Post by elektron785 on CAN-Bus in Demo-Version CODESYS Forge talk (Post)

Post by s1ack on PFC200 Will soft-container & IIoT license survive a firmware update? CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
I have an IIoT License activated on a PFC200 with older firmware 2.08.32 (11). If I flash it to the latest available 4.05.10 (27) does the license get destroyed? I have a back up file '3SLicenseInfo.tar'. But this looks quite a bit different form the backup I got from more modern firmware... 'CMLicenseNew.WibuCmRaU'. Can the new license manager restore it from the old .tar?

Post by eschwellinger on License problem gateway CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
most important information are missing: Which CODESYS Version? Which runtime version? Which plc type (manufacturere).. Not all plc manufacturer already support application based licenses. From your pictures I see you have activated 4 axis Motion (which is an applications based license type) does only work on plc's which do support this.

Hello Zol6, Have you solved this issue? I use Festo PLC CPX-E-CEC-C1 to create alarm monitoring project. In CODESYS V3.5-SP18 I used the Alarm Storage object and have the same problem. Is it the PLC that is not compatible or the version of the library is not match? Best, wb16

Post by mos89p on CodeSysControlWinV3x64 CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello Check: on the latest version the location change: If the PLC is started with the "CODESYS Control Win SysTray PLC Control", it runs in the Windows user account "LocalSystem" and therefore the effective working directory is "C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\CODESYS\" or "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\CODESYS\". An administrator account is required to access these folders

Post by lukebouchard on IFM-Sensor ADC READ CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Get a different sensor that is 0-10V and 0-350 Bar. There is nothing you can reasonably do to boost the range of the sensor, and the PLC will only ever be 0-10V. Take away is to always be careful to match the sensor and PLC input ranges in the future.

Post by dkugler on User management CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
If the PLC is equieped with a USB socket it's possible to copy the user management file via IEC code to a USB stick and restore it at the new plc. The file is located there: /PlcLogic/visu/app_visuusermgmtdb.csv I use this to reset the user management to default in case of the customer has changed passwords and lost it.

Post by cdutz on Problems connecting to Codesys 4.9.0.0 runtime on my Wago PFC200 CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Turns out I managed to get a connection to my PLC. It seems that a few weeks ago Wago released something with version 4.3.3(25). So I reset my PLC to Factory-Reset, set it to the 192.168.1.17 IP and changed the IP to the one I wanted with the Wago EthernetSettings tool. Then updated the latest firmware using the WAGOupload tool. Now the PLC came back up without a PLC runtime running, so in the Web-tool I wen't to the "Configuration"/"PLC Runtime" and selected the runtime version "CODESYS V3". I uninstalled all Codesys versions and installed the version from the download package of Wago together with all the packages the bundle provided. After creating a new project I didn't select the old PFC200 runtime, but one of the dozens of new device profiles, that it now listed. With these settings I was then able to connect to my PLC. Now I hope I'll get the existing project that I had ported to this new structure. Sorry for the noise. Chris

Post by wildcard on Modbus Client Request Not Processed CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi, does anyone has a solution for this issue. I've the same problem. I've implemented a very simple client based on the Modbus Examples and connected the soft PLC to a Modbus Simulator. PROGRAM ModbusClient VAR initDone : BOOL := FALSE; errorID : ModbusFB.Error; client : ModbusFB.ClientTCP; timeout : UDINT := 500000; replyTimeout : UDINT := 200000; aUINT : ARRAY [0..8] OF UINT; clientRequestReadHoldingRegisters : ModbusFB.ClientRequestReadHoldingRegisters; clientRequestsCnt : UINT := 0; clientRequestsProcessCnt : UINT := 0; ipAddress : ARRAY[0..3] OF BYTE := [10,54,0,72]; END_VAR IF NOT initDone THEN initDone := TRUE; client(aIPaddr:=ipAddress, udiLogOptions:=ModbusFB.LoggingOptions.All); client(xConnect:=TRUE, ); clientRequestReadHoldingRegisters(rClient:=client, udiTimeOut:=timeout, uiUnitId:=1, uiStartItem:=0, uiQuantity:=4, pData:=ADR(aUINT[0]), udiReplyTimeout:=replyTimeout); clientRequestReadHoldingRegisters.xExecute := TRUE; clientRequestsCnt := 0; END_IF clientRequestReadHoldingRegisters(rClient:=client, udiTimeOut:=timeout, uiUnitId:=1, uiStartItem:=0, uiQuantity:=4, pData:=ADR(aUINT[0]), udiReplyTimeout:=replyTimeout, xExecute := TRUE); IF clientRequestReadHoldingRegisters.xError THEN clientRequestsCnt := clientRequestsCnt +1 ; errorID := clientRequestReadHoldingRegisters.eErrorID; END_IF clientRequestReadHoldingRegisters(rClient:=client, udiTimeOut:=timeout, uiUnitId:=1, uiStartItem:=0, uiQuantity:=4, pData:=ADR(aUINT[0]), udiReplyTimeout:=replyTimeout, xExecute := NOT clientRequestReadHoldingRegisters.xExecute); When the system is running I do get the following on the logs: 2024-05-13T10:18:07.443Z: Cmp=MODBUS lib, Class=1, Error=0, Info=0, pszInfo= Client.RequestProcessed ClientRequest,16#0164ADC561A0 unitId=1 fc=ReadHoldingRegisters id=2070 state=Error 2024-05-13T10:18:07.443Z: Cmp=MODBUS lib, Class=1, Error=0, Info=0, pszInfo= ClientRequest,16#0164ADC561A0 unitId=1 fc=ReadHoldingRegisters id=2070 change state Error -> None timestamp=63843421226 2024-05-13T10:18:08.444Z: Cmp=MODBUS lib, Class=1, Error=0, Info=0, pszInfo= ClientRequest,16#0164ADC561A0 unitId=1 fc=ReadHoldingRegisters id=2071 change state None -> Init timestamp=63844421420 2024-05-13T10:18:09.444Z: Cmp=MODBUS lib, Class=1, Error=0, Info=0, pszInfo= ClientRequest,16#0164ADC561A0 unitId=1 fc=ReadHoldingRegisters id=2071 change state Init -> Error timestamp=63845421675 But the errorID is jumping between OK and RequestNotProcessed. Post by rcaponi on Codesys Control RTE V3. Remote Control CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello, I would like to have, if possible, some clarification on this function. That is, I would like to understand if it is useful for managing, fom my development PC, the RTE runtime executed on a remote control. This is what the help says: Remote PLC: Opens the Remote Configuration dialog. By enabling or disabling the Control remote PC, not local option, you determine whether a PLC is used that is on a remote or local PC. Accordingly, the menu commands Start PLC, Stop PLC, and PLC Configuration refer to the local PC or a PC reached on the network. For the remote PC, specify the Target PC address, Port number, and a Timeout value (in ms) for the connection (Remote Timeout [ms]). But does this mean that I also need to install the RTE runtime on my development PC? Is it possible to have some more information? Best regards Roberto Caponi

Post by sanacfu on looking for v2.3 libraries on v3.5.19 CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi all, I'm new to Codesys and Wago but well versed in Rockwell. I've been tasked with upgrading old Wago 750-880 PLCs that run Codesys v2.3. All I was giving is the original PLC program in v2.3 and the currently running machine. I've spec out to what I believe is a suitable upgrade, the PFC100 2ndGen, 750-8111. As I'm rewriting this code on the Codesys I can't find the same library functions blocks for ethernet settings PLC functions. Currently I'm working on code to get/set the PLC ethernet IP address and HMI IP addresses from the HMI screen. One other function I'm looking for is a warm reset function to the PLC. When googling for this stuff I see a lot of code not in ladder logic. Are these functions now not available to implement in ladder logic? Where can I get more information on finding and implementing this functions? Do I have to buy a license from Codesys to use these functions? The PLC I ordered should be arriving in 2-3 weeks.
