Old thread, I know - but it still has good answers. I would like to add a bit of info to it, as I was having a problem that lead me to this thread, but didn't give an exact answer. I am porting a project to a different PLC architecture. (Wago PFC300) A GVL named 'GVL' in the POUs section of my project was shadowed by a PLC-specific library in the Application->Library Manager. So all the existing references in the device specific code to 'GVL.something' would not resolve. Right-clicking the GVL in the code and 'Go to definition' would point me to the library in the Application Library Manager. All I had to do from there, was right-click the library, and set the property 'Only allow qualified access to all identifiers' in the library.

Hello all, I would like to create a simple which runs directly on Control WinV3 x64 3.5.21.0 For this purpose I created a simple dll myAdder.dll in Cpp // MyAdder.cpp // cl /LD /EHsc MyAdder.cpp /Fe:MyAdder.dll #include <windows.h> extern "C" __declspec(dllexport) int __cdecl CmpMyAdder_Add(int a, int b) { return a + b; } I added the dll in the respective folder. Furthermore I "registred" the dll in the CODESYSControl.cfg. However, when I want to use the library I get the error message: Uresolved reference: *'CMPMYADDERADD' * Can you give me a hint what step I missed or where I need to declare the dll, such that the dll resp. the reference can be resolved. Hi, sorry for the late reply. After some investigation, the read-only error was being triggered by a FAT-fs filesystem panic on the kernel end, probably caused by unfinished write/reads causing corruption. I found this thread https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Engineering/thread/e637d252b7/ which seems to give a solution of using SysProcess to send the 'sync' command to the console immediately following a write to prevent issues if power is lost or, in my case, if the unit is harshly power cycled. Indeed this seems to resolve the issue bar the worst possible edge cases.

In the CFC page oriendted editor, if I copy some elements consisting of an input connector, some connected logic and an output connector and then paste this on a another page then the pasted elements get inserted with an offset to the right so that the rightmost connector falls outside of the page, in the grey hatched area. So far so good. Then I mark all the elements and try to drag them into the correct placement, collectively. THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE! I only get the "forbidden" icon tooltip. One has to drag & drop the INDIVIDUAL elements to move the elements around. What am I doing wrong?

Hi All, I have problem with ModbusFB.ClientSerial. I'm using 4 different port for Modbus communication. After some time of running program ClientSerial stops to receive data to reply buffer and all request finish with Reply Timeout. The Device sent reply correctly,that it is visible on oscilloscope and it is possible to see that data( reply )are in the device. If the usbtty device is read over external app. then it is possible to see all data which were not taken by ModbusFB.ClientSerial. The stack does not overflow or something , program runs correctly forward and no exceptions or something. The main problem it is that when the error occur than it is not possible to reset port or something or maybe i'm doing it wrong way. please help me with this issue. I'm a fan of the analog indicators from ISA101. To recreate these, I use a number of rectangles that are dynamically sized and colored based on the input configuration. To keep it standard and easy, everything is built around 100px height. Then when instantiated in a frame, it can be resized as needed with the math remaining the same. The math logic is in a METHOD called by the rear most rectangle. These indicators do not use a "filling" bar graph, rather a fixed bar graph with a carrot to track the current value.

Hello, I'm playing around with a single axis. I've setup scaling and set the drive to move 360 degrees in the commissioning tab. The axis does move 360 degrees, but it moves much slower than the 360 degrees per second that I set for the velocity. It seems to be about 3 times slower (taking about 3 seconds instead of 1). This is despite the set and actual velocity both being displayed as 360. The acceleration, deceleration and jerk are all set to very high values. I'm just running this on my PC, using demo mode (no license purchased yet). I've attached a video showing the problem. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks

Is there a way to see what value is set as the "Work travel distance per motor rotation" that is set in the Scaling menu of the axis ? I am working on my own homing function block for sensorless (hardstop) homing and I want to make it be universal between different axes with different motor's scaling for distance per rev so I need to know this value from the axis itself. I know I could do it by just creating an input variable for the function block but I'm leaving that option as a last resort.

Sorry - I should have posted this in the German-Froum... Hallo zusammen, ich bin dabei mit MQTT_Client_SL eine verschlüsselte Verbindung zu einem MQTT-Broker (mosquitto) aufzubauen. Das funktioniert auch. Jetzt möchte ich das Zertifikat vom Broker verifizieren, ähnlich wie das auch bei dem Programm "MQTT Explorer" möglich ist (dort funktioniert es). D.h. ich möchte das über das Zertifikat der CA verifizieren, dass ich mit dem Client verbunden bin. Kann mir da jemand Hilfe geben was ich dazu machen muss? Ich vermute mal, dass ich dazu NBS.TLSContext verwenden muss und habe dazu auch einiges gelesen, konnte es aber bei mir nicht ans Laufen bringen. Wie bringe ich dem Client bei, über NBS.TLSContext das richtige CA-Zertifikat für die Verifikation zu verwenden? Kann mir da jemand bitte helfen? Dankeschön :-)

I was trying to use a table object in visualization. I want to dynamically show the valid rows in the table. However, it does not work when there is 1 row. i put the maximum array index to 1. it does not show the 1st row. when i change to 2, it show the second row only. my project with older visualization profile version is working perfectly fine. I did some test and realized that i must use a Row Selection variable to change from 0 to 1. With this change of Row selection, then the row 1 will show up.

Hello, I’m developing a program and for some reason I got this error: C0193: Name '2,Recipe #2GVL' is no valid identifier I was creating a combo box and creating a TextList for my recipe. I couldn't find where the error was, until in the combo box properties in the 'Text List' property in the options it gives me to select, I found '2,Recipe #2' to be able to select (I never created a list with this name) and I can't find a way to delete that option or I can't find where that list is. I tried to delete the TextLists, delete the combo box, to clean the project, but the error still there. How can I delete this option (2,Recipe #2)? Or how can I fix this error?** Thank you.

Dear all, I have a project where I have two ModbusTCP communication drivers in the application. It's working normally until a power outage or the installation panel is restarted. As soon as the PLC CPU is restarted, the Ethernet port is OK, but the TCP Server displays an "UNDEFINED" error. I can't reset the error using the diagnostic confirmation or the "mbserver.xConfirmError" bit. I noticed that the error only appears in the "mbserver.byModbusError" memory and the description is "UNDEFINED." The "mbserver.xError" memory doesn't flag an error. When using the warm restart function and then START CPU, the devices return to normal operation. The following demonstration images; The main question is: How can I make devices boot automatically?

I don't seem to be able to use an axis, which is part of an Axis Group in torque control mode. I call the SMC_SetControllerMode FB to switch from position to torque control mode, followed by the SMC_SetTorque FB to set the desired torque. This works flawlessly for most axes, however if an axis is part of an axis group, switching the controller mode seems to work without any issues, but the desired torque is never set. SMC_SetTorque does not return an error, but fSetTorque of the axis is never changed. Disabling the axis group before does not change anything, but if I use MC_UngroupAllAxes before changing the controller mode, it all works as it should. Is there no way to control a single axis in torque control, if it is part of an axis group?

If anybody finds this in the future, I managed to do it like this: scalingValue := EncoderPulseCountPerRev / ABS(AxisName.fScaleFactor); No need to use MC_ReadParameter as I am able to read this value directly from the axis object. Using an absolute value of the fScaleFactor is there in case the axis is set as inverted, in which case it would be a negative value. I was not able to figure out how to get EncoderPulseCountPerRev programatically, but since all my servos use an encoder with pulse count per revolution of 16#800000, the final equation looks like this: scalingValue := 16#800000 / ABS(AxisName.fScaleFactor);

I'm beta-testing a new EtherCAT drive for a rotary (modulo) axis in a system where the encoder resolution is 81920000 counts per rotation. If I enter this in the SoftMotion Scaling/Mapping tab for "increments <=> motor turns", I get the error below on the Commissioning tab. Is SM unable to handle a high-resolution encoder? The bus cycle is currently set to the default of 4 msec (Control Win V3 x64), although I plan to reduce that to reduce latency, possibly by switching to the realtime (RT) master. Is SoftMotion incompatible with high-resolution encoders? SMC_CGR_INVALID_POSPERIOD Invalid modulo period (<= 0 or greater than half the bus bandwidth)

VarAccGetAddress does not return the correct address for TYPE_ARRAY or TYPE_USERDEF. When you use VarAccGetNode, it returns a proper IBaseTreeNode if you provide the full path of an array element or structure element, and it even provides the correct data type. The problem is that with TYPE_ARRAY, it returns the start address of the array rather than the indexed element. With TYPE_USERDEF, it only returns the offset of the element instead of the actual address. This causes many issues with nested structures or arrays of structures, since it requires manually calculating the address based on the parent IBaseTreeNode. See attached image and example.

I swear I tested this like 20 times yesterday without success. Repeated it today and it works. Maybe the system needed a "real" power reboot? To note. To make a manual edit of a variable I tried some different approaches this is what worked for me. "system/online edited" gvl_var.example_variable REAL:F16#2FFB334H-4 767.7 "manually edited" (with runtime stopped followed by a "cold start" to read from file) gvl_var.example_variable REAL:790.1 (the system will use the manual value but will not set an equivalent "hex" value until next online edit/write cycle)
