Hi @eschwellinger, I have been trying out v1.0 of the new ladder and have a few questions. I have warnings Expression or part of it has no effect I can't get rid of them, what do they exactly mean? Using the ST_Block, is there a way when online to open the ST_Block and view the running code? Thanks!

When creating a new Codesys library, I am getting 2 errors for missing libraries. I can see that I am using newer versions of these in the library manager (3.5.17.0 and 3.5.19.0 opposed to 3.5.8.0 and 3.5.7.0 stated in the errors). IDE Version is V3.5 SP19 Patch 6. The "Download missing libraries..." button in Messages list is not doing anything. Why is it looking for older versions of these libraries? Can this be fixed by using the newer versions? How can I download & install the older version of these libraries?

Hi, CODESYS Control Standard S + CODESYS Visualization L, CODESYS Control for Beaglebone 4.11.0.0, CODESYS V3.5 SP20 + (64-bit) I have problem that license manager say that this device is not supported when i try active whole license. When I select only runtime and communication it is go next step, but then I no have license on in Visualistion section, all of rest of software metric licese is ok(IO, Istances of com et, code size etc.). Hello, same issue after a fresh install with CODESYS 64 3.5.21.30, on two different PCs Win10 and Win11. But with different Plug-In errors. CODESYS 64 3.5.19.70 runs after a lot of Package deinstallation/installation handling. But every think looks not really stable. Deinstallation of MS C++ and MS Runtime stuff -> CS installation. Than deinstallation of CodemMaster for anti freezing CS.

Create an array of STRING and 1 INT variable, e.g.: asMyString : ARRAY[0..9] OF STRING; iIndex : INT; Then place a "Table" object in the visualization: - link this to the string array variable. - Check the option "Use Template" - Then in the Input Configuration - add the "Write Variable" command Somewhere else add a "Combobox, array" - link this to the same array. - And link the index to the INT variable. In the Combobox, you can then select one of the strings from the array. The index variable will indicate which selection has been made.

Hey all CODESYS-experts. I'm at a customer site, and we hade a power-failure and one of the devices apparently runs codesys and has crashed. It's an old device (out of warranty) that is bought many years ago. Now this device doesn't seem to boot. Any idea what to do in this case? We have access to the drive so we have access to the files. See screenshots.

It turns out that you can build JSON structures without ever calling the JSONBuilder function block directly. Instead, create a pointer to JSON.JSONData and invoke the necessary methods on its dereference. The parent object has a parent index of -1 (and an index of 0). EVERY other item (including keys, values, empty arrays and sub-objects) created by the setX methods needs the index to increase by 1. Then use the JSONByteArrayWriter FB to generate your JSON string

What we are trying to explain is that, yes CODESYS creates the software, but Epis decides how they implement it on their hardware, which runtime version they use and they decide which functionality they support. So it is always a combination of the two. What CODESYS provides is a runtime with options for e.g. visualization or softmotion. Epis could add this softmotion license as default to their controller, but if they don't then CODESYS provides another option with a single license in a "Wibu CodeMeter" container. Eventhough the feature exists, Epis has to add this "CodeMeter" software on their controller to be able to access the licenses in the container. We don't know if they did this. Then finally it depends on what type of runtime is on this controller and which license Epis is using. So if they have an OEM license (not an application based license), then most likely you will need the Softmotion license (not a number of axis). See https://store.codesys.com/en/codesys-softmotion-sl-bundle.html. But to be sure if this is supported by the Epis controller, you must ask Epis.

Issue 1 — First row not displayed when using Maximum array index with 1-based arrays Description: When displaying data from an array that is indexed starting from 1 (e.g., ARRAY[1..N]), and the number of displayed rows is limited using the Maximum array index property, the first row of the array is not shown in the visualization. Steps to reproduce: Create an array indexed from 1 (e.g., ARRAY[1..N]). Bind the array to a Table element. Limit the number of displayed rows using the Maximum array index property. Run the visualization. Actual result: The first array element (index 1) is not displayed in the table. Issue 2 — Tooltip string placeholder cannot be bound to string variable from array Description: It is not possible to use a string placeholder in the tooltip that is bound to a string variable from the array. Steps to reproduce: Use a table bound to an array containing string variables. Configure a tooltip using a string placeholder referencing a string field from the array. Run the visualization. Actual result: Tooltip doesn't show any text. A test project demonstrating both issues is attached. Thank you for your time and support.

You are right, that you can use the GetState method, but it is not that simple. You first have to get a list of (filtered) alarms from the AlarmManager. You can find an example in Forge how to do this. Hi all! I'm working on an home project using a Raspberry Pi 3 device with Codesys for Raspberry Pi 64 SL runtime. I would like to create the HMI interface with Siemens WinCC Unified (or Advanced) configuring the Raspberry as OPC UA server. I tryed everything, but I didn't find the way to let the OPC UA connection works using UaExpert. I tryed to use anonymous connection, authenticated connection and the ip address instead of the server name in the path connection. There is no way to connect to the OPC UA server and I was asking myself if this feature is really supported for the runtime version used. Another strange thing I noted, is that is not possible to quickly create an OPC UA certificate in the Security Screen, as show in any tutorials. I have correctly created the Symbol Configuration enabling the OPC UA feature. I attach to this topic some printscreen of the actual configuration (sorry for the italian language interface, but I didn't find the way to switch to english). WHEREAS, I have already searched various posts and forums, where mostly there are few references and mostly geared toward integration in TwinCAT. I am looking for how to properly configure the EL6731 board as a DP master, (where I have its 3S license), with CoDeSys 3.5.19.x. I have three types of slaves, all integrated with their GSD descriptors. In the tab for the various slaves, I don't see options related to node restart on 'station return'. On the card manual, I read that for each slave I should be able to configure parameter 8000:2C: “8000:2C Restart behavior after DP fault Reserve, must be 0 BIT1 RW 0x00 (0dec)” However, in the project I see no way to configure this parameter, in any of the boards; and the arrays do not always have such an extensive size; most of the time they are only two or three words in size. The problem is that, after the hot reset of CoDeSys, the master restarts by starting all slave nodes, but if one or more get lost and go offline, there is then no automatic restart upon their return. I would need to figure out any solution, even via software, how to figure out that this one is back available and restart it.

I have a project with several buttons and dialogs. Most of the dialogs are opened using the Open Dialog action of the Input configuration of the buttons. Some dialogs are openend using the FbOpenDialogExtended FB of the Visu Utils library and the FbOpenDialogExtended FB is called in the Execute ST-Code action. I am also using the FileOpenSave dialog from Visu Dialogs which requires an OnDialogClosed action to read out. I realized that the OnDialogClosed action which is meant for the FileOpenSave dialog also triggers if a dialog is closed, which was previously openend using the FbOpenDialogExtended FB. Is there a way to detect which dialog was closed last and specify to which dialogs the OnDialogClosed action reacts?

" [ERROR] visuelems, 4.8.0.0 (system): VisuFbTabControl: C0138: No matching 'FB_Init' method found for instantiation of VisuClientObjectMgr " Are others experiencing the error "C0138: No matching 'FB_Init' method found for instantiation..." when trying to compile example projects created with older versions of Codesys with a later version of the IDE? I have a version of codesys 3.5.16 on my local machine and a vm. The local machine has loads of codesys versions and libraries installed etc. I can open the FPosCR_Example_Project_SP16_patch1 project on my vm without any errors. On the local machine I get the error C0077: unknown type IoDrvEthercatLib.ETC_CO_SdoWrite. I can, on the local machine, declare a var of type IoDrvEthercatLib.ETC_CO_SdoWrite and include it in the code without adding an extra error. The problem only seems to affect the library. This is seems more an issue with my codesys set up rather than something with festo. I would like to know the possible causes. I understand most of the library manager features but it's not clear how to find the cause. Thanks
