I'm looking for a smart and short way to implement initialization of visualization variables depending on the visualization input. For an easy example consider a rectangle which rests at XPos := 0 when the input state is false and at XPos := 50 when the input state is true. My visualization variables look like this: VAR_IN_OUT State : BOOL; END_VAR VAR XPos : INT; END_VAR I put this rectangle via a visualization frame element into another visualization and link a frame reference variable with the state to it. If the variable is true, the rectangle should rest at XPos := 50 and false at XPos := 0 at visualization init but how should I assign the 50 or 0 to the internal visualization variable XPos? I would need some init-methode for the visualization but I dont want a global init-method for such tasks. I want to do it inside of the visualization element but I can't see any solution for this? It would be good to be able to define ST-code within the visualization element which runs cyclic at each VISU_TASK task-cycle then I could just check the input state and change the XPos accordingly. Does someone have a solution?

Objective: I want to dynamically update the content with strings and JPEG images received from a TCP/IP socket. For this purpose, I am exploring the possibility of utilizing the Web Browser feature of the Visualization toolbox. Example: In a standard web browser, entering data:text/plain;charset=utf-8;base64,SGVsbG8gc3RyYW5nZXI= in the URL window will display "Hello stranger" on the webpage. Issue: When attempting to use this method in the Web Browser of the Visualization toolbox, the content does not display as expected. Instead, it shows the error:'Navigation to the webpage was canceled.'. Request: I seek guidance on how to resolve this issue so that the Web Browser in the Visualization toolbox correctly interprets and displays the data URI content. Alternative Solution Welcomed: Or, if it is possible to directly use Codesys Structured Text (ST) variables within an HTML page, this approach would also meet my requirements. Hi, I have a Beckhoff EL6751 EtherCAT / CANopen gateway which fails on the Canbus when the CANopen_Manager is added. Currently no devices are connected to the EL6751. If I add a device, I get the same issue. If I add a device and connect the bus, I get the same issue. Is there something I am doing wrong? Regards Trevor

Hi i have a project where i am communicating with many modbus devices using TCP to serial. This is all working extremely well except when i turn one of the remote devices off. If i leave the auto reconnect on it still doesn't talk to the rmianing devices and if i turn Auto reconnect off it locks up. Any help would be appreciated. Paul.

When I use the FUNCTION_BLOCK ModbusChannel I have to sepcify the integer iChannelIndex It can easily go wrong if one has many channels. It would be better if one could use the name. Is that possible? Attached a snippet of the channel name and the channel index to the left.

After many tests i see that problem comes when serial communication established for modbus rtu. If the slave device not connected we don't see the exception. If the slave device connected at serial port then we have exception about 1 hour after startup and every 10 or 15 minutes. Any suggestion?

If you are really happy with PLCnext engineer, then just use that. There is probably also something in CODESYS that cannot be done in PLCnext engineer. But if you are forced to make something like this in CODESYS, then maybe just use CFC instead of FBD.

OK, I figured out that I can simply define all the sensors as 16 bytes IN/OUT, even if they are not all used. EDIT: The negative effect is that each bit is taken into account as an I/O for the license, even if not used.

Testing Codesys CNC. SMC Interpolator Throws me an error if my code surpass approximately 32000 lines of code. (SMC_CNC_INTERNAL_ERROR) What is the max lines of code SMC Interpoltor can handle ? I've been thinking breaking the code up into smaller sections, but that gives me a lot problems later if i want to use "Blocksearch" etc. I need to run approximately 2000000 lines of code.

Yup, I've been having the exact same issue. A workaround that was working until Visu 4.8.0.0 was using TextList as the type in the frame configuration and then wrapping the text in quotes when configuring it. Im not sure if it will work with variables and I know it does not work if the type is text.

Solution: Disable VISU_USEPROPERTYINFO define Go to Project → Options (or Project → Properties, depending on your CODESYS version). Find the section called Compiler Defines. Look for the define: nginx Copy Edit VISU_USEPROPERTYINFO Delete it from the list, or uncheck it if it’s a checkbox. Save your changes and try compiling the project again. → This is the right approach if you don’t need property handling for visualization elements.

Hello, i am trying to read multiple lines from csv file with caa file library and oscat. I have wrote 7 lines in the csv with separation '$R$L'. In my "extracting values" part I check line feeds and chars. After that I convert my buffer to string with oscat but I'm only able to read the first line from the csv. No matter if I even change start position where I start converting the buffer, I only get the first line. If you want to use the Test Manager, I prefer to start all the tests through the scripts of this manager. So open from there the projects, load it and run it. If you also want to use Python scripts to access CODESYS functionality, while executing a Test Manager script, then also start them from the Test Manager commands.

Hi, which CODESYS Version are you using exactly? Either update to 3.5.21.x if you are on 3.5.20.x if not - add a more secure pw. Seems that on adding the login credentials it is mandatory in 4.16.0.0 -to have complianct to password policy seems a bug that the message not occure.
