Hi. As far as projects in "old version"s are concerned, these can be upgraded to newer versions at any time. We can give a chekclist on how to proceed: Fist, please recheck the communication settings in the OPC UA connection function block to ensure that the server URL, endpoint URL, and other settings are correct and match the configuration of the OPC UA server. Verify that the OPC UA server is running and accessible. -You can try to connect to the OPC UA server using a separate client, such as UAExpert, to ensure that the issue is not related to the OPC UA server itself. Test the security settings in the OPC UA connection function block to ensure that the correct security policy and certificate are selected. If you are using a dynamic connection to the OPC UA server, probe that the connection settings are correctly configured and that the OPC UA client is able to establish a connection to the OPC UA server. Also, please loock into the log files for any errors related to the OPC UA connection function block, these should be listet there. The log files may also provide additional information about the issue and help you to further troubleshoot the problem. We use several control units running on Raspberry Pi, programmed using Codesys software, with multiple licenses stored as soft containers. We are planning to update the SD card image of the Raspberry Pi to a newer OS version. However, we are concerned that this process might result in the loss of our soft container licenses. Is there a way to temporarily deactivate the license so that it can be reactivated on the updated system? Alternatively, what would be the best method to preserve the licenses during the update? Hi, sorry I was not there for a long time. The TCA9548 needs terminating resistors, do you have them in? That's why I went to QWIIC, the muxboard already has them built in. If it still does not work, try it first without the muxboard. PS: Note the channel assignment. Muxboard 0 = I2C_Master 1,0,0,0,0,0,0,0 Muxboard 1 = I2C_Master 2,0,0,0,0,0,0,0 etc.

Hi, I suppose that you are referring to the error code "SMC_FB_WASNT_CALLED_DURING_MOTION"? Starting of Softmotion version 4.15.0.0 the instance path of the function block that has not been called is logged into the device log. This might help you to identify why it has not been called.

Gentleman OMG, I made a huge mistake when i tried and moved shaft by hand i hold cover(as on photo) in my fingers. I was convinced that shaft has key but it there is not key. So when i turn cover it slide on shaft. When i take off cover and drive is in standstill, shaft does not move. So everything works perfectly

Hi, I have the same problem. Some of the libraries I created over time depend on writing files to a folders like c:\Temp. I can confirm that proposed solution is not working with 3.5.20 Patch 2. Can you please specify wich exactly .cfg file needs to be modified and in what way, in order to include c:\Temp in the SysFile path? Thank you!

I made hardware reboot and it still not working. I also tried Persistence Manager which need Application Composer Single License but Codesys support said that my runtime do not compatibile with it and it will avaiable in 2025 only. So I hope I will figured out how to use this code.

Hi, Codesyscontrol 4.13.0.0 Raspberry Pi5 64bit with latest updates. Cant get working GPIO - no output and no input. SPI/I2C not tested. GPIOs B+/Pi2, Input/Output is set in the parameters, assigned variables int the Mapping. Absolutely no reaction. Do I need to configure anything else to make it work? Thanks!

I believe it should be available. It may be the case, that your device does not support the alarm configuration. Some smaller PLCs sometimes do not support it. You can try changing to a different device, like a Codesys Control Win, in your project, and see if then allows you to add the alarm configuration.

Hi, I realized that if I replug the power supply the persistent variables lost their value with the new software too. Cold reset do not affect the variables value but hardware reboot still reset the values. Application Composer can't be activated. What is the solution?

I was trying to use repair function in installer but this is not helping at all. Wonder if anyone experience this behaviour? Initially I had the same problem in CoDeSys when selecting a newly installed TTF font, while CoDeSys was running. I solved it by closing Codesys and running it again to restart the initialization process. After that, using the new font did not pop up errors. I also had cases with files that had a ttf extension, but were actually not TrueType.

Sorry, wrong expression. You have a 64bit system, so do I. You can also use the 64bit runtime, but most bib and commands are 32bit and are not properly supported. I had read somewhere that there are problems with I2C. That's why I recommend switching to PI_SL and using the correct gpio.

I am definetly not an expert in this field, but it does seem like you need a propper API key in the URL. Right now you are using the token 'ANWB' in your URL, which the website returns an error, since this is not valid. Somehow you first need a propper API key. I hope that makes sense.

I just had the same problem in 3.5 SP19 Patch 6. Trying to use a textlist for Combobox Integer element. The textlist cannot be selected in the IDE, and is not found when manually entering the name. The textlist is copied to the device, but is not used. Can confirm, that copying an existing textlist and renaming it does work.

A Task is a standard IEC 61131-3 object, so logically that you can export the VISU_TASK. A visualization is no standard IEC 61131-3 object, so not compatible with other IEC tools. Just use the standard export / import functionality. These files are not IEC compatible and can only be used in CODESYS. But these do support visu objects.

After correspondence with Mr Schwellinger from Codesys the resolution for this was to uninstall the SL 4.14 and install SL 4.13 on the device. Once this was done the licensing worked as expected. I noted that the container then showed a Version 3.00 and not 0.00.

I changed the interfaces to br0 & br1 as they are designated on the Wago PFC200. That issue is resoved. However, on site I have very high system cpu usage, system as in Linux. Presently it is not known why - my bench system does not exhibit such high system usage. In the past this was due to IGMP network traffic every 250uSec from synchronized inverters.

And I still get this "Webvisu not supported due to missing browser feature HTML5-Canvas" fallback with a quite simple webvisu containing some buttons, images, textboxed and a grid. 1) In the library manager of your project select "Download missing libraries". 2) In the library manager open the "Placeholders" dialog. In here find the Placeholder which is not referenced to a specific library yet. Click in this line on the Library column and select the latest version of this library.

Hi! I am trying to achieve the same issue. Has there been a solution? I can create the mapping, and map the local variable, but somehow the object does not update. Furthermore, i have an issue where codesys doesn't let me set ReadWrite accesses to the variables in the "Type Mapping" place. The access will simply not be set. Has anyone ran int that issue?

It seems like a useful option regarding install the different versions of Codesys IDE on the same computer and keep in isolation from each other, but unfortunately it didn't work. I had similar issues with the OnDialogClosed not being called. I realized that this behaviour is resolved, when the according visualization object on which the input configuration is set is moved to the foreground. Somehow, the object has to be one of the lowest elements in the Element List (i.e. in the foreground) for it to work.

Answering to myself: is not possible according to the IFM support, this possibility has not been taken into account, although the interfaces and FBs in Codesys would apparently support it. So I ended up having to deactivate the sensor validation and the backup & restore functionality in the master and implement it in the PLC myself.
