Hi, this is a bug in CODESYS Softmotion. Due to this bug the size is limited to a maximum of 32767 elements. However, we recommend to use way smaller buffer sizes. You could use a small buffer (it should be big enough so that it does not run empty when the interpolator processes the elements). In the beginning you fill the buffer in PLC_PRG until it is full. Afterwards, you start the interpolator. The interpolator processes the elements and removes them as soon as it travels past them. In PLC_PRG you check whether new elements can be stored in the buffer (NOT QUEUE.bFull). If the buffer has space, you generate the next elements and add them to the buffer (SMC_AppendObj()). Hi all, I am trying to utilize the ARRAY_SDV standard deviation function, part of the Math group in the OSCAT library downloaded from the CODESYS store. My Codesys version is 3.5.19.10. When I add the OSCAT to my Library, it shows a subset of the library (Standard) as fully installed and signed (see pic). However, the Math functions are not in this Standard group. The Math functions I need can be viewed as source code in the full OSCAT_BASIC, though this the symbol next to this library suggests it is source only and not fully installed. When I try to declare an instance of the ARRAY_SDV function in a program, it is not known. I have tried reinstalling and Building . . . Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jeff

you need to get the addons that the person that programmed it used. I always store an .installation-config file alongside the project. If you have lost that, then it gets a bit of a headache: I think even with SP18 you can hit yes to open it anyway, and it will suggest which addons it thinks are missing, if you double click the yellow "missing-addons" in the status bar. If you know you have the right addons, you can do a "Save As.." and it will write your current addon list to the file, and you wont get the error next time.

We have several old project written with 3.5.17 and 3.5.18 and also some older Until now when a customer ordered a product from us. We just installed (we have a tested image) and added a license Now the license policy has changed and we have to buy a License Control Basic S or M However it only works with CODESYS Development System Version 3.5.19.10 or higher Does that mean we have to upgrade all our old products? That is not a simple task as a previous post has explained with weird error messages from CODESYS V3.5. Next we have to do rigorous testing of our applications afterwards. It is very expensive

If not you have some kind of communication problem, wireshark may be picking up some data but the scanner may not be configured correctly to receive the data. Check the T>O and O>T bytes and make sure they match on both the scanner and adapter. I've had very little success loading a .eds file and having the configuration work without some manual configuration. If you have a green icon, have you enabled the device to always update variables?

Following up on the invalid user authentication on the target Not 100% sure what the problem was but following my post I managed to create an administrator level user. Then my next issue was that I could not connect to the device. I might have flipped the device from a 64 bit version to a 32 bit version so I did UPDATE DEVICE back to the 64 bit version; still could not connect somehow. Then I did two things at the same time that fixed my problem: Wiped the Codesys Control Win 64 bit version and installed the 32 bit version Installed latest Codesys Control Win V3.5 SP20 (released today) I wish I knew which one of these actions fixed the problem but at least the problem is solved. Hoping this post may help someone one day

Hello, I have a PLC in a remote location. I can connect to it, but when I use a different PC, it asks me to re-download to the PLC - which will a) interrupt production and b) cause version issues. Codesys being open-source, if someone else has made changes, I need to be able to connect, upload the current project, compare it with mine and then decide what next. Every time I connect, it says Warning: An application 'Application' is currently in RUN mode on the PLC. As there is no matching compile information, this existing application needs to be replaced. Click 'Yes' to download the latest code or 'No' to abort. What am I doing wrong?

Hello everyone, I created a new sandbox image on the D drive with Codesys Installer. However, when I launch the IDE from this image, it gives the error shown in the attached image. -- Codesys V3.5 SP19 Patch7. -- The installer is the latest (2.5.0). -- All packages in the installer were updated to the latest version as of today when creating the sandbox. -- The originally installed IDE on the C drive does not give this error when launched. -- I last upgraded it to Softmotion 4.20.1.0 through the installer. Using Codesys runtime for Linux and thinking of the process of preparing multiple such systems for my customer. I don't necessarily have physical access to these units, they can be (very) remote. The idea so far is to use an image to install the Linux OS and codesys runtime. Application updates can be done by distribution of the PlcLogic/Application/application.app and application.crc files. But whats the most practical way of managing the license for these units? Do each controller need to be physically connected to a License Manager instance or can licenses be distributed by means of a license file for each unit? I believe that the license should be stored in soft containers for each unit. Help and insights appreciated! Per

So, I downloaded the package on another computer and installed it manually. But this package has dependencies packages: CODESYS.Control SL Extension Package, V4.0.0.0 CODESYS.Control SL Deploy Tool, V4.10.0.0 As I said, the computer with CODESYS is offline. I cannot use the package installer to search for these packages. I did not find them in Codesys Store with another computer. Do you know where to find and download them? Hello, I have been trying to use the ModbusFB functions so I can put some code into libraries, but it seems to be very slow for me. I have a Modbus device with 100ms registers. I previously setup 10 channels in the 'traditional' Modbus Slave with channels and mappings - and set a cyclic trigger at 100ms - this worked fine. I then tried the ModbusFB example, and setup reading the same 10 blocks of modbus addresses, copying the example and putting all of the requests into an array and triggering the requests sequentially. I timed how long the requests are taking to get round to each one, and it is around 1s 450ms. How do I speed this up to match the cyclic time? Dear All, This is regarding Codesys Virtual control SL demo version. I am facing one issue. First I will describe the steps what I have followed till now. 1. In a PC I have Windows OS. Here Codesys IDE is installed, and also using the installer option of IDE I have also installed Codesys Virtual control SL. 2. A edge-gateway is also running in the same windows PC as local host. 3. Next I have a seperate PC with Ubuntu OS with docker installed. This machine is in the same network. 4. Now I have created a project in Windows machine using device "Codesys Virtual control SL". 5. In the Ubuntu machine I am running the Codesys Virtual control SL as docker and it is using the ubuntu machine network only. 6. Next using the localhost edge-gateway when I am searching the virtual control SL docker it is able to detect it. (screenshot attached) 7. But after creating the creadentials it is telling No Device is responding. 8. I have also checked the wireshark logs and able to see that in destination port 11740 data is coming. 9. From windows PC telnet ip 11740 is also working. 10. I have tried downgrading and it seems fine now. I am now on version 4.3.0.0 for the library. Mainly the PN controller caused the issue for me. Funny weird is that even the PN controller versions 4.3.1.0 and 4.3.0.0 cause the error. Version 4.2.0.0 works fine.
