Hi, I'm creating a program where I need to handle arrays, like: - Declare lenght variable arrays - [array(1..var) of "sometype"]. This is not possible in pure codesys, right? - Know array lenght, min, max, avg values in runtime - append/delete itens in an array - and so on Is there a library know for this in codesys. Is it possible to build our own libraries using some high level language like python or java script?

Hi geoweil, have you tried to save changed values to remanent area or using a VAR RETAIN? After restart you have to initialize Counter with last remanent value. Depending on changes per cycle and the possibilitiy of your control unit to write remanent storage. Otherwise you need a buffering system to ensure save backup of last PI_Counter value. It depends on your application which CPU speed and RAM size you need. If you think the Control Standard S license is sufficient then my guess is that your selected PC has no problem running your application. There are no more "hardware" based single licenses available anymore, only application based licenses. So this "Raspberry Pi" restriction for home automation is not applicable anymore. I would like to read the ID without visualization or external code in python, only in PLC. Hi guys, I am new to the Visualization. I am having a problem. I have multiple web-panel to use webvisu. I have my software dowwloaded into the one PFC200. There are 3 screens connected to it. I noticed that if I switch page/visualisation on one of the screens, the others will change as well. Three screens are with different URLs that I set in the software. Hello, Recently I upgraded to 3.5.19.50 and have been having errors/issues when doing a download/online change. The message as seen in the attachment pops up. The file in the path is different every time. However when I login again afterwards all works fine. This issue does not happen on older versions. Any clue what the issue could be? I did an reinstall/repair but the issue reappeared again... Thanks in advance!

Hi, I recently got a license for Raspberry Pi, after license activation I made a backup copy of "CMLicenseNew.WibuCmRaU" file to a safe place. Things got complicated and I tried to downgrade OS for some reason after that I tried several times/ways to restore my license with no luck. the specifications are as follows: Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.1 codesyscontrol 4.10.0.0 SDK 3.5.19.30 Logs: **** ERROR: CodeMWriteLicenseFile: 'CMLicenseNew.WibuCmRaU' failed: Container not found or Server dose not support .... I'm getting this error on one of my projects. Searching for it I came across this https://www.codesys.com/fileadmin/data/Images/System/Releaseinformation/Patch-Note-CODESYS-Visualization-4300.html which says it was a bug VIS-1394, fixed in Visualization 4.3.0.0. I'm using a previous visu version, what is the cause of this error, and what can be done to work around it?

Hello, I tried using the CSV Utility SL Example from the CODESYS IIoT Libraries SL. No matter what path I try, I can not get the InitSave to work from CSVWRitersSTExample, line 2. It always gives the error 'CANNOT_OPEN_DIRECTORY'. I am running this on an Windows Azure VM, with Codesys Control Win V3 x64. I added a folder called 'temp' to my C: so that the default 'C:/temp' would work. However it gives CANNOT_OPEN_DIRECTORY. I tried updating to 'C:\temp' with the same result. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Good morning, I am currently working on implementing a display dimmer. I want the display to dim after X minutes. This works so far. The implementation is done via the Linux subsystem, to which a command is sent to dim the display. However, my problem is resetting the timer when input is received. I want the dimming timer to be reset with each click/touch. Unfortunately, I can't find a suitable solution for this. Are there any ways to do this? Codesys v3.5 SP19 Patch 2

I use the function SysFile.SysFileOpen(sFileNamePara, SysFile.ACCESS_MODE.AM_WRITE, pErrorFileOpen); to open and write a file. Since the update from Codesys V3.5 SP17 to V3.5 SP19 Patch 5 it does not work anymore. I first had SysFile.SysFileOpen(sFileNamePara, SysFile.ACCESS_MODE.AM_APPEND_PLUS, pErrorFileOpen); in both versions. hFile_Test is a pointer to byte. It gives an exceptional error when dereferencing the hFile_Test pointer. Edit: I use Codesys on a Raspberry pi

Hi, Similar problem, I have license for Raspberrypi Control MC SL. It didn't work with version 4.10.0.0. I have now instaled new version 4.11.0.0. Raspberrypi Control SL. The same behavior, runtime works sometime several minutes, sometime only several seconds. The second problem is with license. There isn't available any runtime MC SL on Codesys shop, not even older version 4.10.0.0. Is it only temporarily or, MC SL will be not available more for rpi?

Hello everybody, I'm trying to understand the SL control extension package, more specifically, the external IODriver example, because C integration is very easy and I just made my first C component successfully. Ther External IODriver has no documentation and it's not clear how to proceed. Furthermore, there is no information on how to modify the device descriptor, which is necessary to import the device into the Codesys repository. Any advice ? Thank you in advance and best regards.

Dear Forum, I recently updated to the newest Codesys IDE (3.5 SP19 patch 5) The program wouldn't download cause of the amount of OPC-UA server tags (see picture) I'm not planning on using the OPC-UA server and therefore I unchecked the "Support OPC-UA features" checkbox in the symbol configuration. But this didn’t solve the issue of the OPC-UA server exceeding its license. How can I disable the OPC-UA server while still maintaining the symbol configuration. Thank you in advance Alex

I still have the same problem even when updating to CODESYS Recipes 4.3.0.0. My scenario: I'm trying to save/load an array of structs using the Visu: - Execute Command > "SaveRecipeAs" works properly - Execute Command > "LoadWriteRecipe" works not entirely: the structs of array[6] and array[7] should have been empty but were duplicates of array[4] and array[5]... the struct contains 26 variables and the array's length is 30.. Maybe there is a upper limit on recipe variable count?

Hi, I'm trying to get Scaling working on my axis. An increment produces 36.6mm of movement, so I want to put the units in application as 36.6. However the docs say that I need to change bHiresMode as it doesn't show me the option for Precision in the User Interface. I'm thinking that I need to change the precision so I can enter decimal places. How can I do this, or is my thinking wrong? Thanks,

I have two ethernet Ip drives and created Function Blocks for different motions tasks. I am using same FB for both the drives. When I try to execute the relative move start command on FB for both the drives it is not working. However, if I add 1ms second delay between the execution of each drive it is working. Also when I change the rung order it is working for the first drive in the rung. what could be the wrong here?

Is there a way that I can create a variable in a GVL that I can control with logic but a user can not put a force on this variable. I have looked at the access rights but this seems to only limit editing the GVL or POU. This variable will only be assigned a value in one POU but it will be used throughout many other POUs.

Just adding some info regarding the issue above. Logged onto the project using dev3og5 user (see screenshots); appeared to be ok although when attempting to logon to the device message says 'currently not authorized to perform this operation on the device' (screenshot). If user dev3og5 has same permissions as Owner user; why would it not be authorized. I am at a loss; any assistance would greatly be appreciated. Thank you Mike

However, I have encountered difficulties in executing the same for .library types. okay, no ideas. So i made a new fresh image for the raspberry, so far,so good. Licensing the new image was no problem. And, after having trouble while read write files on the raspberry pi, i found the solution for these file operations with the Variable ForceIecFilePath in the CODESYSControl.cfg file. Hi everybody We are currently working on a project with an RS232 serial COM interface and using the CAA SerialCOM library. We have it working fine reading and writing data, although we have found an issue we cannot resolve and any suggestions would be helpful. We have noticed that after a while the RS232 stops working. We have tracked this down to the HANDLE hCom keeps increasing and when this reaches 1023 the COM returns an unknown error "5003". Is there a way to reset this hCom reference? Thanks Richard

Good morning, mecke96. Exactly the same thing happens to me, although I have not done the part of executing a .py file. It only reads the temperature and the counter, but the other values are zero as in your image "no readings". I have tested the MPU6050 device on an Arduino and it works. Could you tell me if you solved it?

I'm installed the CODESYS Control for Linux SL package and am trying to use the Extension API to call a simple C function. When I get to the step to run "make all" on the Linux machine, I get the error: build interface header: out/CmpFirstTestItf.h from CmpFirstTestItf.m4 ERROR: This functionname does not contain _cext (this is mandatory, see help for details): DEF_API(void',CDECL',external_struct__fb_init',(external_struct_fb_init_struct *p)',1,0x1F77E075,0x00000001) Why does "Generate Runtime System Files" create a function that does not have cext in the name? What am I missing?
