I want to ask some questions about this topic. The IIoDrvEIPAcylicServices Interface has the IoDrvSendUnconnectedMessage Method. And there is a struct (EIP_SendUnconnectedMessage) for this service. But there is no information about how to implement to project, and if it is successful, does it send a message with 0x52 Unconnected_Send Service Code or not? If that is not a solution, how can I set the Unconnected_Send Explicit Message struct on Codesys? Also how can I send explicit message with route path?

Der Bus läuft, das Device befindet sich im Zustand "Operational" aber es werden keine Daten von der Soft-SPS empfangen. Ich benutze aktuell eine nicht lizenzierte Version von CoDeSys Control for Linux ARM64SL. Normalerweise sollte die Demo-Version uneingeschränkt laufen - also kann ich davon ausgehen, dass es sich um einen Programmierfehler handelt oder ist die Feldbusfunktion ohne Lizenz doch in irgendeiner Form eingeschränkt verfügbar (außer dem 30 Minuten Limit nach Reboot)?

However the docs say that I need to change bHiresMode as it doesn't show me the option for Precision in the User Interface. Hi guys, Recently, I am working at the Dynamic I/Os mapping feature in Ecockpit or Codesys v3.5. I have been trying the libraries. However, it looks like it will not work as I wanted. I want to build the PLC which can detect all the I/Os itself and from there, I can do something on these channels. For example, the current setup is one digital input card, one digital output card and one analogue input card. Then, I want to add one more card into the setup e.g. one more digital input. Then, wago screen can detect this and we can assign them to tasks for example to control digital output. May I know is it possible ? Kind regards

Hi, My problem is with raspberry pi 4 with 2 GB ram,. Install codesys is correct but runtime works only few seconds or I can connect with device few seconds. I can ping raspberry and in system info I can see " !!!! Warning: no runtime license - running in demo mode(~2 hours)" but it is 2 minutes after runtime. When I press Start runtime I have another few seconds when I can connect to raspberry. After this time I couldn't find device. Of course, reapet start runtime works every time on few second. Raspberry is new and works with fresh install raspberry os 32 bit. Where should I start looking for solve of my problem ?

Im using a pointer as input for a FB and for convenience I like to use 'referenced' variable internally. I use this setup in methods which works because internal variables are instantiated for each call. In a FB these variables are instantiated and initiated for the first call only. Is there a pragma/attribute available that changes this behaviour to mirror a 'method'-call?

And even if I try to add the IoDrvFB with lib, I get and error, something like: "failed to load IoDrvFB driver". And what about the book of codesys that written by Gary Pratt? Is there information about system libs and drivers in this book more clearly? Thank you :)

Hi Dear All, I'm using my raspberry PI4 as a CoDeSyS PLC (Build from scratch with custom electronics). I was able to implement all fieldbuses with the exception of Modbus Serial. I'm using the internal Port (GPIO) and I configured it in /etc/Codesyscontrol_user.cfg the following away: [SysCom] Linux.Devicefile.1=/dev/ttyUSB0 Linux.Devicefile.2=/dev/ttyS0 I'm using COM2 on Master configuration. I'm using a interface board from TTL/RS485 (bidirectional board), and it's works perfectly with other devices but not in CoDeSyS. I'm able to send data with python script and read it on my pc using putty, but when I use a modbus slave simulator to interface with codesys I always get red icons on master and slave. (Please find image attached). I'm pretty shure that this might be a bad parameter on my CoDeSyS runtime configurstion file. Can someone help me? I'm stuck and this is for my master degree certification.

I installed the runtime and the gateway, and I can see the pi in the communication settings. But cannot log in. I have checked the status of the pi with sudo systemctl status codesyscontrol and it is running. I have enabled traffic to and from the pi with iptables and checked the logs and all looks good. I just cannot connect through the codesys ide. Can anyone help me before I lose my mind?

If support for a containerized CODESYS runtime with a license isn't feasible, then I've considered an alternative approach: I've purchased and activated a "CODESYS Control Basic S" license on my Windows notebook, where I already have the Codemeter Control Center installed. Upon activation, I can see the CODESYS license as active on my notebook. Subsequently, I followed the instructions provided in this link (https://faq.codesys.com/display/CDSFAQ/How+to%3A+Setup+a+Wibu+Network+Server+Access+for+Licenses) to configure the Wibu runtime in the CODESYS container to access my external license server hosted on my notebook by editing the CODESYSControl_User.cfg file accordingly. However, it's worth noting that I'm still receiving a response from the Licensing Manager indicating that the runtime is persistently searching for a dongle instead of recognizing the soft container. So how can I get my runtime licensed now? Any ideas?

My topic is more of academic nature, I would like to implement an XOR-operation with four inputs on my own (without the predefined XOR-operator) in a function block diagram (FBD). I have two proposals. One works fine and the other one is just an idea, but I do not know, if it is possible to code it in CODESYS V3.5 SP18 in form of a FBD. Here the one that works: And here an idea, which I have not managed to code it as an FBD: Any ideas? Is the 2nd diagram a correct interpretation of the coding task? And is there a way to implement it in form of an FBD in CODESYS V3.5 SP18? Followup (08-Nov-2024): Also in the current version of CODESYS (V3.5SP20Patch3) I have not managed to connect the existing blocks. In the alternative SPS-IDE PLCnext Engineer it is possible.

I have not gotten to the bottom of this yet no. I have double check that the variables are correct linked. When online with the program I can see the button and rung going true for the move instruction, yet it does not change. Forcing the bit in the program does change the value in Groov View. I am kind of at a loss here, especially since the other POU(For the pumps) does the same thing fine.

Hello Vincent, I don't have 75 channels but it works for me as described above without any problems. There is also a parameter MAX_MODBUS_CHANNELS in the library parameters for the IoDrvModbusTCP module. The default value there is 100. Perhaps you are reaching the limit there? The value can be adjusted accordingly. I assume that this value is not accepted in the input dialogue and therefore the 'fixed' limit value 10 is used.

I have this error where the pou doesn't run even for simple programs like contact and a coil if i remove the pou from the task and put another one it works for one run then it stops working again in the photo we can see a contact is on but the coil connected to it is still not on and the device is in run mode I had this issue again and again any help

Hi, I would like to divide a project into multiple applications - as a minimum: one handling visualization and Alarm Manager, one handling I/O and plant control logic. But how to exchange variables between the applications? What have you done to get such a solution? In versions 3.5.19 and earlier, you can have Child applications, where the children can access a GVL in the Parent application. Children apps is no longer possible in 3.5.20 - but you can have 'sibling' apps - Several apps directly under PLC Logic, that is. But how do they best communicate? The Communication Manager / Data Sources Manager is sort of possible via OPC UA, but it seems like overkill and with some limitations - for example no ARRAY OF STRUCT possible this way. If you have separate devices in your project, you can exchange data via 'CODESYS ApplicationV3', but not other applications in the same device (see attachment Datasources.png). You can do it via 'Select the project type'->'Other Project' and select the same project file, but this leads to crashing the Development system when working with the variables afterwards. It would be great to hear your thoughts / experiences on this topic - Bjarne
