Is there a way to have both a Public No Login Screens with Screens that do require login and File Transfer? My Idea is to have the default page be View Only with a Login Button in the Corner and then Once Logged In you can change settings and download files depending on your user group.

VarAccGetAddress does not return the correct address for TYPE_ARRAY or TYPE_USERDEF. When you use VarAccGetNode, it returns a proper IBaseTreeNode if you provide the full path of an array element or structure element, and it even provides the correct data type. The problem is that with TYPE_ARRAY, it returns the start address of the array rather than the indexed element. Hi, I imported an old project created with version 3.51.20.50 into the new version 3.51.21.20. I'm using ModbusFB.ClientTCP v4.5.0.0. Strangely, I can no longer download the project due to a licensing issue I didn't have before. The number of Modbus channels has gone from 1 to 54!, and there's no license that would work. I am struggling with this issue right now (again). I have nested structures with configurable array sizes. In the past I ever used parameter list. Very easy way! As of now I cannot find any solution. Ridiculous that they deprecated it without an alternative solution.

Hello, I have a Raspberry Pi 3 which has a printer connected to his USB port. I have a PiFace Board on the Raspberry. I have a python script file (.py) to print a logo + a text. The script is working because when I execute it from the Raspberry terminal it works. Now, when I push a button on the PiFace I would like to execute the python script file to print. You don't have to create 2 libraries. CODESYS will handle it automatically based on the selected device in your application.

Which device do you use? Does this have persistent memory (e.g. NVRAM) available? Maybe first ask your PLC vendor about the possibilities and how they advice to use persistent variables? Maybe your slave device didn't properly closed its socket port and CODESYS is unable to reconnect? Did you restart your slave device?

I'm beta-testing a new EtherCAT drive for a rotary (modulo) axis in a system where the encoder resolution is 81920000 counts per rotation. If I enter this in the SoftMotion Scaling/Mapping tab for "increments <=> motor turns", I get the error below on the Commissioning tab. Is SM unable to handle a high-resolution encoder? The bus cycle is currently set to the default of 4 msec (Control Win V3 x64), although I plan to reduce that to reduce latency, possibly by switching to the realtime (RT) master....

Thank you, so "Remote TargetVisu" is the same thing as "TargetVisu"? I think there needs to be more documentation about this, its very confusing.

The fix for this is when you install the control SL license, there is a checkbox for the Visu S license option. You must click this option. The Visu M is technically an upgrade to the Visu S, if this is license is not installed them the Visu M will fail as shown above. Thanks JoJo for the solution!

Looking for thoughts on creating libraries that can be used on both 32-bit and 64-bit controllers. We are currently writing software in CoDeSys for both target types and will continu to do so for the near future. Projects are always unique, no straight forward copy/paste, yet there is enough similarity between them to use libraries for recurring logic. I do not want to create and maintain twice for both platforms if this is not absolutely necessary. I am aware of useful datatypes like __XWORD, __XINT,...

It is not needed to add Targetvisu connector - for using the TargetVisu for Linux. The reason is - TargetVisu for Linux is basically a remote TargetVisu which could connect to any CODESYS plc not only the loacal one - therefore only a Webvisu connector is needed to have it work. & it seems a bug with this anoying update proposal.

Ok, think I understand. The reason for the error is I try to include complex variables (FB) in the persistenced data. I will try to use {attribute 'ac_persist_exclude'} to exclude those elements.

I still cannot enable persistent manager for my project (and successfully login to a device). Project compiles with no errors but during download/login it fails with the fairly limited message "one or more errors occurred". The only clue I get from the system that this messages is displayed during "Generating code..: relocation pou". Any tips pointing me in a direction how to solve this very much appreciated!

I have installed both the Codesys Control for Linux SL 4.16.0.0 and Target Visu for Linux 4.16.0.0 packages in Codesys 3.5 SP21 Patch2. When I try to add a target visu, it is missing. I have spent hours on this and tried different machines, all behave the same way. Is this a bug?

I have successfully activated a CODESYS Control Performance M on a Linux IPC. When I try to activate the CODESYS Visualization M license it fails with this error. Any ideas? This is a WAGO 752-9401 FW4, running Debian 12.

I'm trying to use an fbMsSQL_compact function to read data from an SQL database. It works with some databases, but there is one database that I can't seem to get it to work on. It's set up the same as the other databases that I've tested with the only difference I see is that the name of the database is cut off in the status message. I'll get a message like "User: User logged out succesfully from database: 12345" But the whole name of the database is something like 1234567.

This solution did not give me peace of mind, so I decided to check other options again, especially since artifacts appear on some controls in WebVis. The solution is to enable the Multitouch handling option in the additional settings tab.

Vielleicht wäre es ein Versuch wert, den String vor dem zurücksetzen des Execute in eine Variable zu speichern, ob dann was drin steht und danach erst ablöschen?

I had this code working in a previous version of CoDeSys to read variables from a GVL that were added to the Symbol configuration. The problem now is that when I get the _IBaseTreeNode_Parent, it returns a valid interface, but none of the methods or properties work. If you monitor the _IBaseTreeNode in the watch window, it does show the correct child count. However, it fails at step 30, where the child count incorrectly returns zero. Wenn ich den Funktionsblock sendmail mit den entsprechenden Daten aufrufe bekomme ich die Fehlermeldung CHECK_RESULT_FAILD. Laut Dokumentation sollte im sServerMessage der Grund stehen, dieser ist aber leer. Was kann der Grund hierfür sein? Gibt es eine ander Lib mit der ich Mails versenden kann? Viele Grüße Micky

For anyone with this issue, you may need to: Open the text list properties (right-click the text list once you create it). Select the Text List tab. Change the Download by option to Visualization. I was fighting this for so long. Once you do that, you should find your text list appears in the drop down when editing a visualisation.

Attempting to log in results in the message: “The application does not exist on device. Most configurations I have come across impose static MB configs in which all configured devices MUST be present and functional......

ditto I'm just getting my codesys wheels on and the modbus stuff is confusing. I am re-platforming an existing PLC application On that platform one could simply tag variables to register numbers and the whole shooting match could be accessed via modbus and typically holding registers and input registers were treated the same way... On codesys I see there is a modbus TCP server Device I/O mapping tab and a Modbus TCP server IEC objects tab I get the sense that one can configure the serving of variables...

I have come across this. The only way i could get it to work would be to define a word that is also the same address as the Bools. eg %MX600.0 through to %MX600.15 would be individually defined in the variables and them have another variable word defined at %MW300. You still need to break out the word in what ever program you are using to read/write the OPCUA tags.

Actually, importing the UA (core) version 1.0.0-2025-02-01 also does not work. IDE chrashes. I am able to import a version of UA (Core) model from 5.7.2020.

I can import some OPC UA information models, allright. Like the UA (core), Scheduler and PNEM models, etc. However, when I try to import the ECM model (Energy Consumption Managment), the Codesys IDE goes down after a while. Any clues?

As far as I remember, the Reconfigure functionality doesn't work for Modbus devices. But... Each Modbus device in your device tree has a name. You can set the property "Enable" of this device to FALSE to stop communicating with it. So if one of your Modbus Slave devices name is "MbSlave1" in the device tree, then in your code you can set the Enable to FALSE to let it stop communicating: MbSlave1.Enable := FALSE; Please let us know if this worked on your controller with your application and your CODESYS...
