Hello Tim, I am using CODESYS Visu V4.8.1.0. It works when I turn off the "Support client animation and overlay of native elements". But if I do that, dialog box moving and other options are also disabled so it is a bit problematic. Thank you for helping.

Maybe check: - The library manager, are you maybe missing some libraries - Tools - CODESYS installer: update the CODESYS Visualization and Visualization support - Project - Project environment: maybe you need to update the visualization profile

Maybe it is better to use Interfaces to access the objects instead of pointers. But besides that, is "read_obj_ptr" a method? If yes, you need to call it, so add brackets behind the method call: read_obj_ptr();

Didn't help. I'm just trying to understand why the errors occur. Are they from the poor driver or from the Linux network stack. That's why I wanted to know how the rxerros and lostframes are counted. Because in other places (like ethtool info) there are no any issues. And the Ethercat device works fine. And it also strange that on the second ethernet port with a different HW and driver Ethercat works better, but still time to time gets such errors.

I have Already the same problem when i'm trying to write data more than 10 times in the same file. In fact, i send my data periodicaly to a file that i configured to have permission of W/R in my CodesysContol.cfg. When the Error occurs, i must reboot my machine to success. It means that the problem isn't realted to a limitation of size, but a problem in the function supposed to handle the file. totorovic : allow me to know if you've found a solution to your problem. @davidking, can you be more specific about where exactly "Compiler Defines" is located. I'm using Codesys v3.5 SP21 Patch2 and cannot find this Compiler Defines option. In the menu Project -> Project Settings there are Compiler options and Compiler warnings, but that is not it.

Codesys 3.5 17.30, plc - crevis GN-9373. I need to use RTC of pls for write in registers (need to check difference of writen 100 and 200 registers). For this i try to use SysTimeRtc (SysTimeRtc.SysTimeRtcGet) but its not working. After it i tryed to use SysTimeGetMs and something like this but still not working. Library? Hello, I'm trying to understand the reason for the many errors on the EtherCAT master status page. If we set the cycletime to 1ms we see a lot of rxerrors and lostframes, but the send and recive times are quite good (see attachement). And the status of the EtherCAT bus is good (no other errors, all is green, slave has no errors) But when we set 2ms cycletime the lostframe errors are gone, but periodically increses rxerror counter (see attachement). My MC_Phasing FB was stuck in iPhasingState=1 and error output HIGH on one axis. I could manually overwrite the state to 0 in the instance data. During normal run I see the state change from 0 to 10 to 100 back to 0 (maybe more states that I couldnt catch with the naked eye) But - what are the states numbers and their different explenations? This is not explained in the FB guide on codesys. (the pictures show state = 0 after I reset)

Took me a while to work on this again. I testes today with a fresh setup and it works now. My OneWireCycle tasks runs for around 10seconds. I guess my mistake was that I put the cycle task for the OneWire Task to a too small number. Thx for the support!

That's what I found as well Shaun. I have seen it at least in versions 3.5.21.1 and 3.5.21.3. There seems to be an issue with the FBD/LD package v4.6.0.0. The workaround proposed by Tim works but needs to be done manually on every code change/addition. For now we manually downgrade the FBD/LD package from v4.6.0.0 down to v4.5.0.0 after installation of CoDeSys. Same as you did. I hope this gets fixed on a next patch.

Did you test this with the latest version of the CODESYS Visualization add-on? Something that you might want to test is if it works better when you disable the "Support client animation and overlay of native elements". Double-click on the VisualizationManager in your project to find this setting.

As I see from your logs I think the Timeprovider is not accurate enough in your case. Things to check - at the moment you run it on the same device? (for tesing purpose ok) I would set 127.0.0.0 as IP and set it not really to Core 0 ( many other stuff is there)

I did some work around by adding IN switch on top of OUT bulb picture(SwitchImage) and setting IN switch button to invisible but this is not quite elegant. How to combine it to one visu element?

I have been following the steps shown in the RealPars video to connect CODESYS with Factory I/O. The connection works correctly when I use Ladder Diagram, but when I try the same simple input–output logic in Structured Text, the simulation does not behave as expected. Has anyone experienced this issue or knows what might be causing it?

for the package you net to install 32bit support(to have the native timprovider availble to deploy) sudo apt-get install libc6:i386 Then native Safeplc and native Safetimeprovider should be available to install. Raspi yes - but there is no official package available till now and you need have a rt_preemt patched kernel on the Pi, then it works like charm

Hi, Im struggle with making custom button. The idea is simple grey light bulb after touch (input var) it changes to yellow but shows output var status not switch status. So if light is physically on, switched by physical switch, bulb is also yellow. How to do it?

I've also created a 'Menu" visualization that slides out from left to right. I have TitleBar and Menu Visualizations in the MainScreen (3rd Visualization). I want to have "Screen Name" automatically updated on TitleBar Visualization based on Menu item selected from the "Menu" visualization. Can anyone advise how can I achive this? TIA

Hello, I'm asking for help with installing the license server for Linux SL 4.18.0.0. When I try to install it, I get a message that the WIBUCodeMeter package is missing. I checked the package manager tab to see if the package is installed, and it is - Codemeter 8.40.7120.501. I've checked the CodeMeter Runtime on the target machine, and everything seems to be working fine. One thing caught my eye: the Device Architecture tab says "None" Please help me solve this problem.

I want to cancel the automatic address allocation for all IO mappings. If I directly set the automatic_iec_address in class ScriptIoMapping to False, the address becomes None. So I reset manual_iec_address with itselfs value. It only work with the Input IOMapping . For output, it reports an error: "Invalid address: The channel type 'Output' requires address type '%Q'." I checked the description file ,both accessRight are total same. Does anyone know what causes this?

Hi, My PLC/controller doesn't support OPC UA, so my current plan to create a ringbuffer/circular logger is to connect a raspberry pi to it, use the Network Variable List receiver and sender and raspberry pi codesys runtime to get the variables to the raspberry pi, after which I will use the pi which DOES support OPC UA to get the variables to a python program which logs the desired variables for a certain amount of time for me, would this work? I don't want to spend 50+ euros + licencing fees for...

There is currently a bug with the Raspberry Pi 64 SL where it is unable to Trend Global Retain or PersistantVars. The work around is to use standard Global Variables for Trend Data. This will be patched by Codesys in the near future reference "VIS-6170"

Hi - problem solved. I had 3 version of codesys on system and they didn't like each other. After uninstall all and install again only one version now everything is OK
