The following guide describes how you can adapt the user management for the first time in a project. It deals with the definition of a user and a group to which he belongs. Hello, I am trying to connect a Festo CMMT-AS-C4-3A-MP-S1 servo drive to a WAGO PFC200 (750-8210) using EtherCAT and CODESYS SoftMotion. Hardware PLC: WAGO PFC200 750-8210 Drive: Festo CMMT-AS-C4-3A-MP-S1 Communication: EtherCAT CODESYS version: Device description version 6.3.1.1 Drive firmware: 36.10.3 Current Status EtherCAT communication is working correctly: EtherCAT master = Running Drive detected and operational PDO input and output mapping is active Statusword, position and velocity are updating correctly Current PDO mapping: Outputs: 6040 Controlword -> %QW0 6060 Modes of operation -> %QB2 607A Target position -> %QD1 60FF Target velocity -> %QD3 Inputs: 6041 Statusword -> %IW2 6061 Modes of operation display -> %IB6 6064 Position actual value -> %ID2 606C Velocity actual value -> %ID3 SoftMotion Axis I added a SoftMotion CiA402 axis under the EtherCAT slave: Axis type: SM_Drive_GenericDSP402 Axis communication state: operational (100) No SoftMotion mapping errors anymore Problem MC_Power is executed with: Enable = TRUE bRegulatorOn = TRUE bDriveStart = TRUE but: Status = FALSE Busy = TRUE Error = FALSE ErrorID = SMC_NO_ERROR The axis remains in: SMC_AXIS_STATE.power_off DSP402 state = SWITCH_ON_DISABLED The most important observation: Statusword = 32784 (0x8010) Controlword (%QW0) remains 0 all the time SoftMotion never writes 6, 7, or 15 to the Controlword. Additional Information The axis status page reports: "The license is missing or invalid. The PLC runs in demo mode." I am not sure whether: The missing SoftMotion license prevents Controlword generation completely. The axis is still not correctly connected to the EtherCAT slave despite operational communication. There is an additional CiA402 configuration step required for the Festo CMMT-AS drive. Has anyone successfully used a Festo CMMT-AS MP drive with CODESYS SoftMotion Generic DSP402 on a WAGO PFC200? Any suggestions on what should be checked next would be greatly appreciated.

Hello , I am currently evaluating the CODESYS PROFINET Controller SL on a Revolution Pi Connect 5 and have encountered a problem with acyclic PROFINET Record Access (WRREC/RDREC). System Hardware: Revolution Pi Connect 5 Runtime: CODESYS Control 4.16.0.0 (SDK 3.5.21.10) Development System: CODESYS V3.5 SP21 (64-bit) CommFB: 3.5.17.10 ProfinetCommon: 4.6.0.0 PROFINET Controller Device: PN-Controller 4.6.0.0 PROFINET Device: NORD DRIVESYSTEMS SK205E with SK TU4-PNT GSDML: GSDML-V2.46-NORDDRIVESYSTEMS-PNT-20251016.xml Network The PROFINET network is completely separated from the office network. RevPi: eth0 → Office network eth1 → PROFINET wlan0 → Visualization The PN Controller is configured to use eth1. IP configuration: RevPi (eth1): 192.168.100.1/24 NORD Drive: 192.168.100.3 Connection is established successfully. Current Status The PN Controller reports: Controller Status = Run Online = TRUE IP Active = TRUE Connections = 1 Cyclic PROFINET IO communication works correctly. Problem I am trying to access PKW parameters via WRREC (Record Index 100). The request buffer contains: 01 14 00 04 92 00 00 00 00 00 00 which corresponds to Reference = 0x01 Request = Read Axis = 0 Parameter = 170 + 1000 Subindex = 0 Value = 0 The WRREC call is fbWRREC( REQ := xWrReq, ID := ConnectionID, INDEX := 100, LEN := 11, RECORD := ADR(TxBuffer) ); REQ is pulsed for one PLC cycle only. Observed Behaviour WRREC enters BUSY state and never finishes. Observed values: BUSY = TRUE DONE = FALSE ERROR = FALSE STATUS = 16#FFFFFFFF indefinitely. Packet Capture A Wireshark capture was taken on the PROFINET network. Observed traffic: PROFINET RT LLDP DCP Observed: successful cyclic IO Not observed: DCE/RPC Record Write Record Read RPC Bind No RPC packets are transmitted at all. Diagnostic Messages The controller repeatedly reports AR alarm.ind(err) AR CMI timeout although cyclic IO communication continues to work. Already Verified The following points have already been checked: correct Ethernet interface (eth1) correct CREATE_ID result correct Device ID correct Slot/Subslot correct GSDML correct REQ pulse RECORD buffer is larger than LEN cyclic IO communication works different Record Indices (100...104) tested Question Is there any known issue or limitation where WRREC/RDREC requests remain permanently BUSY and no RPC Record Access packets are generated? Could this behaviour be related to Runtime 4.16.0.0, PN Controller 4.6.0.0, the missing runtime license (currently running in demo mode), or any known issue with the PROFINET Controller SL? I am currently evaluating the PROFINET Controller SL and therefore the runtime is operating in demo mode. Could you please confirm whether WRREC/RDREC (acyclic Record Data services) are fully supported in demo mode, or whether a valid license is required for these services? if you're here because you are making the same mistake as me, I just resolved it. I mistakenly thought I didn't need to write the word attribute in the column labeled attribute. changed this 'symbol' := 'read' to this attribute 'symbol' := 'read' The last two in this clip are still wrong: I recongize this is probably a big "duh". That's ok. I like to fail out loud in hopes it helps someone else from looking silly.

On a PC with the Control Win, this is probably related to the fact that the CAN drivers are not loaded. Go to the folder where your Control Win Configuration file is: - E.g. C:\ProgramData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3x64\E1FA7ABE - Open the CODESYSControl.cfg - Remove the semi-colon in front of the CAN driver you want to use (section ComponentManager). - Set the component ID to the next number in the list (e.g. Component.8) - Save this file and restart the Control Win.

What maybe helps is the Visu Dialog ST demo project: https://store.codesys.com/en/visu-dialog-st.html This has an application IECOpenDialog where dialogs are opened using the VU.FbOpenDialogExtended function blocks. The fbOpenConfigurationDialog call has a reference (interface) to the "close listener" FB of which it's method is automatically called when the dialog is closed. This way you can create specific function blocks for each dialog when it is closed and do what you want with the data that might have been changed.

you need at them moment a download once (for the configuration files generated including addresses) then stop the plc - exchange the persistence file ( without the config file) This will be improved to 3.5.18.6 and 3.5.20.0. (possible then to generate offline bootproject including full persistenmanager files) - this is if you have not 100% the same bootapplication on the devices. In case you copy the whole Application (PLCLogic) directory it should work out of the box - but only with 100% same bootprojects as mentioned above. By the CODESYS Automation Server would help solve this too.

hi, anyone else having trouble with opc ua in codesys sp20? i get Error 'BadIdentityTokenInvalid' was returned during ActivateSession i have tried both windows x64 runtime and linux runtime. i have created a completely new codesys project for this. in each of them i have only added the symbol configuration and selected one tag. i have tried several opc ua client, like ua expert, nodejs and python. all return Error 'BadIdentityTokenInvalid' was returned during ActivateSession so the problem must be the opc ua server.

Consuming assembly O->T will be the hex of the assembly you want to reference for output data - I want 102 (DO Data Only) shown in the Wago web page 102 = 16#66. Producing assembly (T->O) is the assembly you require for input data - again shown in the Wago web page - I want 108 (DI Data Only) or 16#6C Then set the number of bytes as per the data in the Wago web page too (both 2 in my case)

I have found a work around. I have written a python scripts that runs on user login (entry in .bashrc) which overwrites the webvisu.htm and webvisu.cfg.json file with the configuration for the B&R T30 panel (resolution and disable scaling). First I tried to add this setting to the the CODESYSControl.cfg, but that does not work following the big CODESYS Control V3 Manual. I've seen that you can use cmds like below to run SA from scripts. system.commands["staticanalysis", "run"].execute() But I would like to run different SA configuration files to create separate logs and cant find anywhere in the scripting engine if this is supported. This stems from if I turn on everything, SA stops reporting issues in the message log when the list gets over 600ish issues. Once we have done an initial clean up of code this wont be an issue, but I'm trying to get a baseline to track improvement.

hello edwin i have did the same and i could connect the opc-ua server but i dont see anything in the resources tree, in the application i linked my variables to the symbol configuration but i dont see that in the uaexpert. if i use the same application with a non linux system i can get those variables values and see the complete tree structure. What could be the problem ?

Ah - forgot another question as it may be related to the PLL problem: I am executing a 4ms cycle. I do not call (from what I know) the Ethercat_MAster periodically in my program. The bus cycle task is set to the Ethercat task. I would assume that the master should send 250 frames per second. Yet, the status of the master says it transmits 500 frames per second which would indicate that the master is called twice. Any ideas there?

I can confirm that at my 4ms EtherCAT Master the frames per second is equal at round about 500 with Codesys SP19. The same program at SP16 it was at 380-430 f/sec. for me it will be interesting too, whats the reason is for this high frame count/sec? I havn't had the time to use a paket sniffer and analyse all the frames. I can't help with your other questions, sorry.

Hello, I'm trying to run TargetVisu on my Linux IPC, and while it does work, the controls are misaligned compared to my WebVisu. Both visualizations are full-screen on a Debian 12 VM with a resolution of 1280x768. The WebVisu is running in Firefox. Are there any configuration I should adjust to ensure the controls align properly between the two? Any guidance or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Hello everyone, i'm having some problems commanding AS1060 step motor with EL7041 (rev22) drive. With motor i've also the incremental encoder (05.2420.1230.0200.5009). I can correctly move the motor in "Position controller" operating mode with the internal counter. The problems start when i set the Encoder in feedback type or i change the operating mode. Does anyone have experience with these two terminals and can give me some advice of main parameters to check or change? Thanks everyone

The MC_Home or MC_SetPosition requires a programm cycle to be completed. In my application the speed is approximately 120m/min and the programm cycle is 2ms. That means that i will have a 4mm loss on each Trigger of either MC_Home or MC_SetPosition. The best option is to change the value defined in the axis configuration. I tried the SMC_SetMovementType but it only works with the axis standstill or powered off. I need to be able to change it while the axis is moving.

What is the task configuration? When you are online and look at the task monitor, what does it show? (Put a screenshot here). If the processor is overloaded you'll likely need to increase the cycle interval, disable the watchdog, or change to a cyclic task instead of interval based? Also, You might want to adjust your task priorities so they don't all have the same priority. Just a few thoughts, although looking at the task monitor would help in troubleshooting.
