Hi all! I'm working on an home project using a Raspberry Pi 3 device with Codesys for Raspberry Pi 64 SL runtime. I would like to create the HMI interface with Siemens WinCC Unified (or Advanced) configuring the Raspberry as OPC UA server. I tryed everything, but I didn't find the way to let the OPC UA connection works using UaExpert. I tryed to use anonymous connection, authenticated connection and the ip address instead of the server name in the path connection. There is no way to connect to the OPC UA server and I was asking myself if this feature is really supported for the runtime version used. Another strange thing I noted, is that is not possible to quickly create an OPC UA certificate in the Security Screen, as show in any tutorials. I have correctly created the Symbol Configuration enabling the OPC UA feature. I attach to this topic some printscreen of the actual configuration (sorry for the italian language interface, but I didn't find the way to switch to english). WHEREAS, I have already searched various posts and forums, where mostly there are few references and mostly geared toward integration in TwinCAT. I am looking for how to properly configure the EL6731 board as a DP master, (where I have its 3S license), with CoDeSys 3.5.19.x. I have three types of slaves, all integrated with their GSD descriptors. In the tab for the various slaves, I don't see options related to node restart on 'station return'. On the card manual, I read that for each slave I should be able to configure parameter 8000:2C: “8000:2C Restart behavior after DP fault Reserve, must be 0 BIT1 RW 0x00 (0dec)” However, in the project I see no way to configure this parameter, in any of the boards; and the arrays do not always have such an extensive size; most of the time they are only two or three words in size. The problem is that, after the hot reset of CoDeSys, the master restarts by starting all slave nodes, but if one or more get lost and go offline, there is then no automatic restart upon their return. I would need to figure out any solution, even via software, how to figure out that this one is back available and restart it.

I have a project with several buttons and dialogs. Most of the dialogs are opened using the Open Dialog action of the Input configuration of the buttons. Some dialogs are openend using the FbOpenDialogExtended FB of the Visu Utils library and the FbOpenDialogExtended FB is called in the Execute ST-Code action. I am also using the FileOpenSave dialog from Visu Dialogs which requires an OnDialogClosed action to read out. I realized that the OnDialogClosed action which is meant for the FileOpenSave dialog also triggers if a dialog is closed, which was previously openend using the FbOpenDialogExtended FB. Is there a way to detect which dialog was closed last and specify to which dialogs the OnDialogClosed action reacts?

Hello everyone, I downloaded the "Example: PLC Chat Net Base Services" example from the Codesys help site to review and try it out. https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Examples/_ex_cds_plc_chat_net_base_services.html However, when I open and compile the example program with SP21 Patch2, I get the strange error message below regarding Visualisation component, and it fails to compile. " [ERROR] visuelems, 4.8.0.0 (system): VisuFbTabControl: C0138: No matching 'FB_Init' method found for instantiation of VisuClientObjectMgr " Are others experiencing the error "C0138: No matching 'FB_Init' method found for instantiation..." when trying to compile example projects created with older versions of Codesys with a later version of the IDE? I have a version of codesys 3.5.16 on my local machine and a vm. The local machine has loads of codesys versions and libraries installed etc. I can open the FPosCR_Example_Project_SP16_patch1 project on my vm without any errors. On the local machine I get the error C0077: unknown type IoDrvEthercatLib.ETC_CO_SdoWrite. I can, on the local machine, declare a var of type IoDrvEthercatLib.ETC_CO_SdoWrite and include it in the code without adding an extra error. The problem only seems to affect the library. This is seems more an issue with my codesys set up rather than something with festo. I would like to know the possible causes. I understand most of the library manager features but it's not clear how to find the cause. Thanks

This depends on what you want to achieve with installing the latest version and how you manage your projects and repositories. Maybe you also want to update your device (right click on it to update) or maybe your device is depending on certain versions of libraries (go to the library manager in your project and download the missing libraries). An option is also to first create a projectarchive of the current project you have before you install a new version of CODESYS. Then you can open this projectarchive in the new CODESYS version. Especially if you install the latest version of CODESYS in a Sandbox.

Hello, I program a function for an Ethernet/IP controller. I made a structure with input and output corresponding with the map of my controller for the function block. My problem is that I don't know how to do the link between the controller and my PLC (CC 100 from Wago). The addresses declare in Codesys are illogic, The first addresses are 12 and 13 then 7 then 4. How to do corresponding the addresses of the controller and the input / output structure ? IP adress ? Does I must create the all variables of controller with the controller adresses to use with the function block ? Thanks for your help. (I hope I'm clear, I'm not english)

Iv been working with a Deep Sea Electronics DSE840 for about 6 months. I have a development version of my program working with a state machine and a basic gui interface. I went to implement CAN and suddenly the text on the gui on the controller is much larger than before. I could flash old versions of my project and the text was the correct size, but if i renamed the project file, the text displayed would be large. The visualization in CODESYS always shows the expected size, but not the controller. I did a fresh install of CODESYS and even a new project with only one text box, I cant get the text size on the controller to match what is displayed in codesys to match. Any advice?

4.11 appears to solve the problem. Thanks for your help. I had first installed the 64-bit version of RPiOS, but looking at various posts and the product's page on the store which only lists 32-bit compatibility, I downgraded to the 32-bit version. I did this before trying 4.11, and it did not solve the problem. Thus my working system is 32-bit, and I am wondering if I can go back to 64-bit or not. An 64-bit OS is not listed as compatible on the store's web page, but when installing there actually is a 64-bit version listed (automatically chosen when installing on 64-bit, but otherwise greyed out). Is 64-bit supported and the website is out-of-date, or is that some kind of work-in-progress?

However, when I try to write data obtained using SysProcessExecuteCommand2 to the database using fbMsSQL_compact(FUN), an error message "Dest server on ip address:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and port:1433 is unreachable" appears and writing is not possible. From what I have researched, it seems that writing is not completed in one cycle of fbMsSQL_compact(FUN), and when SysProcessExecuteCommand2 is executed first in the second cycle, the work done in one cycle of fbMsSQL_compact(FUN) is reset. Could you please give me some advice?

Hello, I'm trying to understand the reason for the many errors on the EtherCAT master status page. If we set the cycletime to 1ms we see a lot of rxerrors and lostframes, but the send and recive times are quite good (see attachement). And the status of the EtherCAT bus is good (no other errors, all is green, slave has no errors) But when we set 2ms cycletime the lostframe errors are gone, but periodically increses rxerror counter (see attachement). The questions is, what do these errors actually mean and what we can do to get gid of them? Linux RT, imx8, Codesys runtime for ARM 3.5.21.10, Ethercat 4.10 Thanks

Hi, I am trying to build a CI/CD pipeline around our codesys projects. The only entry point if the git url and branch, as we do not put our project file under source control, so we needed to find a way to git clone from the python scripting engine. This is currently how we do this : system.commands["Git", "Clone"].execute( "ProjectLocation=" + project_dir, "ProjectName=" + project_file_name, "RemoteUrl=" + project_git_remote_url, "GitProjectStoragePath=" + project_git_local_dir, ) system.commands["Git", "Checkout", "Branch"].execute( "PrimaryProjectHandle=0", "BranchName=origin/" + project_git_branch ) This works fine, except that, depending on the environment and the project, the "Project Environment" popup gets displayed to suggest for some updates, and waits for a user interaction, even with the "--noUI" flag injected as parameter. I investigated the VersionUpdateFlags, but the problem is that the git clone is an atomic operation that clones and directly opens the generated project without the possibility to inject any updateFlags argument (only used in the ScripProjects.open() function. I also tried to simulate some keyboard events acknowledge the window from script but I did not find the right location for the SendKeys statement, I think before the git clone call is too early and after is too late. So I am wondering if there would be some other way to do that. Is there some more proper scripting api for the git add on ? Is there a global configuration of the VersionUpdateFlags that would allow the popup to be disabled outside from any project context ? Is there some way to automatically acknowledge this kind of messages in a "--noUI" mode ? What do you suggest ? Post by dantheman on Connecting to SoftPLC Only Works By Turning Off Modbus Ethernet Port ^{CODESYS Forge talk (Post)}
I have an IPC with 2 ethernet ports and 1 Wi-Fi. I'm using ModbusTCP with the ethernet port named "enp2s0" connected to my remote I/O. This works fine when testing with Python and also works with CODESYS, but CODESYS is only able to scan for the Linux SoftPLC when I turn off the "enp2s0" interface. In other words, I can't get online with the IDE if I want my ModbusTCP comms to run with CODESYS. I'm using a Linux SoftPLC that has the following entry in CODESYSControl.cfg, hoping that this will allow me to connect with "enp1s0" or "wlp3s0", and leave "enp2s0" for field comms, but this seems to only make the source IP of the ModbusTCP comms to be bound to "enp2s0". That last point is the case only if I don't restart the service, but if I do restart the service after changing the config file, the source IP for the ModbusTCP comms then becomes the one for "enp1s0", which is very confusing to me: [SysSocket] Adapter.0.Name="enp2s0" Adapter.0.EnableSetIpAndMask=1 On the device list, I only have "enp2s0" given as the ethernet device that has the ModbusTCP master & slave beneath it, shown in Screenshot 1. On the IPC, I can ping the ModbusTCP client (remote I/O) from "enp2s0", and I've attached a Wireshark capture of running ModbusTCP from the CODESYS runtime as Screenshot 2, 3 & 4 (again, I can't get online when this is running, I have to turn off "enp2s0" to connect even when it's idle and I don't have an active TCP session with my Python tests). Like I explained above, the source IP is "enp1s0", even though the ethernet device on the project is "enp2s0". I was lucky to catch the red message that showed the source IP that makes sense to me (the one for "enp2s0"), but for some reason that connection was reset and I never saw that packet again. I've also tried this with Auto-reconnect both enabled & disabled, for the ModbusTCP Master device. I also have to turn off "enp1s0" and then turn it on, just so that I can have the ModbusTCP comms running from "enp2s0" (which is not intuitive in any way to me, I'd love some help understanding that phenomenon as well) in the weird manner that I've described above. I would be very appreciative if someone can help me figure out this pickle. I'd love to just connect to CODESYS through my Wi-Fi interface and leave my ethernet ports for field comms.

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and I am also new to Codesys programming. My problem is this: I have a STRUCT of 64 bool and 30 real, this STRUCT is assigned in the programme 9 times. Now I need to communicate with an HMI via Modbus and I have defined the slave device and created the holding registers for communication. I would like to declare the first call of the STRUCT on the Modbus registers %QX2000.0 to %QX2007.7 for the booleans and on the registers %QW1004 to %QW1034 for the real registers. That said, I would like to change an index and set an offset of 100 bytes for the calls of the other 8 assignments, so that the result is: %QX2100.0 to %QX2107.7 for the booleans and on the %QW1104 to %QW1134 registers for the Real registers, etc. Is there a way to declare this?
