Hi, Communication with the ADS1115 is actually simple. 1. write config 2. write address pointer 3. read conversation register The ADS1115 works like a multiplexer. This means that you do this individually for each channel that you want to read. e.g: Channel 1: write config > write address pointer > read conversation register Channel 2: write config > write address pointer > read conversation register Channel 3: write config > write address pointer > read conversation register Channel 4: write config > write address pointer > read conversation register then you start again from the beginning You can also omit individual channels or read only one. It doesn't matter. I have written the driver so that I can also use it on the TCA9548. The driver is from Stefan Dreyer. In your case, the driver works and communication with the ADS1115 is running. As you can see, the cfgWrong:=FALSE If you could not write or read data, cfgWrong:=TRUE; This means that either something is wrong with your ADS1115 or you have connected something incorrectly. Question: what voltage do you want to measure?

Reopening this thread as I need to make a few images visible depending on the value of a variable. However, in the properties of the image I do not have the option to make the image visible (see attached image). I´m using Codesys V3.5 SP19. However, when I use V3.5 SP17 I have the option to make the images visible. Can someone help me achieve this with V3.5 SP19? EDIT: Fixed. Just had to uncheck Support client animations in the Visualization manger settings

Hello good morning everyone I would like to ask a question, is it possible to directly connect a device that only contains modbus RTU communication through an R-45 connector, directly to the PC? Or would you need an intermediate device to achieve communication? It would be of great help to me because I cannot achieve communication between the Codesys simulator plc and a Fuji Frenic mini VFD, please help me if anyone has had the same experience. I'm not really sure what you are trying to do, but maybe you are referring to using the CmpCharDevice library? When you "open" the connection to a device, you can pass flags. What helped me is to set the non-blocking flag. Hello All! Having a strange issue. When adding a library, I'm unable to search. Each time a window pops up 'creating the search index' and then has 0 results. I have the same behavior when using the library repository and pressing the 'Find' button. I wonder if there is a way to reset or fix this issue? It is making it very difficult to search and find proper libraries to add to my project. Much appreciated.

Hi everybody, I am looking for a solution to send files, for example, to an ftp or a cloud. I can't use oscat library because 64 bit controller are not supported. Therefore, I see that the IIoT library has some functions that might help me to implement this sending process in codesys. Does anyone have any examples of how to do this? Maybe the CODESYS HMI is a good solution. https://store.codesys.com/en/codesys-hmi-sl-bundle.html Run this on the remote main control station. In the HMI application you can add the data source manager and to this manager you can add Data sources. A data source has a reference to the PLC you want to connect to and can get access to the variables of the PLC application. You can then use these variables in the visualization of the HMI application.

An interesting remark for CODESYS Support. I found this after looking through the Runtime Deploy Tool messages when I connect to an AMD64 architecture Successfully Connected to Target ( {MyIP} - AMD64 ) when I connect to an ARM64 architecture (Raspberry Pi5) Successfully Connected to Target ( {MyIP} - ) As clearly seen in the attached .png, the AMD64 target is detected, while the ARM64 target architecture is not detected (displayed). I assume that this is the reason why the pulldown menu isn't populated correctly.

Hello everyone, I’m integrating Codesys with Kepserver using the Kepware driver for Codesys, and I need to configure a user account with the minimum necessary privileges to read and write to the tags on the PLC, without using the internal OPC UA server of Codesys. However, despite not assigning the Modify permission, Kepware still allows writing to the tags. What are the minimum required permissions to ensure that writing is only allowed when necessary, and how can I prevent other permissions from being overridden? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, if I try to use ERR_Ok in my code to check whether the file is open correctly or not, I get an error "Identifier ERR_OK not recognized", I can use plain 0 (zero) instead. This stems from if I turn on everything, SA stops reporting issues in the message log when the list gets over 600ish issues. Once we have done an initial clean up of code this wont be an issue, but I'm trying to get a baseline to track improvement.

This seems to be because when creating 'OPC UA' with 'Communication Manager', the 'IdentifierType' of 'NodeId' cannot be configured as' String 'type. This issue is not an isolated case. For this issue, CODESYS seems to have not provided guidance to users on how to proceed. We can provide feedback on this issue in the 'My Question' section of the 'CODESYS Store' to make CODESYS take it seriously.

INIT, OP, PREOP, etc.. ) I was trying to use the GetDeviceDiagnosisInfo method from the IoConfig_Globals, but there is no info available on the Web with a simple example; does someone have a link to some tutorial or anything else ? Hello, At work, I use Codesys V3.5 SP10. I wanted to run some tests with the SVN module, which I kept installed (without actually using it in the end). However, when I tried to launch Codesys today, I was informed that a license was missing. I suspect that this is due to the SVN module. If you are switching a frame based on the "Switch Frame Variable", then just use a variable that is accessible to your program to set your active frame. If you're trying to see which is the active visualization, then use the "CurrentVisu" variable. Note you'll need to enable this by checking it on in the Visualization Manager settings. If it's neither of those, you'll need to be more clear on how you're project is set up.

In that case, the best thing to do might be to track the offset in a separate variable of your logic, then when you provide target positions, make your target position use the tracked offset as below: ActualTargetPosition := (TargetPosition + MyOffset) MOD 360; Although, upon further reflection, you'll still have the same cycle time issues. You might be able to break your code into multiple tasks to reduce the cycle time, or use an Event task to capture the offset position?

I'm trying to load a .package into Codesys 3.5.21, but the package is intended to only work with Codesys 3.5.18.0 and is configured with dependencies on the specific versions of other packages included with 3.5.18.0, and 21 has newer versions so the package will not install. I would like to install the package anyway to try and get things working on a newer Codesys version, since for some reason the installer for .18 errors out and doesn't fully work in my environment, but .21 seems to work fine.

Is it possible to use MC_Home without enabling the drive (MC_Power)? On the drive the homing method 35 (Homing on current position) has to be executed. The drive has to stay disabled due to safety. This is explicitly allowed by the drive. Unfortunately MC_Home reports the error SMC_REGULATOR_OR_START_NOT_SET when executed. Are there other options to start homing, if not with MC_Home?

Dear @gseidel, @tk096, I noticed that with SoftMotion V4.18.0.0, if a new axis is added to the project, the ramp type selection defaults to "Quadratic". In all previous versions, the velocity ramp type selection was "Trapezoidal". This causes some unexpected issues in projects with SoftMotion version V4.18.0.0 for newly created or newly added axes to existing projects. Is it possible to reconsider this situation in the next update and set the velocity ramp type to "Trapezoid" by default again? Best Regards, Imdat

Hello I am using FTP_CLIENT to donwnload/Upload a text or CSV file from FTP server. UpLoading from PLC to FTP server is working without any problem but when I try to download from FTP server I get an error. The FTP_CLIENT Block allows me to add URL but I do not where I can specify the direcory to save the downloaded file... is there anyone has an experience with downloading from FTP server using FTP_CLIENT block. Did anybody have a solution for this problem? I have the same issue and it occured as i wanted to continue work after the weekend. On Friday the simulation was working fine and on Monday thise error appears. There should be a more specific fault description to be honest. As I am writing I try to repair the installation and hope, that this will work. Still I am frustrated, because I don't know where to look for eliminating this fault. I am using CODESYS 3.5 SP19 Patch 5.

Good morning, I am currently working on implementing a display dimmer. I want the display to dim after X minutes. This works so far. The implementation is done via the Linux subsystem, to which a command is sent to dim the display. However, my problem is resetting the timer when input is received. I want the dimming timer to be reset with each click/touch. Unfortunately, I can't find a suitable solution for this. Are there any ways to do this? Codesys v3.5 SP19 Patch 2

Hi, I have the user situation represented in the image and I would like CustomerAdmin to only be able to modify/add/delete users relating to the CustomerUser group and nothing else. How can I do? It would be enough not to display the users belonging to the SuperAdmin, Technician1 and Technician2 groups and also the related groups in the UserMgmtConfig dialog box. Can anyone help me?
