see if it fits your needs. But if your controller only supports SoftMotion Light, I am afraid you will not be able to use the i950. I do a lot of motion stuff with different servo brands. Some support all the modes needed for SoftMotion Light and some don't. You really need to make sure the modes are supported before choosing a brand over another. I tend not to use brand specific controllers in order not to be limited by their supported features. I usually choose a PC (Linux or Windows) and install the Codesys runtime and licences myself. This is the most flexible way to use Codesys in my opinion. Depending on how many axes are needed in your project, a full SoftMotion license may not be more expensive than SoftMotion Light because SoftMotion is available as Application based license whereas SoftMotion Light is not. But of course, SoftMotion is harder on the CPU than SoftMotion Light.

Hello good morning everyone I would like to ask a question, is it possible to directly connect a device that only contains modbus RTU communication through an R-45 connector, directly to the PC? Or would you need an intermediate device to achieve communication? When using the FileOpenSave dialog and using the Visu_FbFileListProvider FB as an In/Output I could not manage to detect the difference of pressing the "Load" button on the dialog vs. pressing the "Cancel" button. In both cases, the selected file is updated if the dialog is closed when checking using the Visu_FbFileListProvider.GetSelectedFileName() command. How can I prevent reading or writing of a file when the "Cancel" button was pressed?

Hello All! Having a strange issue. When adding a library, I'm unable to search. Each time a window pops up 'creating the search index' and then has 0 results. I have the same behavior when using the library repository and pressing the 'Find' button. I wonder if there is a way to reset or fix this issue? It is making it very difficult to search and find proper libraries to add to my project. Much appreciated.

If I do online monitoring of code in f.i. a function block, I cannot see if the function block is called or not. In software from other vendors you normally have an indication if the online code you are looking on is scanned at that moment or not. Is there a way in Codesys to determine in the online view if (parts) of the code are scanned or not? Thanks

Hello, The title pretty much says it all. When trying to open a FB from the CFC/Ladder/SFC editors while online, the FB does not open in an online view of that specific instance. Instead, it opens an offline view with '???' shown for the value of any variable. This makes debugging extremely cumbersome, as I have to find each FB in the POU window and select the specific instance I am trying to view. Anyone know the cause/solution for this? Thanks.

But for individual configurating of passwort policies I create a visu-dialog to set policies and there for an option to set auto-logout-time. But till now, I haven't found a solution. Just to share, for those who as me are seeking for this and had found no information anywhere in this World: Every time I stop/start the PLC runtime ( turning into 'Stopped' or 'Running' state ) the 'CODESYSControlService' appears at the Taskmanager list, which could suggest a straight correlation. I was expecting a clever solution, but this one solves for while.

I was answering your last paragraph Meanwhile, I would like to understand why the motion FB instances must still be called even after the Execute is set to FALSE, especially in view of the fact that the next instruction is programmed to abort the previous one, with BufferMode set to 'Aborting'. All these unnecessary FB calls are an unnecessary overhead on the CPU anyway. Is there any precise rule about when to cease calling the various instances? (It should precisely be the 'done' status that says this one has finished its work).

Hello everyone, I’m integrating Codesys with Kepserver using the Kepware driver for Codesys, and I need to configure a user account with the minimum necessary privileges to read and write to the tags on the PLC, without using the internal OPC UA server of Codesys. However, despite not assigning the Modify permission, Kepware still allows writing to the tags. What are the minimum required permissions to ensure that writing is only allowed when necessary, and how can I prevent other permissions from being overridden? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I've seen that you can use cmds like below to run SA from scripts. system.commands["staticanalysis", "run"].execute() But I would like to run different SA configuration files to create separate logs and cant find anywhere in the scripting engine if this is supported. This stems from if I turn on everything, SA stops reporting issues in the message log when the list gets over 600ish issues. Once we have done an initial clean up of code this wont be an issue, but I'm trying to get a baseline to track improvement.

Hello, I use the Library NBS from "caa net base services". After opening the Project i get 19 errors from the message window "Precompilation", most of them because it doesn't recognise a component of the FB "NBS.UD_Peer". (see photo) After compiling the Project at least 2 times, there are no errors. Is there a reason and solution for this behavior? Is there a problem with resolving the library? Thanks for any clue

My working range is 0-350 bar, which means the PLC only uses 298 bits in this range, significantly reducing the resolution. What can I do to achieve better resolution within the 0-350 bar range?

Hello again, After looking into it, I noticed that the release note of "CODESYS Control for Raspberry PI 4.13.0.0" mentions a bug fix titled "Support Compute module 4". Is it possible to have more details about this fix from the CodeSys team please ? Because I have several CM4 boards with the same hardware revision / OS but some of them works with the 4.10 runtime and others only works with the 4.13 runtime...

The only weird situation i remeber with particular or complete frozen target visu was after the rtc clock was fallen or set back to the past. It looked like after running a while the alarm history database crashed during writing entries at a date lot of years in the past. After setting the rtc clock to actual date/time and deleting the alarm db every thing worked fine. I don't know, if this is/was a problem of our PLC hardware/firmware? Maybe check date/time at your system?
