Hello, I have experienced the same issue as described above but for the Modbus Serial configurator. Looking for a solution. In v3.5 SP19 Patch 7 the Modbus Serial Master Slave configurator has a "virtual" limit of 10 channels. In v3.5 SP18 Patch 5 this virtual limit does not exist. I can successfully copy back and forth from 18 to 19 with out any build error. However, this is not a good solution for our customers. What is even more confusing is that the IoDrvModbus library is the same version (4.3.0.0) for both SP18 and SP19. Please help in providing a fix to the virtual channel limit of 10 in SP19. Thanks,

Hallo Forum Hat jemand Erfahrung mit dem Optimalem anpassen der Position und Grösse der Visualisierungselemente? Bei uns funktioniert in der Codesys 3.5 SP20 nur die Anpassung auf der x-Achse mit (Container.Width - Visu.Width). Die y-Achse wird jedoch mit (Container.Height - Visu.Height) nicht beeinflusst. Wir haben dies nach dem Beispiel von Codesys "Position und Größe optimal anpassen" umgesetzt und keinen Erfolg. Besten Dank für eure Hilfe.

Hello forum Does anyone have experience with optimally adjusting the position and size of the visualization elements? For us, the adjustment on the x-axis works in Codesys 3.5 SP20 with (Container.Width - Visu.Width). However, the y-axis is not affected with (Container.Height - Visu.Height). We implemented this according to the example from Codesys "Optimally adjust position and size" and had no success. Thank you very much for your help.

What do you mean by continuous movement? You want to continuously follow a dynamic target position? SMC_ControlAxisByPos, which is typically used with CNC Interpolators, could work for that. Instead of feeding the target position in from the Interpolator, feed in the target position from your server instead. If yes, how? I defined a TEST integer variable with 300 value. I tried to add this variable to the width record (.TEST or only TEST), but if I saved, the value jumps back to 0. Hello jacobwago, I believe that the limit is fixed in the editor, but not in the driver package. There seems to be no link between the driver setting and the editor. Otherwise, I don't know why the input (>10) is blocked, but the function is available. Unfortunately, I cannot offer you any other solution apart from the one mentioned above. Kind regards

Reading between the lines of what you did not specify, it therefore seems to appear that in the programme, at the end of the movement order, there is an order to remove power and switch off the pulse modulation. if this is the case, it is obvious that the motor then remains free. If the position is to be maintained at the end of the movement, the motor current modulator, which on the PLC side is controlled via the MC_Power method, must not be interrupted. Another possibility is that in the motor drive settings, the standstill torque current is set very low or zero and without position monitoring. You have to check this via the servo motor drive.

Hi, I've read the CamBuilder documentation and it shows to use the left boundary of the first segment as SMCB.BoundImplicit(), so that the transition is as smooth as possible. With this it sets X and Y to 0. My first slave position is not 0 (say for example it's 100), so I would set it with SMCB.Bound(0,100). My question is that when the cam goes back to the start (Periodic := TRUE) , will it blend with the last position (360, 100) if I do this? I imagine it will, but the documentation isn't clear as the information in the Periodic Cams only says to set Smooth Transition in the cam properties - but when I'm defining it with code there isn't an option for Smooth Transition to be set. Hi TK_Jenssen did you found a solution I am setting up the samelike gantry only with two z-axes which are mounted on fix position with an X axes between the two z-axes. The movement and position of both z-axes must be very well aligned and calibrated. Maybe also to be adjusted by programming. Can you sent an example of your solution?

Hi peterned, the start position given in the CNC properties is only used if you use the compile mode OutQueue. With compile mode SMC_CNC_REF, you need to provide the start position in the IEC application. The function block SMC_NCInterpreter has an input piStartPosition. You can initialize it with the output of the forward kinematic transormation FB for your machine. In your case probably SMC_TRAFOF_Gantry2. Best regards, Georg

I am actually wondering as well if there are plans to fix it or not? As adding two modbus devices creates it's own problems with connection limits and other issues, which some slave devices have.

I have the Opening and Closing working, but I can’t get the dialogue's position to be controlled. With this kind of motor nominal tourque I can belive that it can be moved very easy. 1,6 Nm is, for example, the torque required for unscrew a small loose cap from a bottle.

In general, drives have parameter sets to adjust behaviour in such cases: position recovery, adaptation with resistant torque, out-of-position window failure, etc. (Much depends on the type of configuration set for the axis: positioner, speed controller, torque controller, etc.). I have used that type of drive very little, in only two cases and a long time ago. To tell you what is normal is impossible. I know by reputation they are very simple objects, without too many pretensions and adjustments possible. Try running traces by monitoring actual position, motor current, torque and following error. These are the most sensible curves to understand what is going on. Maybe by fine tuning the motor tuning, the current controller or the speed controller you will get something closer to what you want. For example, from DS, the motor has a standstill torque of 3 Nm. Observe with traces whether this is effective: motor current trend. And afterwards, when you have your own accurate picture of the situation, you can also hear from the product's local support to see if you can steal a few more things from it performance-wise.

... you say 1.6 Nm is only enough torque to unscrew a loose bottle cap ... This the the value of torque: from 1,2 Nm to 1,4 Nm that is cosidered acceptable for an old people. 1,6 Nm the torque considered acceptable for general use caps.
