Hi all. I am currently struggling to get my Wago PFC200 running the Codesys Runtime in version 4.9.0.0 working. I am using Codesys V3.5SP19. I updated the PFC200 to the firmware version 04.01.10(23) after having tried the latest version (04.03.03(25) from Wago and not being able to start the runtime. After reading version 23 was needed, I changed to that and at least was able to have it start the codesys runtime. I also installed the "Codesys Control for PFC200 SL 4.9.0.0" plugin for Codesys to install the Codesys runtime in version 4.9.0.0 as well as update the Gateway on the device. While I seem to be able to connect to the gateway on the PLC (the dot is green) and when doing a scan, I do now find my PFC200, which is a huge improvement to before, where with firmware version 25 it just failed to start the runtime and I never found any device when doing a scan. Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to connect to the PLC in codesys. I logged in via SSH and changed the password and I can see that this password is correct as the stuff in the Codesys PFC200 tools tab only works if I use my changed password. And I used those credentials to update the installed Runtime version, which the log claimed to have worked fine. Now whenever I try to connect to the device found in the scan, I get a authentication pop-up with empy device name, device address: 000A. As User I use "root" and as password the password that I changed it to. As a response I just get "Ungültige Benutzerauthentifizierung auf dem Gerät" (Eng. probably something like "Invalid user authentication on the device". What could I be doing wrong? Goodmorning, I would need to set a control station that can manage a PLC network. In short I need to access to all visu programmed in any PLC of the network (LAN). I was thinking to use a PLC with buttons that call, by mean an IP address, the visu of any PLC. I don't know if it is possible but I saw that there is a RemoteVisuTarget that run CODESYS Control Win V3. Can someone suggest me how to create a remote main control station from a normal PC? "Hello, I'm Cedric Lee, a PLC engineer based in Korea. I'm reaching out about an ongoing issue with the connection when attempting to control Beckhoff modules using Raspberry Pi with CODESYS for the first time. I use CODESYS to target the Raspberry Pi's IP, install version 4.10.0.0 of the CODESYS Runtime Package, and upon pressing Start in the Runtime, the target connects to the Raspberry Pi. However, within about a minute, an error window appears, stating 'no connection to the device. please rescan your network,' leading to the disconnection of the target. This cycle repeats. I've attached some pictures for your reference. I'm using CODESYS Development System V3, Raspberry Pi 4 Model B (installed as 64-bit), and Beckhoff EK1100 modules. If anyone has a solution to this issue, please help. Your assistance is greatly appreciated."

Try using an Ethernet/IP scanner instead of an adapter, I'm guessing the 2 devices you're trying to communicate with are adapters, you have to have a scanner somewhere and Codesys should be a scanner. I don't know why you're getting the error, you should be able to use your Ethernet port as an EthernetIP adapter (although I've never had a reason to try,) but it's probably not what you wanted to do, unless you're connecting to another PLC that is a scanner. Good luck configuring the devices you're trying to connect to, it will be a lot easier if you have an .EDS file instead of starting with a generic module, even with an .EDS it can be tricky getting the communication working.

Hallo, ich würde gerne die Variablen, die ich mit Ethernet/IP übertrage gerne in meinem Programm möglichst einfach ansprechen. Ist es möglich die übertragenen Variablen über ein Array direkt anzusprechen? Ich kann zwar die Variablen alle händisch benennen und dann im Programm auf diese zugreifen, aber wenn es viele Variablen sind und ich diese alle der Reihe nach in einer Schleife durchgehen möchte, so ist das schon viel Code der dafür notwendig ist. Bei mir werden die Variablen in Codesys unter dem Ordner (kann man aufklappen) 'Exclusive Owner' angezeigt. Da klingt es doch naheliegend, dass man direkt über den Ordnernamen die Variablen per Indexierung oder ähnliches ansprechen kann. vielen Dank und viele Grüße enginear

I have a project made on a PL700 PLC with Codesys and an Asem Premium HMI panel. I don't have access to the physical PLC right now, so I'm trying to use Codesys Control Win V3 x64. I created the application and loaded "Codesys Control Win V3 x64" without errors, then I activate "Start PLC" from the tray. Asem cannot connect. I tried to use "localhost" or the local IP address and it doesn't work (it's the "CoDeSys Soft PLC Communication Driver"). I need to connect my local Asem runtime to a virtual Codesys application on my PC. How can I do it?

We establish the connection with OpenVPN Connect and can ping both controllers. We have a laptop that, most of the time, will allow Codesys connection to the controllers, but we have several other computers that are unable to connect, although all of them can ping successfully. We cannot find any difference in the configuration or software installed from one PC to another. If we connect to the router by WIFI, instead of VPN, all the computers work fine. We know that scanning the network will not work over a remote connection, so we input the controller IP directly. Has anyone had a simlar problem and can offer any hint on what to check to meke the connection run?

Hi, I am using Codesyscontrol for linux 4.11 with an USB dongle with license. The log file from codemeter shows a constant error message which repeats every minute: Entry (6000437:8755) not found - Event WB0200 (ENTRY NOT FOUND), Request IP-Address local(IPV4) with UserLimit API Error 200 (ENTRY NOT FOUND) occurred! The log file from Codesyscontrol itself shows runtime licensed and I experience no other issues. But I am still concerned about the error message in the log file. Does anybody know what this is and how to fix it? thanks

Hi can you give more details? Are you talking about a danfoss? wich model? Can post the configuration of channel' I used, on the past, serial modbus with danfoss fc280 I remember ((id x 10)-1) I remember that you couldn't use continuous reading/writing of the directors but you had to use them one at a time. it seemed that reading empty registers (caused by x10) was not accepted by danfoss. So I had created a scan that used just one register, then the next etc etc with a timed interval. But this was for the serial, I don't know if it's the same thing with ethernet. I currently use Ethernet TCP/IP interface with FC280.

However, when I try to write data obtained using SysProcessExecuteCommand2 to the database using fbMsSQL_compact(FUN), an error message "Dest server on ip address:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and port:1433 is unreachable" appears and writing is not possible. From what I have researched, it seems that writing is not completed in one cycle of fbMsSQL_compact(FUN), and when SysProcessExecuteCommand2 is executed first in the second cycle, the work done in one cycle of fbMsSQL_compact(FUN) is reset. Could you please give me some advice?

Does Ver. 4.12 support Raspberry Pi 5? I have three issues. The first issue is that Codesys cannot detect the RPI 5 when I want to download the runtime. When assigning the IP Address manually then I can download the runtime. The second issue is that I cannot connect to the RPI to download a program. Sometimes the window pops up and it ask for the user credentials, but it is still not connecting. The third issue is that I cannot connect to an ESP32 configured as a Modbus Slave with a Raspberry Pi 4B. I can connect to the ESP32 via a Radzio! Modbus Master Simulator. I am also missing the function Write Holding Registers in the setup of the slave. Are this known issues and when it will be solved?

I ordered a cheap managed switch and tested it as soon as I received the switch. It works great! I even went a bit further. As you can see in the screenshot, I created 2 Codesys containers. Each one having 2 fieldbuses. The first one has EtherCAT and EtherNet/IP and the second one has EtherCAT and Modbus/TCP. All going through the same ethernet port from the PC to the switch. The switch splits it up into 4 different networks. The hardest part was to figure out how to configure the switch. @eschwellinger, thank you very much.

Hi, I tried some different libraries (CmpApp etc.) to find some global variables that I could read out as a variable in the codesys environment. Do any one of you know which libraries are best suited for this, and how I can read it out? My goal is to send messages, warnings etc. to the system that communicates to the PLC. Currently if something goes wrong I need to see the logfiles, or go online with the controller. I think I could save a lot of time if I could read the errors from our user interface that is connected to the PLC by TCP/IP.

Hi there! I'm testing out modbus TCP/IP for my home brewery, using Wago PFC200 as both slave and master. I'm using Wago library WagoAppPlcModbus. Holding registers, input registers' and discrete inputs works fine, but when trying to write multiple coils, it doesn't work. Any idea what I'm doing wrong here? Attached is a screenshot of my code. I tried both using bit mapping and without. If I change to FC05, and write only 1 coil at the time, it works fine. But I want to write all at the same time.. Any help is very appreciated :)

Hello, Exulting the command /opt/CoDeSysControl/Files/run restart debug I get this response from the linux terminal:(ScreenShot1 to ScreenShot7) When I try to reconnect via codesys this line appears at the linux terminal level:(ScreenShot8) A few seconds later, the error window appears on Codesys.(ScreenShot9) I see that following the command /opt/CoDeSysControl/Files/run restart debug there are errors, are they the problem? hi, i am currently trying to adapt an i/o device for a project. the node id is unknown and there is no eds file available. no data is being emitted from the device as a giveaway, the baudrate is known but useless without the node id. is there an sdo request available to determine the id? i cannot get the device to leave pre op status even with a global nmt request. please help. no hair left.

Hello? I have a problem with datasource... I am trying to connect to a OPCUA server. I create a datasource, but I can not login into it. I need to use login credentials to login... Everything works fine in UAExpert, but in codesys I cant seem to get in properly using the login credentials... I have tried to configure the datasource initializer but seem to keep failing... Do I need to call it somewhere ? Will the find endpoints work with this configured to store my password ? !

Hi all, I need a help. I want to create Frame where some parameters are done via reference input to this frame. What I have realized that if I use for Label/Caption etc. string variable (%s) it is not included in translation list. This is a quite a big deal and I did not find way how to add text to the list manually. Would you give me a hint how to proceed? I hope there is a way (workaround) how to do it. Thanks a lot. M.
