Hello all, there is my problem. i have a project on a PC A who work properly, I aim to take this project and place it on a Pc B with a blank Codesys installed. All seemd to work, the project is created on the PC B, i create my with with online.create_online_application(project.project.active_application) recover my onlineDevice and try onlinedevice.connect() so that i can use create_live_user_management() but then a problem occure on my connect() saying gateway not configured properly. I have setted my set_credentials_for_initial_user(). when i use the Ui, there is absolutely no problem. an other question, is it possible to use the Start and Stop PLC of codesys Control Systray directly in my python script? So that if it detect that it's stopped, then he automatically start it?

Iv been working with a Deep Sea Electronics DSE840 for about 6 months. I have a development version of my program working with a state machine and a basic gui interface. I went to implement CAN and suddenly the text on the gui on the controller is much larger than before. I could flash old versions of my project and the text was the correct size, but if i renamed the project file, the text displayed would be large. The visualization in CODESYS always shows the expected size, but not the controller. I did a fresh install of CODESYS and even a new project with only one text box, I cant get the text size on the controller to match what is displayed in codesys to match. Any advice?

Try using an Ethernet/IP scanner instead of an adapter, I'm guessing the 2 devices you're trying to communicate with are adapters, you have to have a scanner somewhere and Codesys should be a scanner. I don't know why you're getting the error, you should be able to use your Ethernet port as an EthernetIP adapter (although I've never had a reason to try,) but it's probably not what you wanted to do, unless you're connecting to another PLC that is a scanner. Good luck configuring the devices you're trying to connect to, it will be a lot easier if you have an .EDS file instead of starting with a generic module, even with an .EDS it can be tricky getting the communication working.

If support for a containerized CODESYS runtime with a license isn't feasible, then I've considered an alternative approach: I've purchased and activated a "CODESYS Control Basic S" license on my Windows notebook, where I already have the Codemeter Control Center installed. Upon activation, I can see the CODESYS license as active on my notebook. Subsequently, I followed the instructions provided in this link (https://faq.codesys.com/display/CDSFAQ/How+to%3A+Setup+a+Wibu+Network+Server+Access+for+Licenses) to configure the Wibu runtime in the CODESYS container to access my external license server hosted on my notebook by editing the CODESYSControl_User.cfg file accordingly. However, it's worth noting that I'm still receiving a response from the Licensing Manager indicating that the runtime is persistently searching for a dongle instead of recognizing the soft container. So how can I get my runtime licensed now? Any ideas?

Hello, we are porting a CNC project from codesys 3.5.16 to codesys 3.5.19. The project has lots of CNC programs with variables. now we get hundreds of messages like this. [WARNING] CNC Test SP19: TestCNC SPS: PLC Logic: Application: C0564: A reference to uninitialized variable varCNC is used for initialization of TestCNC_D. Accessing the uninitialized variable may result in unexpected behavior. The objects program_name_D are implicit generated by codesys. I see no way to generated them after the variables. Is there a way to correct the initialization order? We know how to suppress this warning. But we need a clean solution as the warning already saved us in a other nonCNC project. Attached a small demo of the problem.

Does anybody know how to get a specific text from a text list within a program. Obviously it works in a visualization, but because I will have an HMI that has it's own system and I will have to send variables to this HMI via an OPC UA connection, I need to be able to get a text into a string. I tried using the VisuElems like this, but it only returns an empty "" and nothing else. Trying the web-version of trend-data. This seems to be a impressive tool, but I lack/cant find a number of what I would think are important parts. There does not seem to be a way to get away from the dot.notated variable naming in the legend.. A developer might want the dot-notation but an end-customer will surely not. For instance I want to display 12 temperatures, instead of t1, t2 etc.. they will be named. gvl_io.unit[1].trend.temps.t1_a gvl_io.unit[1].trend.temps.t1_b gvl_io.unit[1].trend.temps.t1_c gvl_io.unit[1].trend.temps.t2_a .. gvl_io.unit[1].trend.temps.t4_b.. gvl_io.unit[1].trend.temps.t4_c.. Quite a lot of unnecessary text/data taking space from the actual trend => Is there a way to access/interface the legend-data programmatically so I can change the presentation/naming?

With a machine I'm working with i get a communication error when I'm updating some softstop limits. As soon as I update the code the drives do not want to operate. Using the MC_readStatus I'm receiving errors as soon as i want to start a movement. Using MC_ReadAxisError i see that i receive error 131, no response. With a SMC3_ETC_ReadParameter_CoE i do not recieve any driver errors. Does anyone know how i can figure out what the error is and how to solve it. When i go back to the old software no errors occur. Im working with a legacy machine running a Beijer PLC with some Mitsubishi drives. running on Codesys 3.5 SP10. the runtime version is probably 3.5.3. The drives are all Ethercat Drives (CoE). All using the SM3_drive_ETC libary and the SM3_basic library.

Hi, Would really appreciate your insights in this issue I have. I am currently using a WAGO 750-881 with multiple IO devices. For one of them I already occupied the MODBUS Master configuration tool so I cannot overwrite it for my other devices. I have a total of two serial interfaces WAGO 750-652. The first one is instantiated in COM2 and doesn't need any protocol since the information comes in an specific formatting that need little code to differentiate between needed info. This one is working just fine. The second one is where I have an issue. I have tried to instantiate the port using MODBUS library modb_L05.lib to properly receive the data from an ARDUINO and I am absolutely unable to open the port: Signal DEVICE2.fbModbus.MODBUS_EXT_MASTER.Interface.Com_Port_Ist_Offen is never TRUE, among with all other signals from that interface, while signal DEVICE1.COM2.Com_Port_Ist_Offen is TRUE, and the other signals also read as TRUE or FALSE. I have tried instantiating the second one as the first one, changing COM3 to COM4, I've tried a lot of things but it wont ever open the channel. I don't know if you have any recommendations for me. Hello, I have the same problem now with 3.5.20 Patch 3. Normally it works if I ad in CODESYSControl.cfg: [SysFile] ForceIecFilePath=0 (This told me codesys last time) I try to use the placeholders but without success. Something special is that the Files are not in C:. The Plc Configuration Path is not as usual C:\ProgrammData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlRTEV3\, it's E:\Control.

Just verified the behaviour. Still is the same. It should be attached here. But I also tried the DCF-file with the axis in the lab with the real drive: The MC_Power block never goes out of busy. Had not time to investigate further, though.

I had the FB called via a for loop to call a few instances of my FB I have removed it the for loop and just called them 1 by 1. I have a XY chart in a visualization that is working fine, all lines are presented correctly. When I present the XY chart visualization in a frame, it seemes as no values are recorded, all lines are zero. When i open the visualization containing the XY chart in e!cockpit i see the lines are presented correctly but still not in the frame. Any ideas?

Hi, I have a Beckhoff EL6751 EtherCAT / CANopen gateway which fails on the Canbus when the CANopen_Manager is added. Currently no devices are connected to the EL6751. If I add a device, I get the same issue. If I add a device and connect the bus, I get the same issue. Is there something I am doing wrong? Regards Trevor

Good morning, I'm using a raspberry pi3 as plc with the runtime 4.9.0.0. My program has many of retrain variables but when an update is performed the retrain variables comes back to default values. Is the a way to backups the retrain variables n a csv file? Is still the way to restore them from the csv? Thank you for helping Luca

Is it possible to make a function that checks to see if there are any open dialogs on a given clients. I think VisuDialogs.VisuDlgUtil_IsDialogOpen does this for a given dialog name, but is it possible to do this for any dialog. Appretiate any help Cheers Callum
