We are connected IFM CR711S to Exor EX710. We are exchanging data using network variables. Both devices are configured on same project so no need to use file source. When tested application it works fine. But after 3 months same application not working. We are able to send data from CR711 to EX710 but data from Ex710 to CR711s works only for one scan when we cold reset CR 711S. Can somebody help to find out error.

Hi guys, I am new to the Visualization. I am having a problem. I have multiple web-panel to use webvisu. I have my software dowwloaded into the one PFC200. There are 3 screens connected to it. I noticed that if I switch page/visualisation on one of the screens, the others will change as well. Three screens are with different URLs that I set in the software. I have been trying to set an array value to a JSON structure of this form: {"key": [1,2,3,4]} While I have been able to create the key and set its value to an empty array, I've not had any luck in putting any value in that array. objindex:= fb_JBuilder.SetKeyWithArray("Key6", diParentIndex := diRootIndex); objindex2:= fb_JBuilder.SetValue(value:= iValue2, diParentIndex:= objindex); iValue2: ARRAY[0..3] OF INT:= [1,2,3,4]; The two lines of code above produce {"key6": []} . The second line essentially has no effect.

Hello I can't find anything to read on the subject so I'll ask here. Up to now, when adding a (for example) Modbus Master, I've selected the version <= the RT version, so if I'm using SP13 Patch 3, I can use a library that doesn't exceed this. I've no idea if this is correct, but it's always worked. Can someone explain the 4.x.x.x libraries that have appeared; are they tied to a RT version? The controller I use is now at SP18Patch60, so should I continue to use 3.5.xxx or change? thanks

@ducng, Another possible situation could be that normally there are 3 inputs for MC_Power. In your above images, I can't see the "bDriveStart" input activated. As Mr. @gseidel mentioned, you need to make sure MC_Power.Status output should be TRUE. Issuing any movement command without activating the axis would naturally result in an error. For MC_Power; You can set the Enable and bDriveStart inputs to TRUE and try turning the axis activation on and off using only the bRegulatorOn input. Regards, Imdat

Hello, This is my first time using Codesys, I am trying to add EtherNetIP communication to a Raspberry PI. I’ve added the EtherNetIP Adapter configured the network setting and added some modules to the pi but when I download the project it generates the following error: “There is no source code available for the object because it is in the compiled library ‘cip object, 4.5.1.0 (3s – smart software solution gmbh)’. Do you want to browse for the original library in order to display the source code? There are 2 errors in the log which are: SOURCEPOSITION App=[Application] area=3, offset=332760 EXCEPTION [Application] occurred: App=[Application], Task=[ENIPAdapterServiceTask] I can’t for the life of me work out how to get around this. I can’t find the source code anywhere or any information regarding this error. I’m using Codesys V3.5 SP19 Patch 3, the version of the Ethernet adapter is 4.5.1.0 and the version of the modules is 4.1.0.0. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello I am using an OpusA3 with version 3.5 SP17 Patch 3 as part of a project. I had no real problem before I encountered a problem that blocked me. The detection of the OpusA3 from Codesys is done correctly. The gateway is well configured and if I ping the gateway or the OpusA3 I receive the response correctly. The problem is that when I try to connect, the Opus screen freezes and a few moments later Codesys displays an error message ("connection to device closed"). I tried to change PC, to update the runtime, to change OpusA3 but the problem remains the same. I'm a little lost knowing that before it worked without problem. I went back to a previous version of the project (where it worked correctly) but the message still appears. Do you have any clues to solve the problem? Sincerely,

Hi, When trying to activate a control Basic L license on a Wago PFC200 750-8203 the error The selected container ... does not fit your ticket comes up and won't allow licensing. I have deleted the /var/opt/codesys/cmact_license/ content 3 times and the container number changed each time after a reboot, but the problem persists. Not a happy first time experience with those weird application based licenses. IDE is 19.20. This was a e!Cockpit FW22 PLC and I used Deploy Control SL to make the green web interface red. WBM shows Codesys 2 and e!Runtime active which is a bit weird. What do I do now? Regards Heinz

Hello, there in different information available regarding the possibility to run CODESYS Control for Linux SL on a virtual machine. https://forge.codesys.com/trg/linux-sl/home/Home/ says CODESYS Control for Linux SL is a runtime system, which can run on any Debian based X86 PC, VM or Cloud container... https://store.codesys.com/media/n98_media_assets/files/2302000005/3/CODESYS%20Control%20for%20Linux%20SL_de.pdf says CODESYS Control for Linux SL can not be used on virtual hardware Currently I run the package mentioned on a virtualized debian machine running in PROXMOX Virtual Environment 7.4-17 and apart from huge jitter it runs without problems. The CODESYS key is passed as a USB defice to the VM. I wonder why there are different statements regarding the suitability in virtual machines and if the jitter would be reduced by installing CODESYS runtime on the host installing CDS runtime on the host and using a preemptive kernel (if available for the PROXMOX installation leaving CDS runtime where it is (on the virtualized debian machine) and install a preemptive kernel on the host and on the guest... System setup CODESYS version: CODESYS 3.5.21.40 CODESYS Control SL for Weidmuller u-OS-4.12.2.0 Controllers (Masters): Weidmuller UC20-M4000 ×2, configured as Active / Standby using CODESYS redundancy EtherCAT Slaves: Weidmuller UR20-FBC-EC ×3, supporting EtherCAT ring / line break detection Topology: EtherCAT ring (loop) Main question Is it officially supported to use: ・CODESYS PLC/Master redundancy (Active/Standby) and ・EtherCAT ring topology (for cable redundancy) at the same time? Expected behavior Our expectation is: ・When the Active PLC fails, the Standby PLC becomes Active ・The Standby PLC then takes over the role of EtherCAT Master ・EtherCAT communication is re-established ・I/O control continues after reinitialization (a short interruption is acceptable; no strict bumpless requirement) We do not expect completely seamless / zero-cycle switchover, but we want to understand: ・Whether this combination is supported by design ・Or whether there are known limitations or restrictions when EtherCAT ring mode is used together with Master redundancy Clarification At this stage, the question is mainly about feasibility and support, not about a specific error message yet. Good morning, I'm new on Codesys Forge, so I'm not sure if this is the right place to talk about my problem. When I open my WebVisu pages with Microsoft Edge, or Chrome, the background and also some rectangles blinking without reason!!! The application is developed with Codesys 3.5.17.10 and run on Codesys HMI, same version (3.5.17.10). After several experiments I discover that the problem happens when I made dynamic the "End of area" property of a meter object, but I can't understand why this blinking problem happens. Also, the problem is only at the WebVisu page, the "normal" VISU pages (the ones opened when Codesys HMI start) work always perfectly. Another strange thing is that the problem happens only if on the same page, where there is the meter object, there is also a trend object!?!? Codesys HMI is running on a Virtual Machine (VMware Workstation 15 player, v.15.5.6) running Windows 10 Pro N 64-bit. The blinking problem happen also if I convert the project to Codesys 3.5.20.0. This version of Codesys and Codesys HMI are installed on a Virtual Machine running Windows Server 2019 Standard 64-bit. In attachment the archive of my project. The attached project has only one page, if "Enable Counter" is not pressed the "End of area" variable of the meter is not updated in the software, and everything work well, normal VISU and WebVisu; if "Enable Counter" is pressed, the "End of area" variable of the meter is updated in the software, and the WebVisu page start blinking. I tried also to enable the "Support client animations and overlay..." property at VisualizationManager, this seems stop the blinking problem, but that property also destroy my WebPage, moving almost all the graphical object, that also seem not working anymore. I really need help to understand what I'm doing wrong, I have to develop a bigger project and I have to understand if trend objects and animated meters cannot stay in the same page. In the final project the WebVisu will be very important because the customer will use this way to access the application to monitor the process. Regards

Liebe Codesys-Gemeinde, ich habe folgendes Problem und bitte um Hilfe: Um eine auf meinem dem Raspberry Pi laufende Steuerung ohne große Mühe duplizieren zu können, habe ich mir ein Image der SD Karte mit Win32 Diskimager erstellt. Dieses konnte ich bisher ohne weitere Probleme auf eine weitere Micro-SD karte ausrollen. Anschließend habe ich mich via Putty auf den PI geschaltet, die vorherige Lizenz (die ja für den vorheringen PI zulässig war) gelöscht über - sudo su - rm -r /var/opt/codesys/cmact_licenses/ - reboot Um dann via Codesys 3.5 SP16 Patch 4 eine neue Lizenznummer ">>Tools>Lizenzmanager>Lizenz aktivieren" zu aktivieren und das wars. Durch die Umstellung des Lizensierungsverfahrens klappt diese Variante nun nicht mehr. Ich habe mir neue Lizenzen von Codesys gekauf, doch sobald ich diese in die Ticket-ID eintrage und aktivieren möchte bekomme ich folgende Fehlermeldung: ReturnCode: 403046401, An internal error has occured. Please try it again later. (siehe Bild im Anhang "Fehler_Codesys3.5V16.png") Ich habe dann meine Codesys-Version auf Version 3.5 SP20 geupdated und das selbe versucht mit dem Resultat, dass ich nun folgende Fehlermeldung erhalte: "Der ausgewählte Container "...." paßt nicht zu Ihrem Ticket. Bitte wählen Sie einen passenden aus." --> Siehe Bild im Anhang "Fehler_Codesys3.5V120.png" Was genau kann/muss ich tun, damit ich einfach wie bisher meine Steuerungen duplizieren kann? Hello all I use an axis group with two linear axes in a kinematic system. Using MC_MoveLinearAbsolute and MC_MoveLinearRelative, I am trying to realise dynamic movements (set velocity: 1 m/s, set acceleration: 30 m/s^2) with the highest possible jerk, as I want to compare this with a movement with a trapezoidal velocity profile. However, my measurements show that the axes accelerate with a maximum jerk of approx. 800 m/s^3, even if the value in the function block was set to 10,000 m/s^3. I have already increased the dynamic limits of the two axes accordingly (Velocity: 5000 u/s, Acc-/Deceleration: 250'000 u/s^2, Jerk: 100'000'000 u/s^3, where 1 u = 1 mm), but this had no effect. I have checked the input parameters of the function blocks and the VelFactor, AccFactor and JerkFactor factors are all set to the maximum (value 1). Reducing the cycle time has resulted in a higher jerk, but as we are already working with a cycle time of 1 ms, there is nothing more that can be done here. The axes themselves are still a long way from drawing the maximum current, which is why I assume that this should not be a problem either. Are there other factors or parameters that influence the dynamic limits and therefore allow faster movements? The PLC I am using is a Raspberry Pi 4 and Codesys V3.5 SP20 with all libraries up to date. Thanks in advance Manuel

Good day All I would like to share some information on this site for the Codesys team as well for the future members using Codesys Control for PLCnext if it is allowed. I hope that i Post it in the correct spot. Subject: Codesys, Codesys Control for PLCnext Objective: Using the following Phoenix components to built a PLC Rack and run it on Codesys: Hardware and Software used 1. 2404267, AXC F 2152 - Controller 2. 1088136, AXL F BP SE6 - Module carrier 3. 1088129, AXL SE DO16/1 - Digital module 4. 1337224, AXL SE PD16 GND - Potential distributors 5. 1088127, AXL SE DI16/1 - Digital module 6. 1337223, AXL SE PD16 24V - Potential distributors 7. 1088123, AXL SE AO4 I 4-20 - Analog module 8. 1088134, AXL SE SC-A - Cover 9. Codesys v3.5 SP19 Patch 4 10. Codesys Control for PLCnext V4.10.0.0 Process: Firstly I built the Rack according to the Phoenix Project+ Software tool. Where I rebuilt it onto my test bench . I used the PLCnext Engineer IDE from Phoenix and all Communications where up and running and my PLC program executed successfully. THEN I tried the same PLC Layout with Codesys and Codesys Control for PLCnext. It was not successful and gave me the "Error: Local Bus not Running". I searched the web for answers but was unsuccessful in finding a solution. So I tried to change my configuration and found that the following Modules COULD NOT be recognized by Codesys Control. The result was that the Local Bus Failed to run. 1337224, AXL SE PD16 GND - Potential distributors 1337223, AXL SE PD16 24V - Potential distributors Example 1, Resulted in "Error: Local Bus Not Running": Module carrier slot 1: 1088129, AXL SE DO16/1 - Digital module Module carrier slot 2: 1337224, AXL SE PD16 GND - Potential distributors Module carrier slot 3: 1088127, AXL SE DI16/1 - Digital module Module carrier slot 4: 1337223, AXL SE PD16 24V - Potential distributors Module carrier slot 5: 1088123, AXL SE AO4 I 4-20 - Analog module Module carrier slot 6: 1088134, AXL SE SC-A - Cover Example 2, Result "Successful": Module carrier slot 1: 1088129, AXL SE DO16/1 - Digital module Module carrier slot 2: 1088127, AXL SE DI16/1 - Digital module Module carrier slot 3: 1088123, AXL SE AO4 I 4-20 - Analog module Module carrier slot 4: 1088134, AXL SE SC-A - Cover Module carrier slot 5: 1088134, AXL SE SC-A - Cover Module carrier slot 6: 1088134, AXL SE SC-A - Cover Result: Codesys or Codesys Control for PLCnext, has a PROBLEM to identify the following Modules. 1. Hi, Communication with the ADS1115 is actually simple. 1. write config 2. write address pointer 3. read conversation register The ADS1115 works like a multiplexer. This means that you do this individually for each channel that you want to read. e.g: Channel 1: write config > write address pointer > read conversation register Channel 2: write config > write address pointer > read conversation register Channel 3: write config > write address pointer > read conversation register Channel 4: write config > write address pointer > read conversation register then you start again from the beginning You can also omit individual channels or read only one. It doesn't matter. I have written the driver so that I can also use it on the TCA9548. The driver is from Stefan Dreyer. In your case, the driver works and communication with the ADS1115 is running. As you can see, the cfgWrong:=FALSE If you could not write or read data, cfgWrong:=TRUE; This means that either something is wrong with your ADS1115 or you have connected something incorrectly. Question: what voltage do you want to measure?

Hi, I am trying to create a project using a raspberry pi, I have added the modules for the Pi and MCP3008. I have encountered som errors that I don't know how to track down. 1. The GPIOs give preprocessor errors, but I read that this does not prevent compiling. This seems to be true. I can build the empty project with no errors. 2. After adding a SPI master and MCP3008, the preprocessor errors double, but seem similar and the project again builds with no errors. 3. I add a DUT and GVL, with a function, and I get the following errors. They remain even if I delete these things. ------ Build started: Application: Device.Application ------- Typify code...
