Hello, if you enter %t as a "Text" on a rectangle and do not link a variable in "Text variable", it automatically displays the system time. My question is, where do if find a variable, that contains exactly this time? I tried numerous variants using GetLocalDateTime or GetSysTime but I always have to manage timezones myself (which I do not want to do). I only want a variable with the date an time from my windows system, where the visualization is running. Where can I find this variable?

Thanks for the reply, i am using codesys SP16 patch 5 as this is the version that is compatible with my IFM controller. i am accessing the lastusage variable from the VisuStructClientData structure through a pointer. when i log in it lists the time since last log in but does not continually count, it remains a static value which isnt useful. hopefully you can help. Hi, using the ElementCollections Library, why isn't it possible to mutate a value found within a HashTable? From what I understand, the only way to change a value would be to use the RemoveByKey(), followed by AddKeyValuePair(). My goal is to use a Data Structure that works like a Dictionary in Python. The HashTable seems to come close to this, except that the values themselves seem to be immutable... In python, we can mutate a dict easily (see attached picture).

Hi All, for my robotics application we are building a 2-axis parallel scara using the kin_bipod_rotary kinematics. Codesys implemented limits of [-90°, 90°] according to the documentation: https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/SM3_Transformation/Current/SM3_Transformation/Function-Blocks/Positioning-Kinematics/Parallel-Systems/Kin_Bipod_Rotary.html Would it be possible to overrule these limits somehow, our mechanical limits are more in the range of [-110°, 135°] In this range we also don't encounter point where singularity is an issue. Im using a pointer as input for a FB and for convenience I like to use 'referenced' variable internally. I use this setup in methods which works because internal variables are instantiated for each call. In a FB these variables are instantiated and initiated for the first call only. Is there a pragma/attribute available that changes this behaviour to mirror a 'method'-call?

Using Wireshark, I can see that the broker sends the QoS 1 or 2 messages when Codesys MQTT client reconnects but they are just discarded and not acknowledged by Codesys MQTT Client. So the broker holds on to them and tries to send them back to Codesys every time the client reconnects but they are always discarded by Codesys. There really seems to be an issue with QoS 1 & 2 in Codesys. It really does not behaves like it should.

Hi, please check if "Support client animations and overlay of native elements" option is enabled. This option is very heavy to manage for the Webclients. I'm using the Pixsys srl "TC series" HMI with the code "P3" (so a 4+4 cores CPU) that runs very well also with this option active. The same CPU is mounted also in their WebPanel "WP" series, so you can try one of them if you want.

When you say it does not work, does nothing happen or do you get an error? I have not used this function in codesys but from my past experience with Modbus I believe the coils need to be contiguous, which may be why yours is failing? Have you tried using Write Registers (16) to do the job? Or is their data in-between you do not want to edit in the transaction?

Thanks So Much for the reply! Were using the Weidmuller UV66-ADV-10-CAP-W The HMI is pointed to the URL which is assigned through u-OS. Basically when you log into the controller's webserver via browser you can view the installed apps. One of which is the Codesys runtime. When you click on that it takes you to the visualization. That corresponding url is what the HMI is looking for. I apologize I don't have that on hand as I'm in the office right now. I don't think I tried connecting using the port you mentioned and https in lieu of the u_OS URL. I can certainly try. Out of the box the u-OS is set for HTTP. Since we're isolated I havent changed that yet. When this has happened while logged on via chrome on my laptop, simply refreshing brings the visualization right back. In the case of the HMI in kiosk mode, we power cycle the HMI to force a reconnect, log back in u-OS and the visualization is back.

Hi all! I'm working on an home project using a Raspberry Pi 3 device with Codesys for Raspberry Pi 64 SL runtime. I would like to create the HMI interface with Siemens WinCC Unified (or Advanced) configuring the Raspberry as OPC UA server. I tryed everything, but I didn't find the way to let the OPC UA connection works using UaExpert. I tryed to use anonymous connection, authenticated connection and the ip address instead of the server name in the path connection. There is no way to connect to the OPC UA server and I was asking myself if this feature is really supported for the runtime version used. Another strange thing I noted, is that is not possible to quickly create an OPC UA certificate in the Security Screen, as show in any tutorials. I have correctly created the Symbol Configuration enabling the OPC UA feature. I attach to this topic some printscreen of the actual configuration (sorry for the italian language interface, but I didn't find the way to switch to english). Hello, This is my first time using Codesys, I am trying to add EtherNetIP communication to a Raspberry PI. I’ve added the EtherNetIP Adapter configured the network setting and added some modules to the pi but when I download the project it generates the following error: “There is no source code available for the object because it is in the compiled library ‘cip object, 4.5.1.0 (3s – smart software solution gmbh)’. Do you want to browse for the original library in order to display the source code? There are 2 errors in the log which are: SOURCEPOSITION App=[Application] area=3, offset=332760 EXCEPTION [Application] occurred: App=[Application], Task=[ENIPAdapterServiceTask] I can’t for the life of me work out how to get around this. I can’t find the source code anywhere or any information regarding this error. I’m using Codesys V3.5 SP19 Patch 3, the version of the Ethernet adapter is 4.5.1.0 and the version of the modules is 4.1.0.0. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes it is possible. I did it a lot of times using TeamViewer VPN. Unfortunately, TeamViewer VPN only works on Windows. If the remote PLC is a Codesys runtime running on Windows, you should be able to login directly using TeamViewer VPN if it is installed on the PC/PLC. If it is not Windows based, you can still do it but you need to have a Windows based PC acting as a gateway in the middle. In this case you need to enable IP Forwarding on the Windows remote PC (the gateway) and you need to setup the gateway IP address on the PLC to be the address of the Windows PC. Then you need to add a route on your local PC to point to the gateway PC for Codesys communication. I know it may not be detailed enough but I did not want to make a whole tutorial on how to do it. Bottom line, it is possible. I do it all the time.

Hello all I am using an AxisGroup with the Gantry2 Kinematics to move a 2D-Gantry system. When creating the AxisGroup, the SoftMotion_PlanningTask is created automatically with a cycle time of 2 ms in my case. I realized that the maximum cycle time of this task can spike to very high values (up to 60 ms) at lower speeds of the motion, leading to synchronization issues and errors on the axes. The same behaviour - though not as drastic - can be observed with virtual axes too. Is this behaviour intended or to be expected? Can the cycle time or type of the SoftMotion_PlanningTask be changed to prevent these errors? Or is there another fix for this issue? I tried changing the cycle type to Freewheeling, which solved the synchronization issues, but caused an error on the AxisGroup after a while, reading SMC_CP_QUEUE_UNDERRUN. Hi I am trying use the Codesys Communication Manager to set up an Opc ua server with a custom information model. As a start I am using the Boiler model available on Opc foundations github page. I am testing with a Wago CC100 and using Codesys V3.5 SP19 Patch 6. I get the following error: Communication Manager [Device: PLC Logic: Application]: The information model http://opcfoundation.org/UA/ is required by http://opcfoundation.org/UA/Boiler/ with a minimal publication date from 15/12/2023 but the device has only a model from 15/09/2021 installed. Probably the information model from 15/09/2021 is missing in the information model repository. The error message does not make sense to me. Should it not be “Probably the information model from 15/12/2023 is missing in the information model repository”? Anyway, both versions are available in the repository. How can I solve this?

Hi, Same for me ! Works in Codesys 3.5.19 but not in 3.5.20.
