Hi ryusoup, looking for the same functionality. I tried to use your code but couldn't figure out all the details. to enable Listener should it be called once or cyclically? the listener should be called with the intance of FB which you described? should it be this instance to be called cyclically too? I tried to make it simpler, just force the uiYear/uiMonth etc. but couldn't make it work. Could you please share some details how the whole struckture looks like? Would be great if you share an example UPD: found the issue. Your code works. Thanks for the posts

Hi everybody, I am looking for a solution to send files, for example, to an ftp or a cloud. I can't use oscat library because 64 bit controller are not supported. Therefore, I see that the IIoT library has some functions that might help me to implement this sending process in codesys. Does anyone have any examples of how to do this? I have spent some days with this issue without success. Best regards.

Hi all, I need a help. I want to create Frame where some parameters are done via reference input to this frame. What I have realized that if I use for Label/Caption etc. string variable (%s) it is not included in translation list. This is a quite a big deal and I did not find way how to add text to the list manually. Would you give me a hint how to proceed? I hope there is a way (workaround) how to do it. Thanks a lot. M.

Hello, I'm relatively new to PLC programming. I am trying to creat a ramp down function, I have an example here of what I am using. I can get the function to work, the issue is that the OUT (variable3) value is being held by the FB so after I use it once it no longer works. In this example i set variable3 to 100 and the rest is as seen, over the course of a minute it ramped down to 10 (as desired). But when I deenergize TEST_START, set variable3 back to 100, and then re-energize TEST_START it immediately jumps back to the previously held value 10. The reset on this block just pauses the function and holds the last OUT. In my case I will need the function to start OUT at a set value, ramp down to the IN (variable2) value, and then accept a new OUT value to ramp down next time the block is energized. Hopefully this made sense, if anyone has any advice that would be awesome!

The hole setup is made by 3s. So its a comination of one not two. If Epis decide not to support extra licence whats then the funtion of providing an option with a single license ?? So the idee by 3s has a flod. Epis change the system to add the Stick. I send controller inc stick to Epis. On my software i can see the stick. An then you tel me i need a other license to use an license ?? Makes completly no sense. Codesys should be flexible but is not. I tried Delta. But has no HMI and has its own Codesys ?? Why ?? Then i tried Crist. The block there own system by a password. But dont know the password and cant switch it off. At the end the want me to pay for support to solve ther own made problem. So i send it al back. The extra license is adviced by 3s . Now a few month later still no working solution.

Hello, I have an OPC-UA server with an information model. For many values, there is a defined range (e.g., 0 to 100). If a client enters a value outside this range (e.g., 120), the StatusCode should change to Bad. How can I accomplish this? Any help is appreciated! Thank you in advance. Hello all, im working on a project that requires me to convert an old automation direct DirectSoft PLC d2-250-1. One of the problems im encountering is that all of the comments are attached to members of the different addresses. When i convert the addresses (1777 "C" registers, 777 X registers, and 20,0000 V registers) im running into difficulties keeping the inputs/outputs correct since they are missing documentation. Is there a good way to retain the comments of the indexes in the array? Secondly, initially i was declaring the "C" and "V" addresses individually and this worked to retain the comments as to which register did what, however i ran into a problem when one rung reset (or set to 0) approximately 600 C Addresses. Since each tag is separately declared this proved to be nearly impossible without a literal wall of code that attempted to crash the program. So i converted all of the registers (C,X,Y,V) into separate structs, declared them as arrays and pointed all of the original call outs in the program to the newly defined structs. However i have now lost comments and the program is very hard to follow. Thanks for any help with this issue.

Hi Im trying to setup a Weidmüller WL2000 to run with MODBUS, to get some data from a server. Codesys V3.5 SP20. The issue is, that whenever i attach an ethernet port and add MODBUS Master und also a Slave, codesys will compile the project, but there always seem to be some remaining errors, which or only visible, when setting the messages window to "Pre-Compiled". I tried a lot of stuff to get rid of these errors, but cant find to seem the reason. New installation of codesys, cleaned project, setup completely empty new project, manually adding libs. Nothing helps. Any help is apreciated. Maybe we are doing something wrong.. Example Project is available, if somebodey wants to take a look. Greetings and thanks alot

4.11 appears to solve the problem. Thanks for your help. I had first installed the 64-bit version of RPiOS, but looking at various posts and the product's page on the store which only lists 32-bit compatibility, I downgraded to the 32-bit version. I did this before trying 4.11, and it did not solve the problem. Thus my working system is 32-bit, and I am wondering if I can go back to 64-bit or not. An 64-bit OS is not listed as compatible on the store's web page, but when installing there actually is a 64-bit version listed (automatically chosen when installing on 64-bit, but otherwise greyed out). Is 64-bit supported and the website is out-of-date, or is that some kind of work-in-progress?

Hello I am using FTP_CLIENT to donwnload/Upload a text or CSV file from FTP server. UpLoading from PLC to FTP server is working without any problem but when I try to download from FTP server I get an error. The FTP_CLIENT Block allows me to add URL but I do not where I can specify the direcory to save the downloaded file... is there anyone has an experience with downloading from FTP server using FTP_CLIENT block. To do this, the device must be updated accordingly and the copilers and library versions must be adapted. Test the security settings in the OPC UA connection function block to ensure that the correct security policy and certificate are selected. If you are using a dynamic connection to the OPC UA server, probe that the connection settings are correctly configured and that the OPC UA client is able to establish a connection to the OPC UA server. Also, please loock into the log files for any errors related to the OPC UA connection function block, these should be listet there. The log files may also provide additional information about the issue and help you to further troubleshoot the problem. yes, sorry this is an accident in current Gateway Version. Either use 3.5.20.0 Version. When I create a new textlist in Codesys 3.5 SP19 Patch 5, it wont appear in the dropdown menu at Rectangle element > Dynamic texts > Text list. If I just type the name of the textlist to the field (in quotes), I get an error saying that some file is missing. Any good ideas what to do and what is going on. I recently updated to that version and I only now noticed this when I needed to add a new textlist so Im quite screwed with this not being able to add text lists. While im typing this, I tried copying an existing list and modifying it and it seems to show. Any ideas?

Hello, what would be the most efficient way to check whether the file exists or not. I don't want to use file.Open function, it seems like rather inefficiet operaton. I considered GetAttribute function, but this function doesn't accept filename (with path) as an input. Basically I need to check first time when program is loaded to the runtime i.e. when application is started for the first time, whether a file exists on the specific location or not.

The green icon with an ! next to the device is concerning. Is the data type correct for the input, you are using a byte input but the description says string. Is there anything useful in the status tab?
