Hi, did you scan this pn device by rightclick in the device tree and add it that way? Best Regards Edwin
...hat es funktionert?
you need to install on Windows the CODESYS network driver - and add the component in the RTE configuration.. thats it. https://help.codesys.com/webapp/_cds_rtev3_adding_dynamic_components;product=core_codesys_control;version=3.5.17.0

seems that the installation process did not install all packages. We are working on it to fix this, would recommend to reinstall 'complete' if possible deactivate Antivirus prg during the installation

just rightclick in your project in the devicetree, update device , select show all versions and downgrade to 4.0.0.0 version. Sure update the plc side would solve it too.( and I guess will not cause problems)
Gruesse Edwin
here: at the very bottom, Contact / Service / Support https://store.codesys.com/en/
would be intresting need to be investigated - could you send us device log - and projectarchive to the store helpdesk?
nope, only though logical IO's

seems to be a bug..

CODESYS installer...see my post above
you could use a browser and license.codesys.com to activate it on the key.
Hi, please start CODESYS installer- (C:\Program Files (x86)\CODESYS\APInstaller) this should lead to an update of the Packagemanagement to version 3.5.17.1 This will solve the problem then. ( the problem that you are not able to install 4.1.0.0 over 4.0.1.0 version)
did you install 3.5SP17 complete? Should be part of that. If not installation has failed at least in parts. Would reinstall everything.

.. either a wiring problem or the crevis slave has a problem I would say. Check additional the status page in the Ethercat Master. There are you should sse LostFrame Counter etc
.. either a wiring problem or a slave has a problem I would say.
... will work with current version of the runtime, either 4.0.1.0 or 4.1.0.0
untouched!
use 4.0.1.0 release, then it will work.. BR Edwin
Hallo, welche Version verwendest du genau? Grüße Edwin
sorry please contact our sales department

hm.. strange, could us use the Security Agent to generate a selfsigned certificate? Do you want to access the webvisu pages by http: or encrypted by https: ? Anyway in my config it work without problem even I see this error (warning) too..! Could you try to change the port in case there is another service running on 8080? [CmpWebServer] WebServerPortNr=8081 for a test..? This works without Security Agent.

could you give us the whole log? the lines above seems not to be the problem
use 'putty' or any other ssh client sure you could this on commandline too. use latest Raspberry PI Os and latest CODESYS Runtime then it must work!
login by shh and give us the codesyscontrol.log
or maybe a plc with the same name have been already added to your server?
as far as i know this is not available in V2.3
I would first use the current version (4.0.1.0), if this is a PI4 will not work with 3.5.14.0 Runtime. If these problems are still there with the current version, then we need: cat /tmp/codesyscontrol.log
Hi, I would try to disable the application... and restart the plc or the pi. BR Edwin
Hi, this does not work with a switch, you need to have for example: https://www.beckhoff.com/en-us/products/i-o/infrastructure-components/cuxxxx-epxxxx-ethercat-components/cu1128.html but why not just connect your slaves all in one row, daisy chain?
Hi, I think you need to update the Automation Server Connector plugin. Current version is 1.17.0.0
Hi Luca, how is the plcload ? - to check in the plcshell.
Hi Luca, how is the plcload - to check in the plcshell?
Hi, I would point to this example - how to do Layer2 communication if you need to connect a CAN device without EDS file. https://store.codesys.com/can-bus-example.html
Hi, all these problems happen because on installation of 3.5SP17 there are some packages randomly fail to install.(Even worse there is no feedback that they have failed) At the moment the only recommendation we could give is: Disable your Antivir programm while installing CODESYS and select a full/complete installation. After succesful installation it must be the same CODESYS than SP16 - no parts missing - mo red cross on missing parts! We work on a solution for this with, sorry we deeply apologize...

..both are possible mc prefered.
depends basically on which drives you want to use. (Ethercat / CANopen / Stepper...) In general you need to have a rt_preempt patched Linux kernel, then I would say the Pi is motion capable. That's it.

this makes sense due even login from Visu/OIPUCA etc has then credentials to and even possible would be to enbale encrypted communication between CODESYS and plc. If needed you could disable this by: Please change the *cfg file and add the following line: in the /etc/CODESYSControl_User.cfg [CmpUserMgr] SECURITY.UserMgmtEnforce=NO
rightclick in the CODESYS device tree in your project -> Update device (show all versions should be enbaled) -> downgrad to 4.0.1.0
I would suggest to check SPI speed, I assume you use 1 ms to work with the values (the task which are working with the IO's in CODESYS - maybe a tried is to do > 1ms - but not sure if this works? Additional you need to set the CPU speed of the Cores to a fix value, because by default they are floating and this influences the SPI speed to - this had reported another user I think here in the forum/talk
this UserManagment is not related to the PI OS, it is just for CODESYS use. On first download/connect with CODESYS IDE you'll be asked to add them. Edwin
which version of CODESYS and which version is on the Epec device are involved. Maybe Epec support might be an option to ask too.
hi, which Raspberry PI runtime version is installed exactly? BR Edwin
with 3.5SP17 the forced UserManagement have been introduced. Means on first logon you need to add a user and credentials for login to the plc. Could be disbaled by a setting in the config file if needed. But recommended to have.
...already done...
This is already done...

Hi, usually these kind of problems do/should not occure. It seems that not all packages have been installed ( on setup of CODESYS SP17) Could you try to deactivate your Antivir and give the setup of SP17 a new change to do a full install? Edwin
check if any instance of CODESYS or of the Package manager is still up and running in the taskmanager - and quit them via taskmanager

Hi Koen, if you quit CODESYS it will install - this is new to SP17 release..! BR Edwin
1. 4.0.1.0 Pi Package deinstallieren 2. EdgeGateway Linux installieren 3. PI Package 4.1.0.0 installieren Grüße Edwin
Hallo, yes, seems to be a bug, the workaround is: 1. uninstall 4.0.1.0 Pi Package 2. then install the Edge Gateway Linux 3. then install Pi Package 4.1.0.0 Regards Edwin

..expect it for this week to be in the CODESYS store.
if the browser running on the plc ( raspberry pi)?
... at the moment it is as designed, yes.
it just need to fit - if you have Control RTE 64 in the project tree in CODESYS you could only login to Control RTE 64 target and vice versa. Sure on a Windows 32Bit system it is only possible to install RTE 32. So the Target system / Windows OS specify what you need to use. In your case just rightclick in your device tree in CODESYS and switch to Control RTE 64 by 'update device' and select Control RTE 64

Hi, you need to wait till 4.1.0.0 SL Runtimes are released....
you could download it here: https://store.codesys.com/codesys-opc-da-server-sl-bundle.html
check the these project examples here: "c:\Program Files\CODESYS 3.5.17.0\CODESYS\Projects\SoftMotion\4.10.0.0\Examples\Tutorial\CNC_File.project" ... and others in this directory
you need either to remove the 'adjust ip setting' ( see screendump) or allow the runtime to change the IP. How to do this? In /etc/CODESYSControl_User.cfg you need to add [SysSocket] Adapter.0.Name="br0" Adapter.0.EnableSetIpAndMask=1

..Arm SL and Arm 64 SL will come with the 4.1.0.0 SL release. This is because the runtimes are independently released now. Will come out soon.(I have no exact date at the moment)
I think a cold restart after the cmp1000 driver Installation should fix it!
give the CODESYS Automation server a try: Even if you just connected to the internet while updating it, this is the easiest option you have to do it. the only thing you need to do is: Install Winpcap "The last official WinPcap release was 4.1.3" https://www.winpcap.org/install/default.htm no npacp -> this does not work! no Win10Pcap -> this does not work either! then it will work, I'm sure!

maybe it is worth to check this examples here: https://store.codesys.com/application/softmotion-robotics-hmi-example.html#Product%20Description
no, which plc's are you using?
really CODESYS V2.3? On CODESYS V3 you could deploy the plc's with the CODESYS Automation Server.
