Hi, I guess you don't have the right xml file. Download Beckhoff_EtherCAT_BKxxx_MDP.zip from https://download.beckhoff.com/download/configuration-files/io/ethercat/xml-device-description and install these in Device Repository.

I just want to highlight, that we intend to use the codesys runtime on an embedded device that has no possibilites to connect any dongle devices to. Dear Support, I have i950 wants to connect with Beckhoff EtherCAT coupler BK1120. There are 2 GSD files for BK1120. 1. BK1120 without MDP.(EtherCAT ESI Device Description (XML)) 2. BK1120 with MDP. (EtherCAT BKxxx (MDP) configuration files) When connecting the BK1120 with i950, scanned devices detects BK1120 without MDP from ESI No1 above. But the KL1408 & KL2408 not detect because they have ELxxxx IO type. When manually insert BK1120 with MDP, the KL1xx8 is able to add manually also but the error shows and Install Missing Descriptions appears. The questions; 1. Why the error occurs? 2. Can the i950 connect with KLxxxx IO type or not? Regards, Shafiq

When using the FileOpenSave dialog and using the Visu_FbFileListProvider FB as an In/Output I could not manage to detect the difference of pressing the "Load" button on the dialog vs. pressing the "Cancel" button. In both cases, the selected file is updated if the dialog is closed when checking using the Visu_FbFileListProvider.GetSelectedFileName() command. How can I prevent reading or writing of a file when the "Cancel" button was pressed?

I believe the reason that I eventually lose my ability connect is because of exceeding the time limit for demo mode. Still unsure why I cannot update the edge gateway though.

ok now it is clear - this is a single core Pi Zero W. For this device there is no edge device available. But just for working with CODESYS it is not really needed and yes plc runs only for 2h unlicensed.

I think you have already up and running an Edge on the host ( not in the container) please uninstall that edge, then it should work.

if this does not work, you could install the 3.5.20.0 Gateway from the CODESYS Store. https://store.codesys.com/de/codesys-edge-gateway-for-windows.html then it is possible to enable it by righclick inthr task tray
