Hi everyone, I just created a very simple library without any code and, added it to my very simple project. after adding this library, I get an error when I try to open "Symbol Set" in "OPC UA Server" in "Communication Manager". Here is the code of my POU in the library: FUNCTION_BLOCK POU VAR eCommand : (CMD_NONE:=0, CMD_RESET:=-1) INT := CMD_NONE; END_VAR Attached is the error that I get. I also noticed that by removing the enumeration variable above (eCommand), I can open the "Symbol Set" again. Anybody has any idea why this error is raised and how could I use enumeration variables without error in "OPC UA Symbol Set"?

I am using CODESYS v3.5 SP20 Patch 3 / Control for BeagleboneBlack SL v4.13 and after some time the OPC UA Server crashes. However, Runtime still works without any issues. The events leading up to the OPC server crash are the most suspicious: 1) Mutex deadlock detected - owner thread died, and 2) Runtime received SIGABRT. And it seems very similar with this topic except used versions - issues should be fixed with previous SP's. I can't seem to find any information about these events. Need some pointers in the right direction on how I can fix this problem.

Hello guys, I have the following problem with the Codesys visualization (4.6.0) and Codesys V3.5.20.20. I would like to use my own HTML5 elements for my visualization. To do this, I have to select the option “Support client animations and overlay of native elements” in the visualization manager. But with the selection of this option, the visu has a massive loading delay when changing frame content. This happens even if I have not even added HTML5 elements. However, if this option is deactivated, then changing the content of the frames works without any problems, it loads instantly. I have already tried to change various refresh rates but without success. Have any of you experienced this and been able to fix it?

Hi there! I'm testing out modbus TCP/IP for my home brewery, using Wago PFC200 as both slave and master. I'm using Wago library WagoAppPlcModbus. Holding registers, input registers' and discrete inputs works fine, but when trying to write multiple coils, it doesn't work. Any idea what I'm doing wrong here? Attached is a screenshot of my code. I tried both using bit mapping and without. If I change to FC05, and write only 1 coil at the time, it works fine. But I want to write all at the same time.. Any help is very appreciated :)

Hi! I'm having issues with my applications failing to boot up after the hardware getting restarted by the customer. I've attached a picture of the related log lines in the PLC log. I'm running this on a windows server. The version I'm currently running is CoDeSys win V3 x64 3.5.19.50 Is there any way to get more information why it's failing to boot? I've had this issue on several versions of the runtime. I don't think it's version related but I don't know. All I know is that sometimes when the client gets a power outage or something that kills the machine some of my applications fail to boot. Any help is deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I have encountered a very strange and non descriptive error when creating libraries. Basically, when user just create a new CODESYS library, and then just add Text List, save build with no errors and then try to save as compiled library, the following error would be generated: "The library documentation export error" and nothing more, just like shown in the attachment. Of course I have installed package CODESYS Library Documentation Support v 4.6.0.0 I'm Using Codesys 3.5.20 Patch 2 Does anybody have any suggestion about the cause of this error or any advice on how to troubleshoot further?

When I created a new project in CODESYS using the "Standard Project" template and then added a Visualization, I was receiving the C0138 error during compilation. This issue persisted even with a new, completely empty project. A Quick and Effective Solution (My Method): After many attempts, I solved the problem as follows: From the File -> New Project menu, I selected the "HMI Project" template directly, instead of the "Standard Project" template. After creating the project with this template, I added my POUs, Tasks, and programs (e.g., Ladder, ST). Using this method, the project compiled successfully without any errors. So, my question is: are there any other solutions besides this method?

Hello, I am working on an application where I need to remap PDOs to a different CANopen object during runtime depending on what value is at a specific register. I have gotten to the point where I put the device into Preoperational State using the CIA405.NMT function. I then reconfigure the PDO 180x and 1a0x obejcts usings SDOs to point to a new canopen object on the device however when I go to restart the Device from PREOP to OP using the CIA405.NMT function the device is reset back to the original configuration as per the initial setup. I am wondering is there any way to change the PDOs at runtime is there some more functionaility I can access to do this. Any direction is appreciated!

Hello all, I am working in a project in which there are multiple Modbus TCP slaves. I need to be able to change the IP addresses of those devices from the HMI and I was planning to use the process depicted here: https://faq.codesys.com/display/CDSFAQ/Modbus+TCP+Slave%3A+Dynamic+Setting+of+the+IP+Address I can see the port number is what is used to specify which slave device we want to modify the IP address of. This said, can I freely set arbitrary port numbers to each device? I mean, can I set the first device to be at port 502, the second one at port 503... Any drawback or restriction? Is there any other way to reference to the device without having to change the port numbers? Thank you all in advance.

Hi everyone, so a little update to this, I've come back to this project in the new year, and got it working. Yeah!, However, now with the new licensing setup, I need a new SoftMotion license, but it doesn't seem to be compatible with the previous Raspberry Pi SL license. Has anyone had any luck with Raspberry Pi and SoftMotion_Lite? Specifically the licensing of such? My customers new installation needs to be rebooted every 30min which is causing headaches! Another option is to not use the SoftMotion function blocks, and control the EtherCat amplifier directly, but I'm not sure how to do so. Does anyone have a specific example project of how to control a servo without the use of the SoftMotion function blocks? Thanks everyone for any assistance rendered. It's very much appreciated! Toby

Thank you very much for your time and replay! Sounds like a good idea. Unfortunately, I have no other option to run the code from the running plc. So, I can’t stop any services. If anyone has the same problem, I've gotten a little closer to understanding it: Sometimes the copied files are empty after the restart. The update code checks if there are any empty files. Before I turn off the device, everything is okay. But after starting, some files are suddenly empty and that cause the problems. I don't know why this happens.

Hello, I am using the CODESYS IIoT Libraries SL MQTT Publish. Does this publish block only support publishing STRINGS as a readable format? I can publish ENUM, STRUCT, BOOL; however, MQTT Explorer will only display strings. When I use Wireshark, I can see that it is publishing something, but it looks to be publishing a serialized version which is a bunch of 0s or random text. If so, is there any way to deserialize this information back into a readable format? See pictures, where I have a BOOL TRUE that gets published as 001. Then see where I publish a STRUCT and it's an incomprehensible combination of 0s - only the string variable is displayed. Or, is it expected that you convert everything to a string before publishing? Any help is greatly appreciated! :)

I am trying to show a PDF in a WebBrowser element. I have the file saved to the drive of the HMI/PLC. I am linking it in the URL parameter of the WebBrowser using the following directory link. 'http://localhost:8080/$$sdcard$$/FileName.pdf'. This allows for the program to download without any errors. When I navigate to that screen it is just a white box and nothing shows. I attempted putting the same link in the show parameter and I get a loading icon on my cursor when monitoring the HMI with my PC. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, I am running Codesys Runtime by purchasing 'Codesys control for raspberry pi MC SL', I am trying to use the Variables from my GVL's. Few of the variables used as a Pushbutton form the Visualization. These 'BOOL' Variable getting unlatched automatically even though there is no write function in the Overall project. All of them are 'Read' functions, at the same time few other BOOL variable behaviors are seems to be fine. I have tried, clean all and download, serval time restarted the hardware. Happy to share any any information. Your input to resolve this issue would be highly appriciated. Version Details: codesyscontrol 4.8.0.0, armhf codesyscontrol based on SDK 3.5.19.0

Hello everyone, I just installed Codesys SP19 Patch 4 on Windows 11 and every time I open Codesys I get an error that says (Attached image): 'One or more issues ocurred with the current versio profile. Please contact the vendor to resolve these problems. The plug-in {....} (Exactly 4.15.0.0) is required by the current version profile., but has not been installed. It is highly recommended that the tools is terminated. Do you wanto to terminate now?' I cannot install any package since I get this error everytime I open or try to install any package. Hello, We are trying to access remotely a PLC (ifm 711S) and a HMI (ifm CR1077). Both are connected to a Teltonika RUT200 router. We establish the connection with OpenVPN Connect and can ping both controllers. We have a laptop that, most of the time, will allow Codesys connection to the controllers, but we have several other computers that are unable to connect, although all of them can ping successfully. We cannot find any difference in the configuration or software installed from one PC to another. If we connect to the router by WIFI, instead of VPN, all the computers work fine. We know that scanning the network will not work over a remote connection, so we input the controller IP directly. Has anyone had a simlar problem and can offer any hint on what to check to meke the connection run?

I had an issue aswell, I was trying to use docker and got stuck on the specific line ' Downloading https://download.microsoft.com/download/9/5/A/95A9616B-7A37-4AF6-BC36-D6EA96C8DAAE/dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe' within install2.sh - which is actually from the https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Winetricks/winetricks/master/src/winetricks, winetricks_selfupdate(). Would love to know if anyone has a known solution. Only other thing I can think is to download winetricks +.net, update the winetricks to point to the downloaded .net? Granted Im not too savy with Docker so I have been struggling on figuring that part out- would love any suggestions!

Hi everyone, With the latest version of Codesys, it’s now possible to import DBC files directly into the J1939 Manager, which is great. However, I’m trying to achieve the same thing programmatically and can’t find any scripting functions related to import_dbc or any host_parameter that would let me configure PGNs and signal mappings automatically. So far, I’ve managed to add the J1939 Manager and an ECU, and I can pass the DBC database to it, but I’m stuck when it comes to adding the signals. Has anyone figured out if this can be done through scripting? (Attached is an illustration of what I am trying to accomplish programmatically). Thanks in advance.

Hi bertus, I cannot see any problem in the code you posted. Just some ideas: What is the value of D_ANGLE_TOL? - Do you need the assignment bAbort := NOT bDecoder? Does it help to leave it out? Any errors (e.g. SMC_SmoothPath.Error/ErrorID) or PLC log messages? What if you comment out SMC_SmoothMerge and SMC_LimtiDynamics, is corner smoothing still not working? Is bDecode written from a different task (e.g. visu)? Then I would recommend to assign to a local variable (bDecodeLocal := bDecode) and use that for all FBs. Otherwise, FBs might see different values of bDecode in a single cycle, which will cause problems. Regards, Georg

Hi erveyone, Rau here, first time asking on CODESYS Forge: When working with my servodrives, a special behaviour is required on dsp402 0x60B8 object, a control that is not supported by MC_TouchProbe. For this reason, I'd like to ask: Anyone knows if there is any way to bypass or change the softmotion axis writting into 0x60B8 object? My main problem is that MC_TouchProbe.TriggerInput.iTriggerNumber only allows to choose between TP 1 and TP 2 (not both at the same time). iTriggerNumber only allows values [0, 1, 2, 3], other values triggers an error in the FB, wether SMC_TP_COMM_ERROR for values [4, 5, 6, 7] and SMC_TRIGGER_OUT_OF_RANGE with any other value. I think I understand my problem. They are most probably related to configuration of the network. When I use DHCP for the unit to my router it all works. However when using static IP I have not managed to reach functioning state. Trying to replicate the situation on my desk. Having a static IP on the "debian host" and a connection to my computer which then routes traffic on to internet. I have entered settings for gateway and netmask. I can ping from my "debian plc host" to internet and also do "curl google.com" so traffic seems to find its way through and back, still "Automation server" will not find the gateway. Any hints how a manual configuration should be done? Is it possibly a "firewall" issue of my "normal router"? Thanks for any help! Per
