I would like to know if there is some restriction on using it on the safepart of the PLC (I tried but my PCL put himself in Stop...) ? Hi, Communication with the ADS1115 is actually simple. 1. write config 2. write address pointer 3. read conversation register The ADS1115 works like a multiplexer. This means that you do this individually for each channel that you want to read. e.g: Channel 1: write config > write address pointer > read conversation register Channel 2: write config > write address pointer > read conversation register Channel 3: write config > write address pointer > read conversation register Channel 4: write config > write address pointer > read conversation register then you start again from the beginning You can also omit individual channels or read only one. It doesn't matter. I have written the driver so that I can also use it on the TCA9548. The driver is from Stefan Dreyer. In your case, the driver works and communication with the ADS1115 is running. As you can see, the cfgWrong:=FALSE If you could not write or read data, cfgWrong:=TRUE; This means that either something is wrong with your ADS1115 or you have connected something incorrectly. Question: what voltage do you want to measure?

Hello I have a problem with Codesys on Raspberry pi with Bullseye The device is not recognized as a Raspberry pi, as I get this error : ooops... this runtime was built for RASPBERRYPI. Hardware version or firmware version not supported! (-18, 0x00000BB8, 0xFFFFFFFB) I'm running Codesys on a compute module 4S with Raspbian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye), my kernel version is Linux 5.10.90-v7l+ Codesys version is the latest, released last week (4.11.0.0, CODESYS Control V3.5.19.61 for ARM-32Bit - build Feb 22 2024) I know it works on the same device if I use Raspbian 10 (Buster) with Linux 5.4.81-v7l+ kernel, but for some other reasons I have to use Bullseye. What can I do ?

I recognized that I have to start the two services "/etc/init.d/codemeter" and "/etc/init.d/codemeter-webadmin" in the docker container as well. If I do so, then the command "cmu -x" returns root@sensoredge-field-netfield-produktmanagment:/# cmu -x cmu - CodeMeter Universal Support Tool. Version 7.60c of 2023-Aug-09 (Build 5625) for Linux/ARMHF 64-Bit Copyright (C) 2007-2023 by WIBU-SYSTEMS AG. All rights reserved. So this time there is no indication any more that "Codemeter is not running". But still we are getting the error when using the license manager in CODESYS development system.

Hey Everyone, I'm having a bit of a struggle finding settings that will reliably maintain a connection between the webvisu and a touchscreen client. Every so often the HMI disconnects and will perpetually display the red spinning arrow with the "Error Happened, Will resume automatically" text. Power cycling the HMI to force a reconnect will re-establish comms. It seems to happen during periods of inactivity if that's a clue. From what I've gathered so far this seems to have something to do with the webvisu update rate, buffer size as well as the visu task scan rate. We first tried the default settings as follows: Webvisu Update Rate: 200 ms Webvisu Buffer Size: 50,000 Visu Task Scan Rate: 100 ms Priority 31 Other Tasks for Reference: Main Task Scan Rate: 100 ms Priority 1 Alarm Manager Scan Rate: 50 ms Priority 31 Ethercat Task: 4 ms Priority 1 This would disconnect some what regularly. We then made the following changes to try and stabilize: Webvisu Update Rate: 150 ms Webvisu Buffer Size: 75,000 Visu Task Scan Rate: 75 ms Kept other tasks the same. This seems to disconnect even more frequently. Also for reference the network is very small and only consists of the PLC, a small switch and the HMI. We're also not controlling frames from outside the visu program itself. The frame changes are all done natively. Any suggestions to get this to stop disconnecting? Oh and whatever the issue is the log does not record it. Figured I would ask here before opening a ticket. Thanks in advance for your help!

See Release notes of V 1.11: 1 e!Cockpit Release Version 1.11 (2022-07) ATTENTION: If a library that uses asynchronous tasks (e.g. WagoAppConfigTool, WagoAppCloud or function modules such as Dali-Master) is dragged into the project, the simulation cannot be started. It is already sufficient to add the library to the project (an FB does not even have to be instantiated). I guess you are using one of these libraries/modules in your project. We e.G. often use PWM modules, these are also affected.

It's probably because you have an INT in the input to the MUL function, which will then try to output an INT as well. INT variables can only handle values of -32768 to 32767. Your value of 523000 won't fit in an INT, so it turns into an invalid number. Use a DINT. This is usually better for working with time values anyway, because time values are all 32 bit. Or if you can't, use INT_TO_DINT(gvlp.detectie_nalooptijd_s) in the input to the MUL function.

Hi guys, I am new to the Visualization. I am having a problem. I have multiple web-panel to use webvisu. I have my software dowwloaded into the one PFC200. There are 3 screens connected to it. I noticed that if I switch page/visualisation on one of the screens, the others will change as well. Three screens are with different URLs that I set in the software. Just adding some info regarding the issue above. Logged onto the project using dev3og5 user (see screenshots); appeared to be ok although when attempting to logon to the device message says 'currently not authorized to perform this operation on the device' (screenshot). If user dev3og5 has same permissions as Owner user; why would it not be authorized. I am at a loss; any assistance would greatly be appreciated. Thank you Mike

In your project you selected the "CODESYS Control Win V3" as device, but the device you want to connect to is a "CODESYS Control Win V3 x64". Those are not the same. If you double click on the device during the network scan, you will get information that these are not the same, but that you can change the type in your project to the x64 bit type. Another option is to "right-click" on the device in the device tree of your project and select "update device" then select the x64 type.

It's already there, the service get started as default. I missed to say that sometimes it happens w/o even the system get restarted. Anyway, the main issue here is to know the state of the runtime. We collect a lot of informations about the whole system, and it would be nice to have a way to detect the runtime state.

Hello there, I am new here and in programming. I need help with the basics. I am trying to do what I mentioned in the title. I have an analog input. So I have a real or integer data type value. I want to delay it. TON and TOF only work with bool. I think there is a function block that has two inputs, 1 for real or int and 1 for bool. And if bool is true, it will give the output as real or int. I don't know but I need something like this. Actually, it is not exactly like that. In other words, it will not show the real value at the input at the output after a certain period of time. I want it to show the real value from 2 seconds ago continuously. The purpose of doing this is to compare the real value I received with the value from 2 seconds ago and find out whether it went up or down. I am using only FBD. Please help me with this. Hi everyone. My question about: where I can learn (read or watch) an info about codesys workflow through the system IO libs? I want to know how to implement I/O drivers by my self. In the system libs I see many interfaces, methods etc... But there is no explanation about them, just names of methods and fields of the FBs. I know about this page: https://forge.codesys.com/drv/io-drivers/doc/Generic/ There is so BIG the device description file and not so clear explaining of the attributes and elements, also some elements or attributes missed at it all. Yes, there are code examples on this page, but, so shortly and, for example, code about Modbus drivers is absent. And even if I try to add the IoDrvFB with lib, I get and error, something like: "failed to load IoDrvFB driver". And what about the book of codesys that written by Gary Pratt? Is there information about system libs and drivers in this book more clearly? Thank you :)

Does the device have a green icon next to it when the PLC is running? If not you have some kind of communication problem, wireshark may be picking up some data but the scanner may not be configured correctly to receive the data. Check the T>O and O>T bytes and make sure they match on both the scanner and adapter. I've had very little success loading a .eds file and having the configuration work without some manual configuration. If you have a green icon, have you enabled the device to always update variables?

Hi Guys, I am new to this forum and i would like to ask od anyone got communication with Siemens v20 vfd working via Modbus RTU? I followed many websites and finally got the communication working but have problema with read/write registers. For example if i try to read holding register 40011 which is accel time i get noth but when i set the offset 0x0000 en length 113 i get ale the registers. I cannot get speed control working. I read someth about stw (control Word) and hsw but have some problems to understand it en get it working. It would be really nice if someone could help me with it. Thx

Hi, I'm using a Festo Codesys PLC (CPX-CEC-C1-V3), which is connected to a HMI panel. Both exchange data via OPC UA. Occasionally, the HMI stops displaying data, and looks as if there is no connection. If the HMI stops, the only way to make it work again is to restart the PLC. Restarting HMI has no effect. When the PLC is restarted, HMI starts working normally again. Is it possible to restart the OPC UA server from PLC code? I hope this will make fixing the HMI possible without a PLC restart. Thanks

Reading between the lines of what you did not specify, it therefore seems to appear that in the programme, at the end of the movement order, there is an order to remove power and switch off the pulse modulation. if this is the case, it is obvious that the motor then remains free. If the position is to be maintained at the end of the movement, the motor current modulator, which on the PLC side is controlled via the MC_Power method, must not be interrupted. Another possibility is that in the motor drive settings, the standstill torque current is set very low or zero and without position monitoring. You have to check this via the servo motor drive.

Hello, I have a new project and I need to connect to a TCP socket using the URL instead of an explicit IP address, myendpoint@mydomain.com Which library is best suited for this? This is for a new enterprise project, the endpoint is a server in a datacenter running some real time application. We have big IP, it will automatically reassign the IP address to the backup server if a crash occurs so an explicit IP won't work for me. I've done this in RS logix, working now to migrate that code over to codesys. Thanks in advance!
