Hello @eschwellinger, Why not using one of those 2 folders: C:\ProgramData\CODESYS C:\Users\Public\Documents\CODESYS The main reason is depending on the company and the user right, the end user may not have the access to use those folders. Also having a non version dependent folder may help if the end user uninstall a previous version and forgot all its sample project where in this previous version installation. Thanks.

Maybe the CODESYS HMI is a good solution. https://store.codesys.com/en/codesys-hmi-sl-bundle.html Run this on the remote main control station. In the HMI application you can add the data source manager and to this manager you can add Data sources. A data source has a reference to the PLC you want to connect to and can get access to the variables of the PLC application. You can then use these variables in the visualization of the HMI application.

Hi mate, With this snippet i was able to see the lastusage variable count, but it would not iterate between clients? i was only able to access the data of the target visu. it threw an error with the array of pointers stating it was not able to convert etc. also when i tried it with the while loop it created an endless loop and crashed the program. any ideas? Hello, Is it possible to get the string returned from the ENUM JSONType? I read that with regular enumerations you can add '{attribute 'to_string'}' and access it. However, this is from the compiled library, so I can not add that attribute. When I try to use TO_STRING(JSONType) it returns the integer as a string. Ex. jsonType :=TO_STRING(pJSONData^._aJSONData[i].eType); gives '8' instead of NONE Thanks!

Hello, I'm facing the same problem, I can access the FLIR AX Series camera through the IP converter software (go2rtc). In the CODESYS 3.5.19 patch 7 software, the streaming does not appear in the webvisu even using the URL "http://xxx.xxx.x.xxx:1984/stream.html?src=flirr". I used the "RTC" and "MJPG" modes. HW: PFC200 750-8217/600-000. FW: v27. If anyone has a solution, could you help us?

I'm curious about the impact of having profinet and Ethercat (specifically softmotion so frame at start of task?) running together. Since it's advised to access the data from the bus task should have both profinet io and ethercat on the same task? Are there any implications around this one should be aware of especially since the frame at task start is just, so far as I'm aware, an ethercat thing? Thanks

@eschwellinger do you have any examples of using a USB barcode scanner? I have read through the forums here and I am unable to find how to get the barcode data to populate in a text field without having to first click into the text field to activate it. Is there a library that allows you to access the barcode data? I am really new to this in general any help is greatly appreciated, hopefully you have a pretty clear example

Hello, Recently I upgraded to 3.5.19.50 and have been having errors/issues when doing a download/online change. The message as seen in the attachment pops up. The file in the path is different every time. However when I login again afterwards all works fine. This issue does not happen on older versions. Any clue what the issue could be? I did an reinstall/repair but the issue reappeared again... Thanks in advance!

I have a problem with the file transfer library. Namely, it does not work via the codesys server. (error 5; overtime, and visualization resets). They operate mostly in local chains. I tested different browsers and VPN from the router. It works everywhere, except through access from the codesys automation server. The client, having many machines under one account, prefers to keep it that way rather than use an individual VPN just to download a backup. Does anyone have an idea what the problem is? Sylwester M.

Is it possible to get scroll bars to show when displaying a web visualization in V2.3? I've got some big pages that I can scroll around when using the in-built visualization but when they are displayed in IE i can't seem to scroll around. All I can do it drag the window bigger onto my other display to get access to the extra area. I've also tried zooming the page out in IE but this doesn't seem to work at all.

i know, this is the reason for us either. PLC-Handler is to big, and only available with additional Contracts/Costs. OPC-UA is to slow for us. As described, there is a solution available, but im not allowed to post them here. i would prefer you send a message at codesys store by "have a question" or similar called. Not sure. Or, if an Codesys-Official Member allows to share that informations, i can give you the right hints.

I have enabled: [CmpWebServerHandlerV3] AllowFileTransferServices=1 In this case, I can see the login page when the web panel connects to the device. Hi Tim. Not quite correct. What i'd like, is when you place the FB in prog, i choose a block NTC10k, and name this RT401. What i'm trying to do, is to get the name RT401 automaticly into the FB, so i can put this into the string i pass in a struct. So in var in POU, i saw this a place i could do this, RT401: NTC10k(Tag:='RT401'), but i can't get this to work. I shurly must have had something like this in FB: FUNCTION_BLOCK NTC10k String TAG But it's here where I'm stuck...

Thank you so much. This worked. Waht im trying to do here is to automatically tag each sensors, valves and so on. There is a preatty nasty tag system i working on. "_320" is not alloved. I can have a tag "+4f=320.004-RT001V" In codesys I want to build the FB in folders. -4f | --320 | --001 This is the system structure. Inside here is all of the sensors and so on. But with Codesys, I cannot tag this like this. So what I'm trying to do now is to Make a folder for the building "4f" and one for the system "320", and a POU _001. Is there a way in init to get folder names?

Hello, In my projects, I'm following this recommendation about the rule names in Codesys https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Development%20System/_cds_rules.html, so I always use backtick identifiers, not only for variables, but also for the object names. However, I have noticed that in the current version of Codesys, when adding Visu object, it is not allowed to used these identifiers in the name. This is very different from all other objects like, folder names, POU names, Variable list names etc. I wonder if there is some hidden settings I can use to enable backtick identifiers in the Visu object names? For example; When the method in the link is called, let's say the defined string length is 19. Hi In the POU section of my project I have created a Fan function block and defined an alarm group template for this FB with one alarm (Motor fault). In the PLC program I define two instances of the fan function block. When going to the alarm configuration and pressing "Create or update alarm instances", I get two alarms listed. So far so good. However, when I start my program and check the alarm table in the visualization I only see one alarm, even if both are active. Am I doing something wrong, or is it not possible to define alarms on a function block level and get one set of alarms per instance of the function block?

Hello everyone, I wanted to write here because it is a similar and the most up-to-date topic. I want to connect to CoDeSys Win V3 x64 - 3.5.19.50 with OPC UA using WinCC Advanced V17. (Or to a PLC with CoDeSys Version 4.10.0.0) My settings are exactly the same as the previous comment. I even tried many different settings. I can access all CoDeSys OPC UA variables via TIA Portal IDE and add them to my HMI tags. When WinCC RT Advanced is started, it gives a warning that the connection could not be established and does not update the variables. I can connect to Inovance AM600 using CoDeSys Target version 3.5.11.50. (The same version Win x64 is also connected.) However, a security setting in the current versions prevents me. I would be very happy if those who have up-to-date experience on this issue and find a solution share it. The CoDeSys Security Settings which I can access variables with TIA Portal: CommunicationPolicy: POLICY_BASICSHA256SHA256 CommunicationMode: ALL Activation: Activated UserAuthentication: ENABLED Server Certificate: Valid until 2034 Greetings.
